Vegas partner group is deceiving me

Hi,

I had not played at vegas partner for a long time, but in the last few months they have been sending me tons of emails with sign up offers, so i decided to have a go at one of their casinos: 777dragon.

I made a deposit of 25 euro and was waiting for my sign up bonus to be credited. It did not come. So I contacted live chat and they stated that I was not eligble for their signup bonus since I already claimed another bonus at one of their casinos. Their terms clearly state that I am not allowed to claim the sign up at any casino in the group if I have claimed one already UNLESS invited.

I was invited by email several times for this casino and others in their group and now that I have made a deposit they do not want to honour their invitation. If this was the first time they did this I would not think to much of it, but I have proof they do this on a regular basis, so it seems to be common business practice.

Since this is not an isolated incident and they are not willing to credit my bonus, I feel that I have been deceived and lured in with false promises. So here is my warning: Be aware that the bonus offers send by Vegas Partner are not being honoured when they feel like it. If you ask why, they will direct you to the same terms that state that when you are INVITED you CAN claim more then one sign up bonus at their casinos.

For me my evening has been ruined but I hope that by posting this I can warn other players about what they are doing, so at least some good can come out of this.

May I suggest that you contact the VPL rep here at Casinomeister at the above link with a private message. When you get to the page, look on the left for Private Message. You may want to include a link to this thread.

Then be fully prepared to forward the 'invitation' email to the rep.
 
Probably some of those email invitations you're receiving are coming from affiliates who don't know or care that you're not eligible for the SUB.

I do not agree with you Seventh. I do think it is a clear case of deceit since I am being promised something that is not being delivered after I have taken the required actions. I would not have signed up or made a deposit if I knew they would not honor the promotion they offered me.

Thank you for the link Mousey. I will attempt to contact their 'rep' in time if they decide not to respond to me in this thread. I would prefer the last.

To Chayton I would like to say that all the promotions they have thrown at me are coming directly from their company. They have send more then 10 in the last few months.

Fur further clarification; This is also not the first time they pull this stunt on me. They did it before at one of their other casinos and after complaining they admitted their mistake and credited me the bonus.

It looks like they have been doing this for more then a year and nothing has changed.

Please get your act together Vegas Partner. If you want people to become regular customers and deposit with and without bonuses, don't pull crazy stuff like this. This is exactly what makes me rarely deposit at any Vegas Partner casino. I do not know any other group that keeps pulling this stunt except for Casino Rewards, but they are (or were?) the worst microgaming casino group.
 
Hm, i´m wondering because i was able to use the first deposit bonus at all vpl casinos after an invitation mail, the last was 3 months ago at crazy vegas and i managed to cash out a decent sum.
But on the other site, there are often problems with crediting the bonus automatically or in a timely manner...
You should contact the rep, i think it will be resolved.

Firsthitplz, if they did not address you by your name its likely to come from an affiliate. Why dont you give us the screenshot of the invitation email and we will tell you what we think. Meanwhile, I believe Seventh777 has no relation with Dragon777 though they share the same numbers.:D

If they ignore a STOP request, the emails then become spam by definition, which breaches the standards for accreditation.

The main issue is a stubborn refusal to take responsibilty, nor properly police, the actions of affiliates. There are clear "spamming is not tolerated" rules for affiliates, but they only get caught when there is a BIG problem that leads to many players making complaints.

Posting a screenshot of the offending email will help decide whether this is deception on the part of the casino, or a failure to police the actions of their affiliates.

Spam will often start "Dear Player" or "Valued customer". It may also try to guess your name from your email address. This is a problem when email addresses are allocated by your ISP, rather than chosen by yourself, as they often use your name to generate them. My primary email address is like this, and it allows spammers to guess my name.

Spammers also lie in order to get you to click through and plant their cookie on your PC, so even if you sign up later, they stand a good chance of getting the credit for it.


Offers from a casino where you already have an account should quote your account number, as well as address you by name. Under UK law, they could find themselves held FULLY responsible, and this may really kick in once the new secondary licensing rules become law, and casinos such as this have to hold UK licenses as well as their main ones, and be accountable for their actions in the UK market under UK law, rather than that of their licensing jurisdiction. Failure to address the problems now whilst consequences are minor could lead to them landing in a heap of trouble under the new rules if UK players take their issues to UK agencies, rather than direct to the casino's licensing jurisdiction.

