and then i went to chat services and they said there has been a double withdrawal issue on my account...security looking into it...which i don't even know what this means....cuz i how can i withdraw funds twice....unless i won twice....

and here is the kicker.....i get an email an hour later asking for a photo id with me next to it...and my income statement for the last 3-6 months to see where my source of funds???

....i do not have any withdrawals pending...i haven't had a large cashout since my jackpot win last month of 3k...

Well hopefully Dan will be on top of this when he returns in the AM.

All I can say is this does sound that it is a huge error on VS side. Hopefully they will rectify it soon.

Deleting Favorites

Before I forget. Some already know but there has been quite a few out in chat that don't. Deleting your saved favorites.
Go to History on Google and delete everything from the past week, and when you log back into VS all your saved favorites will be gone. :)

I've no idea how a double withdrawal request could actually happen - or if it had, then when picked up the other end, I'd assume one would just be cancelled. As for the rest - with a big withdrawal pending, I'd probably stretch to the ID part - albeit overkill - just to receive my (last!) withdrawal; But providing proof of income (especially with no WD pending) is something I wouldn't do. This must be a mistake - but I hate mistakes... :what::rolleyes:

I have stopped depositing here. I have cashed out my cashback and rake winnings and freeroll winnings because this casino is starting to wade into waters I do not like at all. I think ive deposited $20 in the past few weeks which is quite different from my usual 1k in this time period.

you mean people on twitch have had double withdrawal issues(and what does this even mean???)...or these outrageous demands of id and proof of income....i deposit only at videoslots...venturing out to maybe trada, guts and rizk...but basically VS gets all my money...and begininng to think this was a mistake...

i know i did nothing wrong...so they can investigate and make demands...i have been very loyal...even when i lose deposit after deposit....

Are you able to get into your profile and look at your withdrawls? E-mail them back and ask them to send you a screenshot of what they are accusing you of. when i contacted the CS they said it was a double withdrawal issue...when pressed further........and i copied pasted the following to dan in a pm....and dan said i would be hearing from them in an email and i did...they asked me for all of the above and will probably ask for a dna sample soon....

I'm seeing more and more of the selfie & proof of income combo being rolled out in recent weeks, and it's obviously become the new trend that many casinos now like to follow.

It's not up for debate, any already- verified player should not be humiliated in that manner, although one could say "fair enough" when it comes to first-time ID checks and verification.

Casinos need to cut it out, it's deeply intrusive and totally unnecessary....and just as likely to deter any long-standing player from playing there again.

I'm verified at several joints, the moment they ask me for these checks it'll probably be met with something that rhymes with "bet plucked" :mad:

I was told the selfie request was a member of staff who didn't know what he was doing when I was asked for one, even though 3 different staff members asked for it. I was also told it was sent off to a different company as it wasn't actually videoslots who requested it, so bear that in mind if you are going to send it. Needless to say, I didn't.

As for the proof of source of funds, I've said it before, but ANY casino asking me for that, will get the reply, close my account. In my case it's because there isn't a chance in hell I'm showing a casino my affiliate earnings from elsewhere, alongside the fact that I wouldn't show them it anyway.

Ok, Now it's making sense. CR processes small payments. Who ever did your withdrawl did it twice and now they have to explain the error when they get audited. If they want to make you stay as a customer, they can simply delete and make note as an error. If you want to keep your withdrawl see if a simple revenue canada will suffice, with your sin blacked out? Also 3-6 months income proof? That doesnt even make sense number wise for bookkeeping purposes. Its either the last 3 or 6 months. One or the other!

I didnt see that exact instance but I saw a couple people in a channel talking about something along the same line. VS asking them to stand beside id and proof of income. They said they refused and closed their accounts.

The problem for canadians is this is one of the few places that offer BTG. Or so I thought. I found many caddell casinos that offer us btg and many blueprints that we dont see anywhere else. So I switched my game play to there. The reward system is nowhere close to videoslots but it doesnt matter to me. You get absolutely nothing from the battles anyways Only thing that helped was the cashback. Meh, I just take deposit bonuses sometimes instead. But then again they lack a couple other providers and games too so we are painted into a corner sometimes.

What I do now if I want a session. I deposit on caddell and then deposit on slotsmillion. Then I can play all the providers I want. This wont be convenient to most but I am also not desperate enough to put up with stupid ridiculous requests that is absolutely none of their business.

And btw your comment about Dan, it has a rating above 9 because of him. Ive said it before, without him give them a much much lower rating. Im sure he will sort this for you considering he knows you pretty well from here.

Yeah. I've been slowly going back over to Golden Riviera. Game time lasts alot longer of there! I can talk to my VIP host by just picking up the phone. Everything is really relaxed. I like Dan alot, and firmly believe he makes VS,. I will still play there but am spreading my wings.

The problem is there has been back and forth already. Between staff, the player, departments plus the rep here. So it is very obvious there has been discussions and an investigation of some sort. So these requests were not made off the cusp. They were thought out and discussed.

Videoslots may backpedal now that they are receiving heat for it but I assure this has been looked into already. They have also been guilty of ridiculous demands previous. See for reference the prepaid cards situation. They demanded players sign a hand written affidavit in order to be able to cashout. If they didnt, their money would sit in their account until they agreed to these terms.

