Maybe a glance at the future or maybe a glance what we could have been if only the manager had the bottle to drop players from the start of the comp?

100%. Should have kept Gordon on, taken Kane off and get more speedsters on the pitch.England should've let Rashford out vs Argentina.
I was going to tell you to get your Bacofoil hat making kit ready, you grouchy old git.I think there's a deal here, France let England go 4-0 up, but will not exceed 3 goals in return. That means England can get their bronze medals made from recycled 1c pieces and Ummm...bappy can get his hatrick to prevent dog Mess getting the Golden Odour Eater or whatever it is.
Both win something. Sort of.

Yes, he is now a member of a very exclusive club.Wow, Mbappe has 10 goals already.
But... let's stop gilding the lily and appreciate the fact that previous 10-goal plus WC scorers had either 6 or 7 games only as opposed to 8 in this edition. The dross was also knocked out by round-of-16 whereas here mediocre teams were present in both R32 and R16.Wow, Mbappe has 10 tournament goals already.

So I'd prefer (inconvenient for the media sycophants fellating Ummm-bappy and co.) there to be context provided via the average goals per game played when these are ranked after the tournament ends.
I.E. if Ummm-bappy remains on 10, then Gerd Muller's 10 in 1970 still sits above him. Only fair.
No wait 9/10. Taking one away for that hairstyle.Martinez 10/10

Who, for Madonna? Madge the vadge?Half-time shows are unfairly derided as pointless. I beg to differ....
It creates the perfect opportunity to go for a dump and a leak.....
Messi was the only Vargentinian player to shake all of the Spanish players hands. I am so pleased the dirty bastids lostJUSTICE.
One team played football and tried to win the game.
The other offered diddly squat, apart from their usual brand of shithousery.
Congrats Spain, you fully deserved the second star on the shirt.
And VARgentina? FUCK YOU
They are such a bunch of shithouses that they can't even win with class.Messi was the only Vargentinian player to shake all of the Spanish players hands. I am so pleased the dirty bastids lost
Don't you mean 1986, Steaua Bucharest vs Barcelona? The game that got the pass back to the keeper banned? This is giving me serious 1991 European Cup Final vibes.....
Come on Spain, finish these shithouses off.
Funny you say that, I was thinking of adding that game to my post, but my memory of that game is a bit sketchy compared to the 1991 final.Don't you mean 1986, Steaua Bucharest vs Barcelona? The game that got the pass back to the keeper banned?
...I’ve been able to observe the work done at various sports clubs in my area, ranging from the most humble ones to clubs with a certain track record and level (Sabadell, Terrassa).Spain did really well to win so easily and make both France and Argentina look no better than Cape Verde who had to play exactly the same way in the first match.Buenos dias!!
Well, as a Spaniard, I naturally feel proud of the national team, not just for having won the World Cup, but for having recovered part of the essence of football that Spanish players have been receiving from a very young age across the different clubs where they develop. As a dad of two kids, one of whom is actually trying to become a professional player over in the US, by the way...I’ve been able to observe the work done at various sports clubs in my area, ranging from the most humble ones to clubs with a certain track record and level (Sabadell, Terrassa).
I’m not sure how football academies work in the UK, but I understand there’s a fantastic foundation, and perhaps the most important thing is the passion and DNA that our nations feel for football. We are talking about the two best leagues in the world, and if it weren't for a bad match by England in the semifinals, what would have been fair a Spain vs. England final...didn't happen.
We look ahead to the 2030 World Cup. I hope my national team continues to grow, mature, and evolve because I think there is room for improvement. I don't know if we'll ever reach the level displayed in the South Africa World Cup, but I believe there is still a lot of maturity to come from many of the players who took part. Yamal himself, a kid who is barely 19 and didn't have the expected starring role personally, I wasn't expecting a super World Cup from him, but rather for him to learn the meaning of what a unique and unrepeatable event is. With humility and hard work, he can become a world-class benchmark player.
As for Argentina, a lot has already been said. It was a national team that unfortunately couldn't shine at a level of play like France, England, or Spain could, but they played their World Cup their own way, and the reward they got was much more than what they demonstrated from a purely footballing standpoint.
Salut!![]()
BTW;

Wally???....Spain lifts the 2026 trophy, but wait. Who's the guy in the photo that wasn't on the pitch?
