if you happen to be a visa card user for deposits ? do you think its correct to have the verified page get completed
during deposit without having to fill in the pass word for the verified by visa protection window ??
PS here is the email
i recently today made a deposit and no password needed after five minutes of playing the phone rings its a boat/marine supplier from the state of connecticut telling me that some one is using my credit card to try to buy a 3800.00 dollar
navigation system for a yacht /boat
i had the marine store merchant send me by email the fraudsters tel number and other info she had then forwarded it to the cc company all is well now but it could happen to any of us , i think ill get the info the merchant sent and post it here
here is the the email the marine store vender sent along with the scammers tel# & etc
Mr. xxxxx
I had a phone call today from someone giving your name, and address calling from phone number 870-568-7595, he proceed to order a Furuno Radar/Chart Plotter for $3830.39 using a visa ending in xxxx. The email address he provided was bpn_p1@yahoo.com
I did do an address match on the card (so you should see a $1.00 authorization) but I did not run the card for the funds. The order sounded suspicious from the get go, so I just kept this person on long enough to get the information and hopefully find the rightful card holder. If you or the Credit Card company has any questions please feel free to contact me.
