Does Karma exist?

I've had a crap week. My dog stopped eating last weekend, deteriorated badly (severe liver failure) and had to be put to sleep on Thursday afternoon. I felt bad and still do. Man of 47 years of age crying in public. Not good. Shit loads of vets bills to be paid, but not comparable to trying to save my companion.

Come away to our static caravan for the weekend and still feeling down. Go to arcade this morning, walked in and spotted machine with credit of 44p and I put 20p in for one spin on Fishing Frenzy at 60p. One spin and feature comes in paying over £80. Play on another machine (Black Knight) which throws up 5 lots of free spins in less than 20 goes at £2 a spin. £880 withdrawn and promptly banked at local Post Office. I only went there with little over £40 in my pocket.

Went back to arcade this afternoon, £200 profit. Just logged online, £30 deposit, £350 withdrawn. Still can't feel happy, but seriously good luck after a bad week of vets bills and not working.

It's also happened in the past where I have given money to homeless people then winning at the casino soon after.

I don't believe in karma, but something out there is trying to persuade me otherwise!!!

Similar situation for me.My poor dog is in his last days suffering heart failure, spent a lot on useless scans that did
nothing, dog is insured but the excess is probably around £1000.Swapped to a new casino a couple of weeks ago and
spend a long time playing, anything to keep me occupied while watching over him, I cant leave him or go out.
Anyway, started low rolling at the new casino, stakes no higher than 60p, mostly 20p and 40p,cannot stop winning,
had £100 wins on 20p,over £500 on a 40p spin, never seen play like it, play the crappiest games and still dont lose.
£1000 up at the moment.Little consolation,I would spend 10 times that or more to fix him but there is no cure.
Like you, something weird is going off.Probably a good job I decieded to low roll, if I did my normal play I think
I would have ended up with a tilt of a lifetime

Same with my poor little chihuahua last week passed away same thing kidney problems I was crying me eyes out too, we had to take him to over night care which ended up being 12 days out of hrs care all in all payed 4k for one specialist in Birmingham and then we still have to pay vets in Stoke wait for it...... Few penny's over 9k,we had to try and save him he was our life, but my god don't the vets know it and make you pay, anyway rest in peace casper💔sadly missed 🙏

My boy was finally put to rest on 22nd Nov,right till end the I was screwed
by the vets, was never going to be a good day but they turned it into a nightmare, poor lad was vitually drowning due to fluid caused by heart failure and I knew I had end his suffering and having had dogs put to
sleep twice before I was hoping it could be done in 10 mins after arriving
at the vets but they decieded to do scans which only proved that he had heart
failure, which was pathetic as they had previously done scans showing
that and prescribed meds for it.In the end it took 90 mins before he was put to sleep, dog was terrified of vets and had to wait and suffer all that time so they could charge an extra £400.Lodged a complaint the same
day, still waiting for a response.

Feel for you mate, they used us as a cash cow at the first vets for 6days,then he went to a specialist for another 5-6 days but they helped and got him on his feet, the first vets final bill was penny's over 8k,he was at the specialists for the same amount of time which was a 4k bill, I feel the first vets held him there because they could and to get the bill tallying up, what they charged for on the 8 pages of the bill was unreal pack of 3 cotton buds 4.99as an example there was 8 pages😡sad sad bstards in it for the money and don't care about what they charge, in the end he ended with heart failure and passed at home 10 days ago, get the best insurance you can afford is my advice, we didn't have insurance and don't have our dog, but four extra weeks we got with him I'd do it again heartbroken to say the least.

Luckily I was insured but with a fair excess due to him being over 8, even if I wasnt I would have paid anything to fix him.
Wasnt about the money but their motivation, he didnt get the care he should have done.
Never going to trust any vets again.
Was hoping my dog would pass away at home, hopefully in his sleep, but he was so bad in the end I couldnt wait any longer.
Got myself a rescue Saluki type lurcher last week,2 years old with a baby brain and he could fart for England :)

Exactly money wasn't so much the problem it's when your 90% sure there fogging you off and our poor pets are the ones that suffered, if your in the uk we had to travel to Birmingham 90mile drive they were fantastic to be fare, but I don't trust vets too easily either, my boy wasn't quite 8 he had the bad kidney disease came on so quick though😢, what dog did you care for mate? We had a chihuahua he was good as gold r.i.p casper!

Other end of the scale of size eh😂 oh I know they can let rip allright 🤢🤣, good you getting a rescue respect to you for that, we've allways gone to breeders but going to wait for the pain to ease a little and may check shelters to see if there's any with young chihuahuas to honour my boy, take it easy mate and best of luck with your new pet, stock up on the airfreshner and candles if your giving him a crimbo dinner 💩😖😖🤣merry Christmas bud.

We had a black pug (also got a fawn pug, white pug and a French bulldog). Truly unique/bonkers dog and very much a Daddy's dog for cuddles and attention.

Still very much missed, but our other dogs are now coming over to be my lap dog.

