Wanna hear something funny? I'm suddenly getting Viagra and "you ejaculate to quickly" spam for an email address I used to sign up at Virtual Casino two years ago.

It was a test sign up (I do this occasionally to test the waters :D). And this is an indicator that either a) their database was compromised, or b) their database was sold to spammers. Take your pick.

If you don't mind my asking, how many characters long is the name part of this particular "name[at]domain.tld" email address?

The reason I ask is, I started receiving viagra/"not very good erecxction?" emails at my work email address, which I have never ever ever ever ever given out to anybody for anything, under any circumstances, ever. So I'm just curious if it's one of those situations where the brute-force spambot happened to pick the right combination of letters/numbers/symbols for this particular email address.

I am certainly NOT defending the Virtual group since they are oh so deep in the rogue pit, from what I understand.

I'm just saying because I had started receiving this type of spam at my "regular" email address, and then sent some nastygrams to the casinos I thought they had originated from... only to start receiving the same emails at my "unpublished" work address, at which point I realized that my initial suspicion as to the source of the spam was wrong.
