Videoslots warning for longer term users

I deposited with my new card and uploaded the front and back. Made a withdrawal afterwards and all went without a glitch

I didn't experience the problems that the OP did

I think it might be possible the OP had not sent documentation for the card in previously. If he did not win, it would not have been asked for.

Tonight I couldn't deposit with my card, in fact the only CC I've used at Videoslots. They have no records of any attempts, nor any card on file for me.

Support told me they would send an email as they think tech is probably working on something.

Just had a reply from the bank saying that for fraud purposes they won't give me my old card details!

I did however find old statements showing the deposits (and a few huge ones to another site!:eek2:)

Hopefully they'll work

More bullshit from the bank. Anti fraud measures mean making sure you are who you say you are before releasing details of your account. This would not just be related to casinos, but someone might have drawn the short straw and be under one of those random tax audits from HMRC, and need EVERYTHING they can get their hands on covering the past 6 years, including old card and bank statements. If you told HMRC the bank won't play ball, they would tell you it's no excuse because you have a statutory right to this information, and the bank has a statutory duty to provide it provided the request is made properly as an SAR, which a company holding your data CANNOT refuse.

You don't need anything more than what is shown on your card statement, and if you banked online you would be able to view and download what the bank is saying you can't have "because of the fraud risk". The banks certainly pass on any continuous payment authority charges from an old card to your new one, yet claim you can't have the details of the card or these charges.

PS they will also pass on any casino withdrawals that casinos insist on crediting back to the old card, it just takes a little longer. If they genuinely can't do this, they cannot keep the money, it would have to be bounced back to the casino at which point you can tell the CS "Told you so!"

As much as I agree with everything you have said, you shouldn't have to do a SAR, which firstly costs, and secondly they have 40 days to reply to, just to withdraw from a casino, ESPECIALLY if the casino can look at the old card details and see the exp date has passed. Not all casinos require this so they don't have HAVE to, they choose to, and if they do the information should be presented to the customer on the deposit screen or block accounts after x days if KYC hasn't been passed, Dunder Casino do this, and as much as it was annoying when they blocked my account, at least it means I won't have any problems in the future and pushes you to do it.

I've had an ongoing issue with this for nearly a year. An old card that I can't verify means my balance can't be withdrawn. I've sent bank statements showing the card but still no dice. Never had an issue like this in all the years I've been playing online casinos.

It's not much but I have £260 in there I'd really like to withdraw but they are making it impossible! :(

It is crazy! Like others have suggested, I verify straight away these days to avoid these issues. I'm verified for my current debit card, skrill, address and identity at videoslots... surely that's enough to get past this old debit card issue.

I've messaged Dan to see if he can help with this.

I had a similar problem at Betat last year, when my bank unexpectedly issued a new debit card.

The only difference between the old card an the new card was the last 2 digits of the long number, and the expiry date had changed.

Both cards had the same name on, the same sort code and the same bank account number.

But it took quite a bit of persuasion to get them to accept it.

Yes, same thing happened to me at Betat in 2015 too. They just deleted the old card after a few messages.

Hi lordblucan,

I have replied to your PM with a way to solve this. Please feel free to reply to that PM if you have any other questions.

Br,

Daniel

I started a thread a short time ago when I was having exactly the same problem with a different accredited casino and had accumulated winnings from a freespins promo that had no associated deposit. They wanted a copy of not only my current debit card but also the previously expired one.Luckily I had made a deposit and withdrawal on the previous card and when I pointed out that I must have sent them a copy for them to authorise the withdrawal, they were happy.I still do not understand the relevance of having to supply a copy of a card you are no longer using or possess.
