I take really good care of who I gamble with and who I do business with...

I also take care of my personal inbox and also of the reliable functioning of my computer...

I received an email from Casino King today about some bonus or promotion. For me is weird .. I have never dealt with them so, I am 100% curious of how did they contacted me.

If you could help me.. all I know is that they are a Playtech Casino...

Does somebody know who are they affiliated with?

Any comments on these guys?

Thanks...

I get numerous casino spam emails. I know these are related to casino signups because I use a different email address for my casino mail than I do my personal mail.

Therefore it must be the case that one or more casino groups is either selling your email address, or else their employees are stealing your email address. I think it must be the latter given that no casino would want to sell your address to a rival casino (unless they didn't want your business, I suppose)

I have heard strong evidence that Golden Palace is a particular culprit, tho I have no proof myself. I was told this by a friend who uses a different email address for every single casino he uses (i.e. he would sign up to Golden Palace and give an address of goldenpalace@hisdomain.com)

Don't hold me to this because it's been a while since I've double-checked the owners and such:

Casino King
50stars
Casino Las Vegas
Magic Box
Sky Kings
Swiss Casino

All of these fall under what I have listed as "Intercontinental" for owners. Again, it may be out-dated, but I don't think so.

Yup  I think also there's a new one in the offing, Sierra Star, though I don't know jack about it yet.

Hi,
Since I like Playtech BJ I've tried Casino King and made three or four deposits in the 50-100 range.

I managed to cash-out twice (smoothly) , never more than 300 if I recall correctly.
Problem is, I receive DAILY offers for sticky non-cashable 25,50,100% deposit bonuses - and this e-mail spamming is the main reason why I stopped playing with them [too lazy to unsubscribe or cancel my account :) ].

Occasionally they leave $5-$10 in my account.

Hope this helps.

:)

I didn't like that email

I would like to know how they got my email or from which casino data base they stole this info.

I don't mind advertisement, however it was weird it appeared in my inbox... It should have gone to the junk mail. This tells me that their email server must be related to a casino I allow emails from...

Dunno, I have spoken well of Casino King in the past and I didn't liked them contacting me out of nowhere.

They sent me an email with the casinos they are affiliated with, I have never opened an account or contacted them. I could be paranoid, but they might have bought some lists or don't know what. I just didn't like it.

For what it's worth, I keep getting spam in the mail with offers for player addresses.

Apparently there are lots and lots of data bases for sale to anyone and everyone.

Not sure if your mail came from the casino itself or a rogue affiliate?

I imagine it has to be casino employees selling these off, many of them live on very low wages.

Hi Everyone,

My name is Graham, and I am representative of IOG Casinos. Our casino group consists of 50 Stars Casino, Casino King, Casino Las Vegas, Magic Box Casino, Swiss Casino, Fairpoker, and Miss Bingo. We send emails to players who no longer game with us in the hopes that a new offer might encourage them to play at our casino again. Our players are very important to us! If you aren't interested in receiving emails from us please just reply to the email in question and write "REMOVE" in the subject line. If you have any questions about an offer you have received please contact our live chat support in the casino or write to at graham@iogltd.com, and I will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.

Have a great day!

Graham

I send my request

Thanks for your post Graham..

I hope I dont get any more emails from your casino group.

I appreciate you posting here.

Never the less, I dont know how you got a hold of me since I have never dealt with any of those casinos.

If you can find the source, I would appreciate it in order to stop doing business with them or stop contacting them

I really dont like companies sharing my info with others. The weird thing was that Casino Kings email reached my inbox. If it had been my junk mail I wouldnt have complained.

Since it was sent to my inbox, it tells me one of your spamming servers is linked to a company I allow to contact my inbox.

I am no internet professional, however it was weird to me.

Thanks for your post, I havent received any other emails from you guys.

Hi,

If you do receive any emails again please contact me, and I will personally handle it. Of course, if you find an offer you like then you are always welcome to join us at the tables! :)

Hi all,

Therefore it must be the case that one or more casino groups is either selling your email address, or else their employees are stealing your email address. I think it must be the latter given that no casino would want to sell your address to a rival casino (unless they didn't want your business, I suppose)
absolutely correct in my opinion.

Since I have websites I have the luxury of being able to create email addresses at whim (using an all-included option on a domain so I can for instance if my domain is CMsagoodguy.com then I could create 1@ or casinoX@ ... you get the idea), and as such whenever I join a casino I ... most times will create a new address exclusively for that casino.

now having explained that: I can say that your email address is probably going to get sold, traded or stolen when you play at the majority of RTG casinos ... some of the playtechs (they seem to keep hitting new lows which I previously hadn't thought possible so I don't look for things to get better in this area either) ... and it has happened to at least one MGS group of casinos which claim (and I've no reason to doubt them) that their list was stolen by an employee with an axe to grind.

Whatever the case; they were correct in that the security of the addresses had been compromised because that was some years ago and I still get spam to addresses which start out xxxxxxcasino@ and the casino sending the spam is not in many instances even the same software as the original casino - let alone the actual casino's name in the email address. ( casino's name is left unsaid out of respect for the fact that nobody should get extra bad publicity because they were a victim of theft - it can happen to anybody even when they have great security because at some point you've got to let the info be available to eyes other than your own and as such ... s#it happens.

Can't say about the playtechs because frankly I haven't played a ton of them. BlackWidow was my first experience with them and I think to any seasoned player that's enough said for my reasons for not having played them much further.

But the RTGs ... I think definitely either trade or sell the lists between themselves or else have some of the worst quantities of disgruntled former employees stealing their email lists of all the online software-grouped casinos put together.

Well,

Is the first time I get spammed by an online casino to my personal inbox.

Learing from which source they got it will be nice, however I am sure they will deviate the subject with some argument, so its not worth trying to find out.

However I will be checking what reaches my inbox and making sure to monitor from which companies I have not ever made business with are getting my info.

I am pretty sure that the casino from which Casino King got my address is not happy about it.

Not a good technique to make a reliable business in my opinion.