I am seriously looking at changing vets. It seems the vets which are part of a group/chain are very much focussed on profit and money, whereas independent vets are more compassionate. I had to pay all vets fees in advance in case I was too upset to stay and pay after she was put to sleep. Ok, probably makes sense, but not nice to deal with at the time.

Also, with another dog, had to pay £50 for less than a 2 minute check to make sure meds were working. Didn't even step foot inside the surgery! Paid for initial consultation and prescribed some eye medication. Went back a week later at their request to make sure all ok, less than 2 minutes (including brief chat) to look at eyes (which were fine) then stung us for another £50!

There shocking mate, and I agree it's these chains of vets vile in how they do business, vets for pets, is one of those to stay clear of in my opinion, try and find a nice little vets who enjoy there job and not just there wage, the thing that's happening now is if they need over night care' there getting sent to as mentioned above "vets for pets" and the cost is allways in four figures which is disgusting I think, and do they keep our pets in longer than needed I'm 99% certain they do. Hope your dog is now well mate!

Definately steer clear of Vetsforpets, the big vet chains use them for out if hours care, probably with a massive kickback,
as soon as you walk through the door you are charged £250 before they even look at the animal.

My bill after 6 days n nights obviously was £8k,and he was still no better, had to go miles away to a specialist another 4 days 4k,passed away 5weeks later, he was my boy not just a pet, so within reason the cheque was blank, but they must of over charged, or kept him at vetsforpets longer than needed "they must of known he needed a specialist how could they not😡but the way they work was more likely keep him another four days 6k in our pocket, not get him steady then go to the specialist and actually get a plan in place, it's all about the money and not the care pisses me right off to boiling point if I'm honest 🙁

Apologies @Gavashy if your notifications showed me going through different responses to your above comment.
My tablet screen is cracked in a million places and when my dog jumps on my lap for attention he sometmes manages to put his foot on the screen, making the touch screen become more and more unresponsive in ceartin parts, causing me to press the wrong things and type even more gibberish than I otherwise normally would.

Heartbreaking to read that m8.

Congrats but no such thing as Karma.

Lost my sister years ago went to the Casino with 500 to deal with my sorrows and walked out with nothing.

The bottom pic is the rescue dog I adopted a day after my poorly dog (top pic) was put to sleep. The adopted dog is a saluki type lurcher who although
he looks skinny is in the best of health and eats like a horse, its just the way they are

Could you pass the karma this way. Really really struggling at the moment. Haven't been playing the slots as a result but today I just took a chance and dep my last 40quid.. prayer doesn't do shit so if you could send me some good karma maybe I'll actually be able to pay our rent, bills and make up for the crap Christmas because I was broke. In Ireland the gov have us a cost of living payment before Xmas . Had to put it into heating which is double the price it used to be allegedly due to the Russia/Ukrainian situation.. cost of living bonus, more like here's another thread to hold onto till it breaks.
With the fact I suffer quite severely with chronic illness I'm a low roller when I do plau cos money doesn't grow on trees and I just usually pray someone above is looking down on me and wants me to feel less worry and do my illness calms down.

For me, slots actually give me some distraction from pain.

VS legit banned me because I said one swear word in a battle and because I was honest and said I play because it distracts me from my pain. I argued my case but they just banned me anyway. There are a$$holes a plenty on VS and yet they don't get any ban. So they just don't want low rollers I guess
Wish me luck. I need it .

Also to anyone who's lost a beloved pet I can relate at the absolute and utter heartbreak. I had two female kitties. Both adoptees.
The first fought disease she was most likely born with (feline aids) until she was 8 years old and finally lost her battle. The previous vet who took over our retired vets practice, tried to charge us charged hundreds and claimed she had no feline aids virus and wanted to do all sorts of tests which ran in the hundreds.
We took her to another vet for second opinion where his test showed us yes she had a disease but it was FLV (feline leukemia) and she had been fighting it years and it had finally taken over and was affecting all her organs and she was in pain.
We made the painful decision to put her to sleep in Jan 19. Then in November 19 my other kitty who was 5 suddenly gained a hard mass on her shoulder. Vet took the lump out and said testing would be 340+ but he said it was in his opinion most likely cancer of the lymph nodes. She came home after surgery and seemed to be her old self again. Two weeks passed and one day I picked her up.and my usually cuddly easygoing bestie who constantly slept besides me and was like an overgrown kitten who I adored with all my heart, had a hard long lump under her tummy and hind leg. Lat 3years later even though in 2020 my girls finally convinced me to let them get a new kitty whom I've paid a few hundred in vet bills for so far. The obvious ones -vaccines, neutering,.parasite treatment -and then when he was bitten by another cat so deep it looked like he'd ben shot with a pellet gun he needed treatment that cost 400eur but these animals are FAMILY and if it was your kid you'd do anything for them. I feel like that about my kitties

MILO(ginger), SCRAPPY (grey tabby) she was a cantankerous very independent kitty but our first adopted cat loved to bits and last two are SCOUT (calico tabby) my furry bestie, such a loving kitty, rarely left my side especially when I would be in severe pain in bed. Her death really hit me very hard after Scrappys death 11 mths previous)
