World Cup 2026 World Cup 2026 - USA/Mexico/Canada

World Cup 2026
I had to check the BBC Sport site to confirm that was real about England having their training kit stolen. With AI cannot trust anything nowadays.

That is just absolutely mad!

Ah, 5.66 are very good odds, but i only have a Ladbrokes account for real money, and they give way worse odds than Unibet. Gonna check what crypto sites offer. Some 4 to 1 I would be OK with, and the bet with these countries to win seems safe

This Ladbrokes, 3 countries

And that is why bookmakers LOVE accumulators! Dead in the water from the first game....

I found my betting results to be much, much better once I ditched the accumulators and focused on 1 game alone. For instance on over/under goals, there's always an offer at around 4.0 odds (in most cases for the over 3.5 - which would be roughly the same odds as you get from a 4-fold like the one above). Now, think about it. An O/U 3.5 has two possible outcomes, that acca had 81, and with so many possible outcomes, rest assured one of the teams will find a way to mess up your betting slip, just like Qatar somehow managed last night. Obviously, probablity comes in to play too, but still. One game. That's the way. 🧙‍♂️

I wonder how the BBC commentators will deal with Curacao's right back??

Their sphincters will be twitching like a rabbit's nose lol:

lol.webp

If I had stuck a bet on these first few games I would be well out of pocket. As with prem games there is always at least one game that lets me down. These days I chose the odd game to use as a bet builder and it adds a bit for fun while watching the game. If I lose I really don't give a monkeys.
I hope that the Germans stick at least 4 past Curacoa tonight to pay for their very dodgy licences they gave out for years to casinos while I enjoy a few sherbets

I hadn't bet on the tournament yet myself either but went for one tonight. Thankfully it went really well, and I was only missing a 3rd Havertz goal for the full jackpot (he could so easily have gotten it on 2 occasions right at the end..!)

Great result. I have yet to bet on WC games. I missed the German game but I would have gone for at least a 4 goal win. I am yet to see a possible world cup winner

Nice to see all those positive posts about the Dutch 2nd team :)

Spain 0 Cape Verde 0. WOW!!!!!

And no one can say that Cape Verde didn't deserve that point. They absolutely did deserve it.

If they beat the Saudis, they will get out of the group. What a story that would be.
An impressive team through and through. A lovely, new aqcuaintance. Cabo Verde 👏 I thought they'd be little more than another Curacao but I couldn't be further away from the truth. I wonder how many bet slips went in the shredder after that game. Thankfully, I've lived long enough to know Spain can never be trusted in these kind of games!

Belgium v Egypt on the other hand. It's really tempting to bet on a few goals there!

From the little I caught of the match, their goalkeeper made some really good saves.

Was a great match tbh. Watched it after around 30 minutes as the commentary sounded like Cape Verde were doing pretty well. Was expecting Spain to play like Germany and just watch the goal replays.

Cape Verde had a few chances to counter too. Just didn't seem to have the composure or confidence to go for it. Could have nicked it 1-0!

Funny how a 7-1 can be boring because it's really an underdog getting smashed by a giant and a 0-0 can be so entertaining because the underdog defends everything thrown at them and still tries to go for goal when they can.

From the looks of it, football countries don't shine much except for Germany, and countries that just play a ball aren't looking bad at all.

It will be interesting to see how England vs Croatia plays out. Surely in the Croatian mindset, they'll be thinking, We need to smash it - it's the first game of the tournament. Regardless, my guess is 2-1 for England.

Good morning peeps,
Regarding Spain’s match yesterday against Cape Verde, honestly, it was not a beautiful game overall. Obviously, you could see the general superiority of the Spanish team: 74% possession vs 26%, 27 shots vs 6, 11 corners, etc...Those stats, in a normal match, would give you a clear winner, but that was not the case.
My concern, more than the result, is really to see how the key players of the team are doing physically, and whether they are able to recover that physical tone. If they do, I still see them with many chances of going far in this World Cup.
Let’s remember that in recent tournaments , and the clearest example is Spain itself in the South Africa World Cup, where they ended up as champions...many champions started with defeats. The last one, in 2022, started with a defeat for Argentina.

Everything under control  🏆

Salut!

LOL do you live in that bloody Empire Casino?

Yeah, just for a few days. :D My other half went abroad to visit her parents, so i'm solo for a bit. After losing around £100 on those AI football recommendations, i went to the Hippodrome and had a decent run on the slots. Lucky Lady Charms gave 90 spins at £5, and on the very first spin after the bonus ended, another three scatters dropped in. A few other games paid out nicely too.

It came to just over 4K, so i decided to grab a few days at the Travelodge to watch the football games on the big screens and just see what everyone's up to. Just woke up, heading to the sauna/ steam room now, then off to Empire. They do perfect chicken wings with a spicy honey sauce there. 🐤 🍺

So Spain can be cancelled out by any team playing 5-4-1.

Stats are irrelevant, you win by scoring goals my friend!

Yes, lost to the Swiss in first match 2010, but they were a decent team.

CAPE VERDE vs CURACAO final!!! (Curacao lost their first game but could still recover.)
