I dont know where to post this so apologies if I am in the wrong section.

Being a crazy gambler that I am, I got offered to stay at a penthouse suite in a Gold Coast casino for the weekend. So, I went in and thought I'll do the right thing by the Casino and decided to drop a few Ks at the Casino.

What do you know.... Bam 150k betting on a progressive Dinosaur machine 25$/click. Got absolutely hammered and played through another 10k but still up by 140k :))))))))))))

Time to bet online now :)

Just wanted to post as I am chuffed!!

:lolsign::lolsign::lolsign::lolsign: I was just thinking that! If I was a casino rep/affiliate or whatnot I'd have been spamming the OP myself especially when they have over a 100k to play online:lolup:

Brilliant win and hearty congratulations.

Please lock some of your windfall away before you risk it on more gambling.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime win for the average gambler and you don't want to end up with nothing but a fun experience at an online casino at the end of the run.

Stating the obvious - consider very carefully where you're going to gamble online, and only after checking out the accredited casinos here.

Dont tell me the villa is Vegas Villa. In case you didnt know, this is a casino under the Fortune Lounge group and powered by Microgaming.

I wish!!!:p ... No its just an investment property in Brisbane. I know the Villa you are talking about .... My business partner wanted us to go there but I need to make a bit more money IRL before I make that trip.... 10k chips per call on the normal tables  .... Someday.... A man can only dream

Oooops I thought you meant the actual "Villa" in Vegas where all high rollers go not the online casino lmfao.

Good going!!

It's always a tragic story when someone wins huge and plays it all back. I'm glad you had the self-discipline to sock it away into something tangible. Congrats!

Good on you mate, enjoy the money. But as a trader, I think blue chips stocks are better options for investing right now.
Properties are a bit down.

cheers

Congrats downunder!, and no i dont mean to congratulate your private parts ^^
anyway @ plastic, that was a joke right? :p
If not: property is something that will never be totally worthless, stocks however are hot air...
My opinion ( which has been proven more then once in several bank and finance scandals)
I think gambling is even more lucrative then stocks!
(not that there isnt a humongous amount of money made on it daily)

This is not a joke. property can be worthless too. Also, you have to consider the cost of council fee, interests on loan, maintenance etc.
For long term the Oz property ROI is much lower than Oz stocks.

Ofcourse, high return is high risk...

Just my 2 cents

That could be , but lets just say you buy a villa, there would have to be some heavy problems for you to lose the total worth
it represents.
Thats about it imo, and the loan and council fee should represent only a small amount, maintenance could be costly, but should be
returned in form of rent, living comfort (if you live there yourself) or when its sold.
Not saying your wrong to invest in stocks or anything.. just that its not my cup of thea, and property is much steadier, less riskier and
can provide you with a nice (extra) roof over your head:)

/end off topic ^^

At least Sunny decided to really invest his winnings on something solid. Many have an uncontrollable urge and play back most of it in no time. At least he is level-headed to think in the right direction undoubtedly assisted by his wife of course.

Sunny, I hope your villa quadruples in value but before you sell it invite some of us over to spend a holiday, all-expenses paid of course.:D

I am in awe, that's an incredible stroke of luck. I'm sure the casino will be happy to invite you back and treat you well.

I'm curious when you are playing $25 a spin, what's your goal to stop playing? Broke? Down $1000, up $2500 or more? Hit a bonus round, whether it's a good one or not?

I tend to agree that property can rarely lead to a total loss of your investment, unless almost all of it is mortgaged at too high a rate.