Ah, I was unaware of any previous discussion regarding this. That wasn't mentioned in the post I read, I took that at face value. I did think there must be more to it...

But as you say, I've seen others complaining about ridiculous requests too, so perhaps I jumped the gun here... ;)
 
Isn't this exactly what another casino did to another player? I am sure I read it here on the forum?

And I also believe that I read that due to European regulations there is going to be enhanced KYC checks on players that includes source of income once a certain threshold is achieved? Again, I read it here on the forum though nobody knows what that threshold exactly is. If my memory serves me right, it was Mr Wild (who appears to be an employee of VS) who mentioned this.

Perhaps this is how things are going to be in the future for all casinos licensed in Europe.

As to the security department of VS, all I know is that they are strict. Very strict. They have to be I guess but once they have made up their mind, you had it.

Just to be clear, this is NOT a self exclusion request, I do NOT have any problems with gambling, this is a simple account closure request, nothing more.

I have just gone through my sent emails and this was the the first line in one of the emails I sent

"I want the account closing permanently NOT self excluding"

Then I get an email back saying I have been self excluded for 6 months.

When I then kicked off about it, thier reply back was that self exclusion means the same as closing.
Obviously that wound me up even more.
Thats why I then got in touch with the UKGC, I didnt name the casino but just wanted some advice.
I then forwarded the email to the Rep and got the runaround for a few weeks and then I couldnt be arsed anymore

My problem got sorted earlier today but I’ve had no time to post. Dan and videoslots were absolutely stellar in handling this.

It seems they paid a small withdrawal twice. An error on their part. In a gesture of good will and because i am a loyal customer they will not make me pay it back.

As for photo Id and financial disclosure. This will sadly become the standard for most casinos cuz of the rules imposed on them. However Videoslots has a non invasive document to accomadate it’s customers. I was very comfortable with filling it out and signing it.

All in all, it was taken care of swiftly and professionally. Again dan was stellar in dealing with this.

Casinos don't have to do this on every customer, only on those they decide are a high risk of 'being a criminal' customer ;), as what the guidance says is

Where a customer is assessed as presenting higher risk, additional information in respect
of that customer should be collected. This will help the casino operator judge whether the
higher risk that the customer is perceived to present is likely to materialise, and provide
grounds for proportionate and recorded decisions. Such additional information should
include an understanding of where the customer’s funds and wealth have come from.

I'm glad Dan sorted it for you - however had you not been a forum member then I have to question whether you'd have resolved it as quickly...? You certainly didn't think they were swift and professional initially..? All hail CM.. :D

I also wonder why them mistakenly paying two withdrawals would lead to account suspension and requests for extra photo ID/financial income info..??

This is not me on a VS slaying mission - this is me purely ranting about the increasingly shocking way casinos seem to be treating their customers!

I'm sure it may 'become' the standard to request extra photo ID etc, but it currently isn't - so what are their justifications for requesting both - assuming, as has been stated, it was an error on their part..?

I am genuinely pleased you feel happy with the resolution, however (and this is nothing personal!!!) I do wonder how many people are being kept happy by swift backtracks on decisions/verification requests etc only after they've actually taken the time and effort to question the legalities or reasoning behind them?

A backtrack, quick apology; here's your money/keep your money, plus the added extra of a quick ego rub e.g. what a valued customer you are etc - now have a bonus/free spins and shush... seems to be becoming the new norm!

That is exactly what happened to me. Near face id requested, to be sent to a third party company. 3 different CS staff all confirmed this was correct, and all 3 refused to tell me which company they were passing them onto.

It was only after shouting on here about it, Dan told me it was a mistake, and should not have been asked for. My point back then was, THREE members of staff asked for something Videoslots never apparently do, so all three, randomly, asked for something that should never have been asked for. Yet here we are again, a year later, them asking for the same stuff again.

I just can't stand the thought of myself or others spending their hard earned money and then having to deal with underhandedness or 'mistakes'. Yes mistakes happen - although casinos should be automated and triple checking anything highlighted - but it's becoming increasingly apparent that their (meaning many casinos') support staff and finance departments are being trained in how to either
avert genuine issues that might cost them money or find a way to get out of paying up...

I worked in Medical Insurance for 10 years - sadly I know the lengths some companies will go to to save money... :(

We wouldnt expect any less from Dan. Again, too bad for the people not part of this forum where they have access to him.

If this procedure goes into place and becomes the norm, its the end of online gambling for me. I mean, ive almost already completely quit because the slots being pumped out are a disaster but with this it wouldnt even be a question.

I still do not agree with videoslots requiring more signed documents invasive or not. I have not seen any other reputable casino ask for any of this ever (unless clear fraud is seriously suspected). I have spoken to a few today and all 3 told me they have absolutely zero plans or intentions in place.

I have had it on here and I have seen it happen to others, it's like a pack of wolves descending on it's prey sometimes. People forget we all have our own opinion and if they don't agree, there is no reason to attack the person, but why not just post your own opinion without making it personal.
