Hi all!
I'm new here but after reading all kind of posts and threads here I just can't figure out why some people still deposit at well-known rogue casinos? Just wondering, that's all...? At least I wouldn't cast a dime to a place known to have a bad reputation. Well...I guess it's just a part of human nature?

Because they offer great bonuses and people don't know they are rogue until afterwards. As for why those who already had problems with a casino makes another deposit with them, that one beats me.

Put this in some other ways:

Why would someone be willing to wager $220 to win $100?
Why would anyone play a game where statistically the player is EXPECTED to lose?
Why would someone play slots at a casino that offers "99% paybacks" - which means that the casino essentially keeps $1 for every $100 that you wager?

Greed is one probable reason. The other is ignorance.

Freudian hit the nail on the head, because they offer ridiculously generous bonuses. Of course you'll never get your hands on the $$, but it sure looks juicy up front.

Most of the responses are correct of course! The better question is why people ask question when the answer is soooooooooooooo blindingly obvious.

Not necessary

Ergopro,
You have no reason to apologize. If you have a question ask. This is what the forum is about, learning . Hopefully to become better at what we like to do,gamble.
For the posters who tried to give you some insight, kudos. For sw2003
who added nothing significant to the thread other than to agree with everyone else and then ridicule you for asking I would totally disregard.
Never stop asking. Never stop trying to learn.

For a person with only 4 posts, we all look forward to all your future
significant contributions.

I didn't know that one could not express one's opinion on this board.
CeeGee: Since when did anyone appoint you as the Forum Police?
And what is so significant about your post? Apart giving your
opinions, supporting some and criticizing others, your post is
not that different from mine. Some people just have too high
opinion of themselves.

In any case, come on, you can't argue with me that the answer isn't obvious!
His question is just like asking why do people fall for well known scams?
They do because they are uninformed, ignorant. Unless they have a screw
in their head, no one would knowingly let themselves be a scam victim.

I'm just wondering why people do so with online casinos...they don't do so in everyday life anyway...? At least most of us don't...what's the deal about casinos...that's my point...You don't buy a car from a guy that's known to scam people...or if you do- it's your own fault...my English isn't that good so apologies...So I couldn't make a point here...I'll try again...Why casinos?? There's a zillion scams all over the Internet...so what makes gambling at online casinos and those offers from them so special???
Don't see many people complaining about being ripped off by land-based ones...(well...some have) If there was a landbased casino that wouldn't pay any winnings from their games when you hit cashout-button...would you play there? I guess not...well, if this happens online...some of us do. Why? That's my point...

Why are ponzi schemes still able to pop up and grow?
Why do people respond to e-mails saying they won the Australian power ball?

Old scams don't die off like you would assume they would if people acted logically.

I think the answer is either that people are simply stupid or else greed makes normally inteligent people stupid.

Come at it from a different point of view, it could be that there are fewer people who know which casinos are rogue than there are those who have any idea about this industry. Consider, if not for Casinomeister and precious few other web sites, how would you know which casinos are rogue? (Besides from personal experience and a few expensive lessens.) Then consider the proportion of people who have actually found these web cites to the numbers depositing at on-line casinos.

I think this is one of the prime reasons why the bad bastard casinos continue to flourish - fresh and naive blood. And imo the industry and the more professional casinos suffer as a consequence, because many of the burned newbies probably steer clear of online gambling after a bad experience at the hands of these bozos.

Once players have found good fora like this I believe they have a valuable extra level of self-protection, and have only themselves to blame if they go after good bonuses at bad casinos, but unfortunately the conventional wisdom is that a relatively small proportion of online gamblers find and join good fora.
