Winz Rated #1… But Here’s How They Paid for Votes & Why Cashback is a Myth

I know that there has been other posts but this is a forum for players. Winz is the number one ranked casino on this site and while their rep remains absent we should all avoid this casino like a plague. I say boycott it.

Their silence is demonstrating exactly what they think of us...
Yes, we have enough threads like this, so I have moved this into the general dissatisfaction one here.

Hi all,

Apologies for the recent lack of communications - we currently working to improve our response time as well as on not missing anything that requires our attention.

I am sorry to say that but I feel like the information in the starting post is a little bit misrepresented.
This is true that rakebacks are deducted in our weekly cashback formula. However, there is another component that is subject to deductions and that is Other Bonuses (aka Personal Bonuses aka Goodwill Bonuses).
In the case at hand in many months it is the Other Bonuses that contributed the most to the fact that mina888 didn't get the cashback.
Like any other casino we use certain metrics to calculate how much bonuses we can issue within a week or a month.
In other words there is a cap that one can reach by either requesting personal bonuses or by wagering and getting cashbacks and rakebacks (or of course by a reasonable mix of both).

Now to comment on the custom solution that we offered to mina888. By default a player receives rakebacks when they win, and cashbacks+rakebacks when they lose.
As I mentioned above typically mina888's claimed rakebacks are much lower than the amount of personal bonuses that we issue.
The essence of the solution that we offered was to give up small rakebacks gained in winnings scenarios in exchange for potentially larger rewards in losing scenarios and more room for personal bonuses.
Hope that makes sense.
We sent breakdowns of our calculations to mina888 and with their authorization we can send them to a Casinomeister staff member for an independent review to make sure everything was calculated correctly.

To sum it up - we do love our players and are willing to work with them on custom terms for bonuses to make them happier.
I do admit there are upsetting instances where our offers cannot match expectations but we do our best to find a reasonable solution for both parties involved.

I also wanted to clarify the AskGamblers voting - thanks to our loyal players we were nominated for the Best Casino award but the winning places were distributed by AskGamblers themselves based on their internal criteria.

Warm Regards, Winz

Appreciate the reply from Winz, but I have to push back on a few things.
  1. If there’s a cap on how much a player can receive in bonuses, then every dollar I wager past that point is unrewarded. That’s not a loyalty program — that’s a penalty program, and it isn’t disclosed clearly anywhere upfront.
  2. Their so-called ‘custom solution’ basically asked me to give up rakeback (something I already earned) in order to maybe get more if I lost. That’s not a reward, that’s just moving the goalposts.
  3. They said my lack of cashback was due to personal/goodwill bonuses. My last discretionary bonus was months ago, and even then it was negligible compared to my play. A wheel spin bonus that gave a whooping $8 win.
  4. Finally, on the AskGamblers voting — I personally raised this issue with Winz months ago while the promotion was ongoing and was told point-blank they had ‘never been told it was illegal.’ Hard to square that with their denial here. I have all the correspondence.
  5. I will go a step further and do this. I am more than happy to share a screenshot of what Winz finally provided me back in July, as my transaction history log. Every single player here can see it in black and white: how much was deposited, how much in bonuses, and nearly an entire year of $0 cashbacks.

What’s even stranger — some weeks are marked ‘cashback credited’ but the actual dollar amount is $0.

So when Winz claims they have a fair system and that my cashback was offset by bonuses, I’d encourage everyone to look at the reality: hundreds of thousands deposited, virtually nothing back
So while I appreciate the attempt at explanation, the reality is this: hundreds of thousands deposited, very minimal withdrawals, a loyalty system that feels more like a punishment than a reward, and a rep who promised to escalate my case on August 4th — only to disappear and return two weeks later on August 18th with this explanation?

If this is what #1-ranked looks like, I’d hate to see #10.

The unfortunately reality is, the Winz rep is making shit up. He mentions that the ask gamblers award for best casino was given to them due to askgamblers internal system. Well if that was the case there would be no need for Winz to buy votes with a free wheel.

He also implies that the post misrepresented the bonuses and offers given by Winz. But once again I'd like call them out on that. Everyone is being transparent with how much they deposit and get back. The harsh reality is, players are depositing loads of hard earned money and getting next to nothing back.

Their whole response has been disingenuous and the fact that it took a few weeks to write that tripe says it all.
