Can I ask, and I understand if its sensitive info or something, but if the games are running from microgaming servers, or netent, or whoever, then why would your servers (old or new) affect the gameplay? I get why the main site was laggy or offline completely, but the games were running really bad, if they aren't running from your server how can they be affected?
Like, I was playing a freeroll before the site crashed, got freespins. Obviously the game pulls data from account management and other areas from your servers before and after a spin, but once the game actually starts and its just data from the game provider, why does it still run slow?

I think that is a great question and this is how it works when you place a bet on a casino.

First, you place your bet that makes the casino's server to send a request to the game provider server that is hosting the game and also giving the result. The game provides server will then send the result back to us, and that is when you see how much you won. If there would be any DNS issues or latency in the calls, it will make the games lag.

I can't go into details because I am not the technical person so but I hope it helped a bit.

Yes I thought that was the case, but surely the bit in the middle, ie the actual gameplay shouldn't be affected.

So all the data is sent/received during 10 free spins bonus round, nothing would being sent to your server, so surely the spins should run fine, but they stutter like made, get time outs etc.

Still getting tons of errors here

extend all battles by a day imo

I think that would be fair for all the people that qualify. This is not the only interuption in past couple of weeks.

If the system logistics prevent it, give your CSRs codes to give to players that complain that give an extra day of free battles.
 
Like I said its very rare we get trouble playing here, Unlike most sites its error on a daily basis,

Also who else sends out gifts? Just had parcel man come and look what arrived :) Hopefully there system have not gone haywire and sending load of things out to players :D

It took you an hour to get it running on the new servers, why not just put it live on the old ones again till you get the problems ironed out? When stuff like this happens you can almost guarantee it will fall over again once its back up so makes sense to have both servers active, and launch the new one as a beta while you load test etc.

Were they new servers or an upgrade of the old ones? I think it was an upgrade but stand corrected.
 
Dang it, no good server "upgrade" that was haha, just having some fun at the casinos expense, poor them they lose some income heh, sitll the best casino out there anyway!:lolup:
 
Very bad, couldnt play any freeroll today because of this. Why don't they do this at night instead of the whole day?

Hope they compensate with some extra freerolls now.... otherwise will be depositing at Betsafe....

You will find it was an unplanned outage. I am sure the last thing they wanted is 12 hours without getting revenue in.

Besides, your night is somebody else's day, so rather a little selfish.
 
Better to get it right before getting your customers complaining about lag, disconnections and making them spin at higher bets than they planned because of it ( why you would that I don't know - there is always tomorrow :confused: )

I don't see why they don't switch back to the old servers as they said they would rather than lose all the income they have.

It all boils down to the IT dept. doing this.. Maybe they need to find another IT dept don;t you think?
Heads are nearly rolling over there over this I am sure.
Fly me out there and I will upgrade this lol..

I tell you one thing for sure, If the servers was on the blink b4 than they certainly going to take some strain when sites up and going, All the cash backs etc and people shacking and sweating for a spin,

Overload lol, I would advise to open up to one Country, than when going ok and calmed down open up another

By the way has any body asked them to clear there cache and cookies :eek2: Thats defiantly the problem :)

Thats not how it read to me, but regardless, its what Dan said they would do, so presumably it is possible.

I'm struggling to think of a problem that couldn't be sorted quicker than this, or backups to be used to get the site back up. If its faulty hardware then replace it or (if it is the same server) put the old bits back. If its a software conflict, same applies. Then test in a virtual environment or box before making live again.

It will be 2,and then 4 and then they will say 8 because they are having problems with the upgrade.
I have done my share of system updates and upgrades and if the estemated time isnt kept all hell brakes loose.
Its better to exaggerate the estimated time then have to prostpone it.


Wonder what a day of downtime will cost the casino?
