Win verification ongoing....

Hello all. I'm new here and have decided to post to ask for help. Last Tuesday I joined an accredited casino in the UK and won a large amount on a well known 5 line slot machine. Not wanting to jinx my luck I decided to ring up to do a manual withdrawal. I was told that any large wins need to be verified. It's been 9 days now and even though I have been in touch with customer services on a daily basis they can't tell me when this will be verified as they are at the mercy of their software provider to verify the winnings. I had a few other wins and have been able to make 5 or so withdrawals and deposits but not from the 'big' win as I had that taken out of my games wallet for safe keeping. I am feeling frustrated that this accredited casino has not verified the win or been able to tell me how long it should take. Has anyone else been in this position and how long did a win verification by the software provider take. Any help would be much appreciated!

It was about 40k...on a progressive slot...how long on average does this take to check out ? Many thanks for your reply!

Since progressive's are paid by the software provider it needs to be confirmed, I do know that. Maybe some others will chime in on how long it should take, I'm not sure but congrats on your win!

Congratulations on your win! There's an tab up top for I-gaming reps, you could PM the rep for the casino to see if he/she might have a better idea of how long.

Have you submitted all your ID etc? I would expect since you are a new player, process might take a little longer, but while I am sure it feels like forever, it's not that long yet when you consider weekends.

Want to share what game/software it was? Maybe someone here has had a similar experience.

If it is wide access network jackpot which is common. Then casino need to check with all other casino who are linking up to this. This will take a while and thats part of WAN jackpot verification. Good luck hope that the verification is accepted and your id/document goes well with out hitch then they will be more than happy to pay out depends on if its RTG or not. Some RTG will have limit payout per week or something like that yes. Once again congratulation on your winning. :)

OP says that he has made some withdrawals already so it seems docs are approved.

9 days seems very excessive for a verification. It probably shouldn't take more than a day or 2. I understand that there need to be verification from software provider, but a progressive should be priority #1. Its not like they have 20 other progressives at the same time. The other reason it becomes a priority is to make sure the new progressive amount is accurate. The main reason for verification is to conclude there are no errors on the jackpot.

9 days is far too long, and if it's Microgaming or Playtech it would be a few days max from previous postings. Is the casino a 'big boy' chain? If not, they could be stalling for funds to accumulate before they pay you. This is the problem with win 'verification' - it is done via the casino to the software provider and the player has no way to oversee the process or be in contact with the software provider to make sure they and the casino are singing from the same hymn sheet. Progressive wins wouldn't affect this because the software provider pays the casino in one go so the casino should forward the funds then.

Apologies! It was not a progressive jackpot, just a 5 line slot with a high potential jackpot. This is potentially what is slowing the process down. Interestingly enough, I never had to provide any ID documentation to carry out my withdrawals!

Dunover - yes, it is one of the big boys. I find it strange because I was able to withdraw some of the initial win the day that I won. In order to get the full whack I decided to manually cash out.

You'd definitely need verification for 40k - high rolling BDBA were you??;)

Since its not a progressive it shouldn't take that long to verify. Actually I don't hear too often about verification for just a large line hit. This makes it even stranger.

It is one of the major players with an impeccable reputation so I'd like to think they wouldn't mess me around. I did pester them by email so maybe they are being belligerent. I have to admit that at this stage I don't think I'll get the money!

If it's a "big player" with a good reputation you WILL get the money, unless something isn't right.

9+ days does sound like an awfully long time though.

Thanks Lahutti - from my point of view I feel I'm squeaky clean, I'm not a frequent gambler, I have a wee binge then I stop for a year, I've never won this much though! I find it strange that I had withdrawals authorised without any ID being presented...is this common? I'll cross my fingers and toes and hopefully it'll be okay! I don't think you can rest until the cash is the account! Lol! If it doesn't work out then a cheeky wee PAB will be in order!

Have they still not asked for ID ?
I would think that would be their very first step, with a win this size. Smaller wins CAN be paid without verification.

I really wish you'd name this place. It doesn't sound quite right to me ;)

I actually emailed them today offering to provide any necessary ID to prevent having to do it later. They said it wasn't necessary and they have already authorised two or three withdrawals in this last week without any ID. They are supposed to be one of the UKs best so I'd be surprised if they are messing me about, they'll be in for a nasty surprise if they do ;)

This is a bit worrying, because they are usually obliged to ask for ID when total w/d's exceed 3000 euros or pounds. It doesn't take 9 days to verify a win. I'm guessing on a Playtech slot here. If it's a big casino 40k won't dent them so I hope they aren't playing the 'delay and he'll reverse' card, but you've already said you've flushed it and can't reverse, correct? Mmmm.

There's nothing stopping you naming the software, because whether MG/Playtech/IGT/Netent there are numerous big accredited sites offering those games, and it won't identify the casino itself. Obviously naming the game might, as the chances are your 40k on a specific slot will be very noticeable to the site concerned.

Assuming your story has all the details and there are no issues we don't know, I would personally get Max on the case now, because you should have been paid already, even in the worst case scenario of a scabby Playtech 96-hour pending period. Even then, if it was a big site like Paddy Power/Boyles they pay quicker anyway and don't have a 96-hour dodge.

This is what's confusing me, because I can't think of a big casino name that pays so slow on any software. I don't blame you for being discreet in this thread, but I personally believe you are at the stage where some encouragement to expedite the payment is required.

It's an IGT game, they've now had seven full working days to verify and still no joy. This is what puzzles me, it's not as if I won £100k plus. I would nt think my sort of win would be massively concerning to a big accredited casino.
