LOL! Hi all, not posted for a while but thought I'd give you all a quick heads up. I registered with "Vernons" a short time ago and before depositing, I read all the disgraceful reviews here vis a vis their ridiculous (and apparently quite commonplace) insistence on withdrawers providing "notary proof of ID" before coughing up - ie you have to go to a solicitor and get him to vouch for you, which would cost up to about £50!

I put "vernons" in inverted commas the size of goalposts because they would like to get you to believe that they are in some way the same Vernons who ran Vernons pools in the UK for several decades ..... yet they are licensed in Malta and have their main office in the Phillipines/Malaysia (I forget which!) - now if that doesn't trigger alarm bells I don't know what will!

Anyway, I'm sure most of you have read of their epic failure on this website's "baptism by fire" process ... but I digress!

So, against my better judgement, and partly through morbid curiosity I suppose, I made a deposit there (not accepting their lame bonus offers, I hasten to add) and I'm happy to confirm, the Playtech roulette I played there stank to high heaven.

Avoid. Like the plague!

Hmm, ok, the fact that you depped bad reviews aside, why avoid it like the plague based on a bad run in roulette? I assume being a Playtech game, it's tested and overseen by Playtech and still random. I'd think one would avoid it due to bad service, poor promotions and not paying withdraws - not a poor roulette session.

Vernons' online casino has literally just been acquired from Sportech by NetPlayTV (Jackpot247, Supercasino) so I would expect things to improve considerably. Sportech didn't really do customer service - slow cashouts, slow support, no attention to individual customer requirements. NetPlay are more customer-focused IMO.

Let’s be honest they would have only purchased a list of customers details (buying the book) and they will just say to disgruntled customers from the previous incarnation we are sorry about the time you had with “them” but we are different :)

I suspect slight loss leaders +EV with previously registered accounts maybe considered but I wouldn’t hold my breath. New organisation, new sales pitch.

I am not cynical though, but I have a vivid imagination that sometimes sways me away from the fact that I don't have any idea on the setup on the new business and should only comment after experience (I have been reading my politically correct books tonight) :D

Quite correct. I find this group of casinos "netplay" very very good casino to play at. I don't know if they have adopted "vernons" sticky bonus rule, but jackpot 24/7 and supercasino the bonuses were not sticky when I played.

I had a cashout of £4900.00 then few weeks later £4200.00 off jackpot 24/7. and both paid with no problems at all. only bad thing about them is that stupid rule about 5k a week on progressives.

regarding vernons. I received a free £10 off them. I got that up to over £800. only problem was max cashout was £100. anyways I withdrew the full £800. and to my surprise I received the full cashout! when I had a good look on the site, it was a loyalty bonus, so must of been no max cashout. I didn't receive anything at all about notarised docs either. so all in all I had a good experience at vernons...

Yes - I'm actually surprised NetPlayTV have that rule in there. They are pretty decent otherwise but that really lets their reputation down. It comes across as if they are just interested in the balance sheet at the player's expense. Poor judgement and the sole reason as to why they are in the not recommended section with some of the less reputable casinos but it's just disappointing from a group who have the potential to be among the best.
