What is your magic number when cashing out while slotting?

I am posting this because I am truly baffled at why my playtime and cash outs have gone the way of the dodo over the last couple of years.
Baring one monster hit on DOA2 (5477x @ 0.36), I have found myself unable to sustain regular $500.00 or more cash outs on any casino.

In days of old....it was simple. I am in Canada so my choices were MG or RTG slots, and I would simply pound on Immortal Romance, TS2, Jurassic Park etc until I eventually went on some sort of a run, and was able to cash out for $500.00 or more. There was no thinking, and no effort on my part.

Fast forward several years, and the providers and games are plentiful, however not as bountiful. My go to games and providers are mostly DOA, DOA2, a small sample of NetEnt and the odd Pragmatic, Quickspin or Yggdrasil game. The days of bringing my balance up over $200-$300 to get "started" simply don't seem to be there. It's always get close to $100.00 then crash and burn no matter what I touch.

I will say whilst I had access to BTG things were much, much better.

I will say, I do only deposit $30 to $50 a session, always have, but I feel like there must be a better way to play other than going back to all my old games especially the Microgaming ones. Been there and done that for so long, it would feel like regression.

Has anyone figured out a formula with todays road map of slots and providers?

Games or providers to stick to.... bet amounts that work more than others? I typically wager between 0.20 and 0.60, and do not consider a cashout under $500.00.
I must be doing something wrong, or have the worst luck and it shall eventually turn.

Advice is appreciated!

There is no rhyme or reason or magic target, each session has a different vibe to it.

I get those players that deposit £20 and withdraw £60, I'd even have done the same at one point.

It'd be easy to have a target but that would surely kill the impetus and spontaneity/ excitement of gambling. Like the other week, I got up to £200+ off a £20 deposit, and could have stopped, but 'went with it', ending up over £800 squid! There are many other examples too.

But we won't mention the times I've built up hundreds and blown it *cough*

Cool, do you stick to the same games/providers and bet amounts religiously, or do you mix it up?
I just want to think outside the box and try different things that are working for people. The way I am going now it's same bet, same games, and sadly same results most times :(

No, I stick to the same games too. I don't play any new games anymore as I know 'my set' inside-out. I also 'expect' them to come good at some point. Plus when playing with small balances, switching games isn't really an option, so I play to the bitter end!

They tend to be fairly high-variance games though, so I know to not expect much short-term. I'd switch to medium-variance ones if I wanted to maybe bulk up my bankroll a bit.

I do empathize with your bleak run, I think we've all had those. What I used to do 'back in the day' was just play a few games in Demo mode, which I then felt happy to add to my stellar portfolio. But the problem unfortunately is that these days the games are becoming fairly brutal, and I think the days of long, contented slotting are far behind us. I'm not sure what slots you have available in Canada. Help us help you!

Think your problem is you are setting your sights to high.

It is quite hard to get up to 500 off a 30 deposit.

Personally i just play for as long as i feel like it and withdraw at different points. If i deposit £30 and had a balance of £150 and had been playing a while i would probably withdraw it. Other times i can play get a good balance and blow it all. Other times i could deposit 20 get bored and just cash out at 50.

But then again i don't get charged withdrawals at most places. Say i am at WH and get up to like 150 i would probably withdraw the hundred and keep playing. Then i would often keep withdrawing different amounts like 40 , 60 etc. as balance goes up. Until it reaches 2 minutes to 11 when i withdraw most of any balance i have to make the 11 pm withdrawal time.

Up to you how you play but if you are pissed of not getting withdrawals as you can not reach 500 then maybe if you started making smaller withdrawals you might get more pleasure.

I go for about 3 x my deposit, withdraw my initial deposit amount and then "have a play". Most of the time I crash and burn, but that's fine as I haven't lost anything in those situations.

Sometimes it works nicely and I end up withdrawing 12 x my initial deposit in various chunks.

I haven't quite got to the stage where I go crazy and really up the stakes - well, not successfully anyway!

I do not have access to BTG, Blueprint and most others under the SG Digital platform. I have limited access to IGT and Williams and some really bad SG games like Battleship at the provincial govt run casino, but they run the RTP around 91 to 93% on a lot of them so I avoid that site mostly.

I do have access to NetEnt, MG, Pragmatic, Playson, Quickspin Ygdrassil and Isoftbet via Trada, which is where I mostly play.

Any games you might suggest I add to my repertoire?

Solid advice, however setting the bar at $500 is what I was able to do with regular success on Microgaming standalone casinos for years. Just saying I don't want to go back to a formula that I know works for me, if it means giving up all the game providers I discovered the past few years. It's probably the high volatility games I tend to gravitate to.....but I feel like I am simply missing something. (sigh)

I'd scrub Quickspin and Isoftbet straight away. On MG's end I like the medium jinks of the 9-liners, Adventure Palace, Karaoke Party, Spring Break, Thunderstruck. It's hard to bust on them, they bonus quite regularly, are capable of surprises and often serve as good springboards!

