From watching the battle scores and running some numbers, I believe the reason for so many complaints that the new slots are garbage is because the volatility has gone way way up. So yes it will still hit that 97% rtp after 5 million spins. But over the short run, its like the lottery now.

Meaning, they are offering huge wins which people can hit with astronomical odds. Lets take BTG slots for example. Bonanza. someone hit 14000x. Danger high voltage someone hits 18,000x. So for those massive wins, many many players are going to have to lose. If you think of that person betting $1 and winning $14,000. That is an rtp of 14000%. In order to get it to its number of 97% rtp there are an awful lot of players that need to lose

I have been watching the Book of Dead battles numbers which is actually one of the best examples to use since most of us have these short sessions with real money play on it. And for every big winner, it seems there are 20 losers. Yesterday a book of dead battle had 1 winner with an rtp of 430% and 26 losers with and rtp average of 45%.

So from these high variance slots, a rough estimate would mean you have 1 in 20 chance at a positive rtp. And the real monster wins, the odds are really out there.

If you play medium volatile slots like pragmatic, the odds are better that you walk away with a profit because 14,000x hit or any even near that, do not exist.

Like the lottery, you can win that big prize but most times you are going to lose.

Look at the slots that have been released lately. i will use a couple examples. Luchadoro and flame busters. Go play those slots and see how it ends. I bet most people would report back a loss. They are pretty high variance. And most new releases are following suit. I dont know why the industry has taken a turn for the higher variance stuff, maybe player demand/feedback. But it seems to be the norm now

    Enjoy your day

p.s. bonanza is rigged though :)

if you think about the average casual player, who has never even heard of variance. All they see on a paytable is the stated maximum win.

Even a not 'out of this world' variance game such as IR. States a max win of 72,000.00, the majority of players won't even realise that you'd need to get a 5-reel WD at max bet to achieve that.

well you all know what i think , battles are clearly nothing to go by , total different server approach from main server , so doesnt mean anything.

if you look at your terms of gameplay like using slots tracker i've got some 48 slots played or so which isnt many , 41 of these are below 50% rtp some have over 1k in spins some are even lower than 30% again under 500 spins , you do the maths & can conclude that indeed something has changed.

You cannot keep putting it down the high variance bad luck not enough spins etc etc , if stakes dont play a part then how is it i can drop back on bets & bosh hit a feature so many times this happens, i'm still not seeing the mega wins at any level , it seems its for new players only, streamers affilates etc etc who are getting these long runs of great play.

The average £50 deposit @40p per spin doesn't see a feature, the average feature is around 10x bet ive now had 6 features on testing BTG HV & just on that the average works out 9,9x bet in bonuses , netent wild animals thingy again 4k in spins 5 features again average 10x bet , what chance does a player really have.

i know im a moaner but the deposits going into online slots & getting battered pretty much every time is now alarming me , time to go back & play live games only ,no more slotting. there frankly just a ripoff in terms of what these casinos are advertising @ 96% rtp.

add screeny of what im moaning about. )

14 years ago I started playing slots online at Quicksilver and Paddy Power slots I used to play the original Wheel Of Fortune and Sunset Dreams and had lots of good times and the nice people at Quicksilver even let me use all those £5 for £5 free cards you used to get sent through the post as I was ill and couldn't go to the high street casino.

Now 14 years later I have reach a new low on online casino gaming, yesterday I had to put limits on all accounts as the game play has become so ridiculous I can no longer afford to do a past time I used to love.

I chose to put deposit limits on most of them rather than exclude so I can still take advantage of free spins but I feel sad that I have had to put deposit limits one every casino including some of a limit of £0 when the slots should be fun as well as a chance to win but yesterday I used a 100% bonus and did not get one win not even a small return on the slot I chose.

Unless something changes either in my financial situation or the casinos change the way they now operate then I can no longer go on playing like this I have withdrawn twice in this year and both withdraws were under £80.

