In 10 years you don't think anyone has ever complained? About 6 or 7 years ago we went through a period where we complained so much we got accused of topping up our wages via the battle weekends and the mod on here basically said what they thought, after that they got very strict and stopped reacting to our constant complaining.

Before that when things went wrong at some points we even got them to put three games on some battle weekends but someone at VS must have had a word and said enough is enough Casinomeister doesn't dictate our policies and ever since they have stuck to their guns even when they reduced all the bi hourly free battles to one a day and stopped Thursday and Friday battles and reduced battle weekend, they have strict margins now and I doubt trying to force people to use their spins is high on their list of things to do.

It was around the time they got fined £1m by the regulator and they stopped battle weekend for two months to save money.

There's no question that Terror Tales game is not fun but actually it's doing better for me than Congo Cash. It seems like if you don't get some sort of bonus/feature in your 25 spins you have no chance of getting into the top 10 and so far I'm striking out a lot. I have of course hit 2 150x+ wins and I know my 6 free spins from that will give me 10p if I'm lucky but oh well haha

This is going to be a long post so forgive me.

Was my first time on this end of the month thing and I love keeping track of everything so of course I did that here too.

I ended up entering Buffalo 46 times and winning 62 spins, Precious Monkeys 47 times 81 spins, Lucky Mcgee 55 times 92 spins, Great Rhino 51 times 80 spins, Twisted Toys 47 times 76 spins and Congo Cash 49 times for 78 spins. I had another laptop next to me for the 9 hours each day so I probably close to max entered every event I could while just working/watching things on my main screen. Maybe I could have got 1 more of each but the limit was unfortunately having to wait the full 12 minutes frequently.

That put me at a grand total of 469 spins won worth £68.90. Given 1 in 3 people get spins each time I came out a little above average on every slot.
Noticeable mentions were Buffalo and Lucky Mcgee both giving me 0 point rounds.
Buffalo only giving 1 bonus on the 44th entry of the day (though it hit 250x). Lucky Mcgee had a best of 300x bonus, great Rhino 250x, Congo Cash 220x and Twisted Toys popped off for 460x.
Many rounds lasted the full 12 minutes but a Rhino (30 people no less) was in and out in just 3 minutes.

I was quite pleased with the quantity and value of spins though I already stay up until very late normally anyway and work from home at my computer on the weekend. Signing up and running auto spins at the same time didn't add much additional effort. If I was taking time out to specifically sit all day and do it then suddenly it becomes a lot less appealing to do all weekend long.

Anyway ultimately what matters is what I got out of the spins so -
I never played Congo Cash before and as soon as I tried it I realised 1) it sucks 2) if you don't bonus your RTP will be godawful. I knew these would be very hit and miss and they missed, hard. No bonus and RTP from 78 spins was 30.45%.
Twisted Toys again I find with these Raw games it's bonus or bust. As it happens I did get a 63x bonus leaving me with a 126.18% rtp from 76 spins.
Lucky Mcgee another bonus or bust game and this was a HUGE flop. 24.02% RTP from 92 spins is just embarrassing.
Great Rhino did so well for me during the battles but was a let down in free spins. Exactly 50% from 80 spins.
Precious Monkeys had a surprise wild collector with 20x multi base game leaving me with 91.60% rtp from 81 spins. Lucky it did or the rtp would have been 15.06% lol.
Finally Buffalo. Fairly lackluster showing at 79.92% rtp. Did get a 25x base game towards the end or I'd have been at closer to 40% rtp.

Final thoughts. Before the weekend I assumed 5 entries an hour at worst for 27 hours for 2 slots would give me 270 total entries. 1/3 should be free spins giving me 90 'wins'. If you're equally likely to get any number of 2-6 spins then an average of 4 make sense so I figured 360 spins, half 10p half 20p worth £54. By these numbers my actual figures way overperformed though I did enter 25 additional events which was not luck.
From £68.90 in spins I came away with £41.88 in actual cash giving an rtp of 60.78% which is quite disappointing for so many spins. Only 1 bonus from all 4 games certainly didn't help.
Congo Cash was trash, I'm never touching that again. I continue to dislike the Raw games because they're so volatile. The bonuses can absolutely pop off but the base gameplay is painful. Lucky Mcgee and Precious Monkeys having sonic spins was a godsend. Having to actually 'turbo' spin Twisted Toys sucked.

So the question is would I be willing to lose enough to earn 1,000exp to do it again next month. That I'm not so sure. It would depend what the games were. If anyone has read this far and has entered previous months. Is it always 1 raw + 1 prag game or does it change month by month?

The 10p battles tend to finish more quickly so it's probably more like a 60/40 split in favour of the 10p spins.

Is it always 1 raw + 1 prag game or does it change month by month?

It's usually this because most other providers aren't available in all the countries that players are from, so it wouldn't be fair to have games that won't load up for some players because their location is excluded.

Personally I think the Battle Weekend is still good fun if you want to win a few free spins in the evening while watching MOTD or whatever. It's not difficult to achieve 1000XP in a month through casual play and be able to participate. Playing the battles means you can have a break from spending real money, yet still be able to win a few prizes.

Those 'grinders' with an accountant's mindset who want to work out the expected value from playing the full 27 hours are going to find that there's no long-term profit to be made from the Battle Weekend - otherwise everyone would be doing it and you'd get people opening accounts all around the world so they can extract small profit and drain the promotion budget of the site.

I don't think you'd want to deliberately achieve 1000XP in a month for the sole purpose of playing in the Battle Weekend. Qualifying for it is an incidental by-product of playing on the site regularly over the preceding few weeks, and participating in it should be on a more casual 'something-for-nothing' basis, rather than stressing over whether people will play all their spins in 12 minutes to enable you to sweat one more entry before the clock strikes 2am, or moaning about the selection of games that are being used.

Regardless, it's a pretty unique promotion and although it's not as good as it used to be it's still enjoyable to take part if you treat it for what it is - cheap fun in the evening - and don't take it too seriously.

You make a lot of good points and you are correct. I can't help myself with the numbers however, I just enjoy doing it so I had to lol. If I were to enter in the future I wouldn't track it all again I just wanted to see as it was my first experience with it.

We'll see how the experience goes. Is there any way to know when your month is about to expire? Or for that matter how much experience you still need to get to 1,000 without manually tracking it?

And how about how much time in advance is needed to enter? So if an event took place on the 29th and I had 0 experience then earned all 1000 on the same day would I instantly be allowed to enter or is there some sort of lag between it?