Downside being that they're not exactly drenched in super high-octane slotting

I also like things like Georgie Porgie, Six Acrobats, sometimes Twisted Circus, even Immortal Romance etc. When I said I was stuck in a slotting era I wasn't lying!

But for the latest slotting pathbeaters, I wouldn't know. I don't think there's terribly many about!

Getting to 100 from a 30 or 50 deposit isn't too bad tho... If you do that 10 times you have your 500 cashout :p

All joking aside, stay away from Yggdrasil if you want to win. Perhaps give Cazino Zeppelin a couple of spins if you want to try to get a wildline there but most of their other slots you're lucky to get your money back on the free spins when they eventually come in. If the old MG's worked for you, why would you change it up? Stick with it if you like them and if you think they're more value for money than all those other providers.

BTW, there's plenty of Canadians playing BTG and Blueprint. Some casino's seem to offer them on other platforms than SG. I'm not sure which casino's do but I'm sure they can fill you in

Have stumbled on a couple offering BTG, but sadly none with my old vice White Rabbit, nor Who Wants to be a Millionaire. I was rocking those two games when they unceremoniously pulled the plug!

Usually deposit €10-30.
I set "Goals" or whatever you want to call it when i play.
Once a goal is reached, im not allowed to go below that balance again.
So say i have €60 as the goal for a €10 deposit. I get a hit and now have €75.
Then next goal is maybe €120, but will still cash out if i drop to €60.

If i get a good hit early. Sometimes i just cash out my deposit, and "waste" the rest trying out new slots, or playinig old ones i dont play much anymore.
The goal for a session is always a cashout, but i can be happy with a session that ends with a loss, if ive had some decent playtime.

Played quite a bit of thunderkick lately, and they seem to give pretty good playtime for your money.
Novomatics chew thru your balance so quickly unless you can land a good bonus, so i usually dont start of on those.

I usually put 200 in and ry for 1K (5X)
Some days I'm content with 500 as that's 2x deposits again and a bit on top for fun purchases.
If I'm really bouncing around between the 500 and 750 mark, I'll either take 750 and go or 500 and leave 250 to play later

10-20 deposits and 50 target, but I do cashout for lower at times.

If it's a good day I may up bet and target. Games always change and I always return to old ones.
MG, NetEnd, BTG and Pragmatic mostly but always with some PnG, Thunderkick and Blueprint too.

With your deposit and bets I say what others before me: Cashout on 100.
Anything above you can keep playing but cashout immediately if your balance drops more than 30.
For example top at 180, cashout 150 if you drop at 150. If you can keep that you will always have good time. :)

Depending on my bank roll and the way the session goes.
I sometimes deposit 50 Euro and can play for 2 hours without any significant wins or balance changes, if that is the case I often WD back my deposit or am even happy to WD for example 75 or 100 Euro.

If I have a hot session I normally try to achieve 500 or 1000 Euro from a 100 Euro deposit but I do set rules, for example if I am on 930 Euro and can't make the 1000, I will set a limit of 800 Euro for example, so to be sure I will not will go any lower if that makes sense. I would then WD that 800 if no more wins come in.

I have made mistakes in the past where I would be 500 Euro up in minutes due to a good bonus and then play it all away again. But this was more in my noob days of online gambling. :p

I use the 3x-7x rule, depending how much i deposit and how bad/good i been running that month.

This last months i been running so cold, that i dont even hit the 3x, thats just way the slots are sometime.

If you are winning put a bottom line that you will withdraw or withdraw that and leave the rest to play with.

@bruinsdude thanks for bringing this up. Hope you dont mind me asking a couple of questions.

Its nice to compare to everyone and see what people are working. After all, it seems as though our only mitigating factors are deposit, bet size and when to withdrawal. Of course, the games also but if all is random this is more relevant.

@spiker1977 pray tell what the 3x - 7x rule is?

Also Dionysis, Mina, Goatwack, Nikantw and Maria - you all mention different deposit amounts and aims. Id be interested to know what stake you bet at?

For anyone interested I deposit 30/40/50 a time and tend to withdraw when in profit of deposit amount plus a bit to leave in to play with. I never target a session to win a few hundred quid and see those as bonus amounts that will drop when they drop. Only really bet minimum manily with occassional 20/40p.

I hit and run 90% of the time and only grind slots that seem to keep the balance propped. Sometimes i get brave and increase bets if im in the mood. Got to be in it to win it right? I play the big hitters for a few spins only as the base games tend not to pay often but do play them just in case the biggies drop.

I play lots of different games from lost of different providers. Mixing up the oldies like Thunderstruck, IR and Jurassic, CFTBL, Jack and the B, Invisible Man and some lesser known from community members screenshots i see. Wishmaster, most of the Push games, a bit of Play n Go and some Thunderkick but not their latest few. Oh yes and Donuts and WWTBAM are my BTG exceptions.

To be honest i will try most games and do. Theres so many to choose from.