The newer the games the worse the payout seem to be and it certainly is not a coincidence.

The casinos have lost my custom now and I want to play but they don't seem to want me to.

Yeah the only reason why I say its because of the volatility is if you think about someone having a 18,000% rtp...thats alot of people losing to get to the slots theoretical rtp. If my vote mattered I wouldnt want a slot to payout like that. Because the chances are 1 in a million or so. So for a hail mary win, means me losing a shitload trying to hit it when in reality its incredibly unlikely to happen

But then is it possible to rig a slot. Sure it is, look at vikings go berserk. They have that one rigged once you hit a certain point to drop the rtp and suck money out of the player. And its not just me or the study im doing. Its all over the place those comments. I even took screenshots of respected streamers saying it without provoking any kind of conversation. And then many members of chat.

I was going to post that stuff in my study thread but whats the point, no one cares and always want more and more. Plus I didnt want to post peoples comments without their permission and I just dont think I care enough to go and ask for it.

Bonanza. Dont even get me started on that one lol

I think some slots math model is wrong or has a flaw. Look at game of thrones. How can that slot be soooo cold always. its either nothing (99%) or all (1%) there is no inbetween with that one.

Thunderstruck II. This one ive said before so have trillions of others, that slot has been changed. And I think their math model is flawed for the wildstorm feature. Do you see screenshots of wins from that? Maybe a couple a year. And lots of people play it.

Bottom line is (and this gets me madder than a bag full of mad things) The casinos / providers / operators know we rant and rave about it, yet they never deny anything. They will also change nothing in our favour and continue to get less and less player friendly. I hope my kids don't grow up to be gamblers, dread to read their T&C's!

They also know we will continue to play and they can basically "Get away with murder!" Gamblers will always be gamblers, just like foil hatters like me will always foil hat. (The term foil hat now means "Truth be Spoken")

Pisses me right off as I'm 101% confident these casinos have been making money since day one, you know the good old days when they'd "drip feed" your balance away instead of like now, taking it in one GREEDY bite!

For every one of us who says "Fuck it, No More!" there is easily 10 more naive mugs waiting to take our place so they simply cannot lose

Whoever said "Lets change the RTP across the board, they never check properly anyway and no one can prove anything........." Lets meet up for a nice quiet drink

Don't really know why anyone's complaining. I've found all recent slots to be great fun, with colourful graphics, fun themes and dazzling gameplay.

Deposits can last for days sometimes, and I've yet to lose on any of them - I'm even thinking of going pro.

I think the future of slotting is very bright indeed :eek2:

Also you work out if one player hits a 18000x stake think of the amount of players already lost to achieve this )

Simply put games providers & casinos are getting far to greedy !

Please don't thrash that i have a small sample of spins to which i hear everytime from all casinos other than Rizk the captain who just held his hands up & agreed i was doing very poorly on one slot. i've been playing online for over 17 years ! so i know what i see & what is happening grrrrrr

i sometimes wonder why casinos patronize players with such comments , or that's the way i feel sometimes.

It's gotten so bad that on Monday night I went on Kathleen's Casino with $40 and cashed out when I got to $50 so I could say that I was up $800 instead of $790 in 2017. It's really affected my gambling. On some machines, it truly is a lottery now. You still have to press the button at the right time, though. Certainly wish I could have gotten those wins on BTG like millions of others dream to. Just have to hope.

That's why I stopped playing Viking Runecraft after the 5000x hit. It's not gonna happen again.

Don't forget them renaming these games as part of the new player- friendly guidelines.

Rigging Rhino, Immortal NoChance and NoNanza will come into effect early next month :eek::eek:

All down to the percentage contribution of the large wins, and the player's perception of how often they are likely to occur. It's easy to watch YouTube videos of massive wins and think you've got a shot at something like that. These videos skew the players' perception of the game and misrepresent what an average session is likely to be, so you end up playing for something that might occur once in a million spins, slowly cycle your money away and then the game doesn't meet expectations.
