New Slot Announcement Vikings by Netent

If greenlit back in Feb it'll have been a 9-month cycle for it's touted November release. The game may have been finished a couple of months earlier with the remainder for testing and marketing purposes

I'd imagine this does bear some recently-incorporated gameplay tweaks from both player feedback and market trends, so while the base game may be a little too familiar Netent Variance, I think the bulk of the project was concentrated on the free spin pays. 50,000 ways to win type thing. Thank God it didn't go down the Laser Fruit route :D

I don't say this often but the game looks really impressive. This is one Netent game I will play regularly along DOA.

Here some more screens.

The eagle flying in on big wins is just stunning.

Oh yeah! Netent Slots are reviewed at Casinomeister - to include their associated casinos! Woo woo!
Complain when they don't do it. Complain when they do.

Ehm I don't like Megaways so doesn't matter which provider gets it. I never complained about lack of Megaways slots. :)
I just see a trend going on now where several slots providers are buying into this Megaways madness.

For me 243 liners were about the max, But I prefer actually the good old 5,9,10,15,25 win line slots. ;)

EDIT: That said, this slot looks kinda cool so I will probably give it a good whirl anyway.

Wow, remember when 243 was a thing and designers cloned that into oblivion

Strangely enough, all the 4,096-ways (and higher) games seemed pretty boring as a result. Yet BTG pretty much tool that 'overkill' snoozefest system and ramped it up, helped in no small part by each spin's determining a different set of Megaways to keep it relevant

Yet who's to say in five years whether Megaways will go down the '243' recycle bin path :D

So a 32x win and a 98.5x feature.

In that feature was a 34.2x "MEGA WIN". Jesus H Christ.

While the game looks amazing. I think it's much of the same again sadly.

Nothing to get excited about as usual, and I doubt I'll be eating my own words.

They should really go with my loading screen.

Well, take Novo for example.

A very high frequency of 100, 200 & 300x+ features. It's uncommon to have a feature actually pay less than 100x on the majority of thier more popular slots.

Thier slots are quiet volatile and can drain your balance quiet fast and the bonus can be hard to trigger sometimes.

Usually though you can trigger the feature inside 300 spins.

Feel free to look at SlotTracker for Novo and tell me what the feature averages are...

I can guarantee you it's not as frequent as you think.
That said they do have a lot more money in the feature than most providers

You could at least spell shitter right ;)

On 20 quid spins the wins look impressive but they are just 30x-50x and a more rare 100x.
On my stakes that would give me a huuuuge mega win of 30 Euro for example. :p

Here's a better one :) .... 15 symbols would pay 243x bet.

The slot seems to have the largest part of the RTP evenly distributed between the three game features - the Hot Spot feature, the random Shield Wall and the Raid Spins - with the latter having maybe 1 - 2 % extra attributed to cater for the really big wins. The base game has just a small portion of the RTP.

Nothing is perfect, but this slot is at least something more exciting than BerryBurst, Double Stacks and the other low variance drivel we have seen from Netent lately.

This is a return to form if anything. People forget this is the reason why punters would opt for Netent, if of the 'lowrolling' variety :p:oops:

You WANT the middling wins to keep the balance ticking along, with a few belters thrown in between. Trolls (yes, there it is again), Lucky Angler, Wild Turkey etc all share these traits. I wouldn't call this game NE Variance, rather 'progress' :D

Mate I play the games often enough to form my own confirmation bias

I also asked which you'd prefer, I'm genuinely curious.

Which what? Novo game?

That must have taken a liftime to hit, I assume you've been on all day trying to hit that?

I commend your patience Harry

The last two pics were within 300 spins on quickspin, so no, it didn't take that long. :D

Had a few 500+ hits in the last days while doing the reviews, just didn't take a screenshot. Taking that in account, I play a similar amount of time on all new Netent slots and I didn't get something even remotely close on BerryBurst, Double Stacks, Jumanji, Mirror Mirror etc to what I had on Vikings.

Which what? Novo game?

The game mechanics behind NotEnt or the game mechanics behind Novo.

Essentially which provider would you personally prefer to play.

Would you prefer NotEnts games where the slots play in a volatile manner (Despite not meant to be a volatile provider) and have the majority of slot sessions give you a bonus after 300+ spins and pay you 30x. Or would you rather Novo's games where they are also volatile giving you a bonus after 300 spins that on averge your bonus feature pays 100x+

Because I seriously can not wrap my head around how Notent can be seriously regarded as a decent provider never mind a good one.

Glad to hear all of that. Sadly I am going to have to play this at least once as I'm in love with Lagertha :D

To the death it is then!

Unfortunately for you I've already consulted with The Seer, he says it doesn't end well for you :axeman2:
Ha, he's already foretold a great victory in combat for the sun goddess.

So I kissed his hand and departed!

At least I think it was his hand