This particular issue would be regarded as misleading advertising, rather than breach of contract, and dealt with mainly through the ASA, although Trading Standards may get involved. Widespread complaints would get the attention of the OFT, which would NOT be in the interests of the industry.

There is a difference in not telling the truth and telling lies, they have their backs covered via the bonus T&C`s, they will expect you to know these basic rules (Identical bonuses can only be claimed at one of their sister casinos), entrapment is a far better word to describe these sort of work ethics, deceiving imho would be to offer that bonus then completely deny offering it in the 1st place ;).

Well, one things for sure, when these casinos find their way into the casino rewards group, they will fit in perfectly ;).

I am waiting for somebody from Vegas Partner to make a public statement in this thread regarding their policy. Of course I could try to solve this by PM, but I am afraid nothing will change and next year it will be somebody else complaining about the same thing. For me this is not about not getting a bonus anymore, this is about a casino group that is misleading me on purpose. I call that deceit. Since some members here are not agreeing with me:

I think you could qualify their actions as being a statement intended to mislead, fraud, trick.

I think this because they have pulled the same trick on me last year and on other players too. So it is definitely not an isolated incident.

They are sending out invitations (statements) that are intended to make me register and deposit under the false promise that I will receive a bonus, while they already know they do not want to give it to me even though their own terms state that when they INVITE me I am allowed to play and receive bonuses at this casino (this is the misleading part).

I would really appreciate it if they would come forward and admit their mistake and put clear rules in place to prevent this from happening in the future or that they would change their policy to make sure nobody who is not eligible is receiving invites to casinos.

I don`t want to be pedantic or carry on derailing the thread, and I know how annoying these spam mails can be, the point here that really get`s my goat are these bonuses are for players whom are new, so, somewhere along the line it must stand out and slap them around the face with the simplicity of it all - they have your e-mail address on record, for the sole reason that you must have used it whilst registering at a casino in their group, so it`s a fair bet that you have already had the deposit bonus, the only other way of getting your e-mail address is to buy it from the *We will not pass on your details to any third parties.......for free* bulk e-mail dealers, and we don`t want to go down this shady road :mad:.

So, we will keep it plain and simple and stick with the - they have it on record in their player data base approach, the same data base that will readily confirm that you are not eligible for this particular bonus anyway, as you have received it elsewhere, now, it`s pedantic time lol, to deceive you they would openly and knowingly offer you this bonus on the grounds you were entitled to it as you are a "New player", or, entrap you by dangling the bonus carrot of plenty under your nose, in the hope of you overlooking, or failure to read, the T&C`s, either way, it`s a whole heap of hoops to jump through just to fleece someone out of a few quid.

I think these places must be to compartmentalized, so the right hand doesn`t know, what the left is upto, and no-one can be arsed to check the relevant spam they spew forth, and only picking up on these cases when the player puts in a withdrawal request.

Be it entrapment or deceit, I honestly don`t think those involved would go to these measures just to scam people intentionally, if they do, then these casino`s are in a whole heap of trouble lol ;).

The problem here is that the "one bonus across the group" rule is not an absolute, but a conditional rule. Where a player receives an invite from a sister casino, they ARE then eligible for additional bonuses. A PERSONALISED email, and one coming from the casino's own domain, rather than that of a spammer, IS in my view an "invite from the casino", and thus "deceptive practice" where the casino then denies any liabilty for it's own domain, over which it should have full control. A spam "fake invite" would have nothing other than the player's email address, which would NOT permit the spammer to add any personal details. Such emails begin "dear (valued) player/customer", and however genuine the rest of the content, the greeting is a dead giveaway that this is a spammer "spoofing" any further indications that the email has come from the casino or other business.

Some of this spam is pretty sophisticated, and great lengths are taken to deceive the recipient. If the CASINO has allowed the spammer (usually an affiliate) access to it's own databsaes or domains, then the CASINO is held at least partly responsible for what issues from it.

If these emails are coming only because the OP has registered at one propertly, then it is the casino that has allowed the spammer access to this player's email address, and possibly enough other data to allow a spam clever enough to pass as a genuine invite under this bonus term to be sent to their players. If this is NOT a valid invite, then the affiliate responsible has seriously breached the terms of the affiliate agreement, and should have his account terminated in just the same way that a player who has set out to deceive the casino would.

A detailed examination of these emails is the only way to determine where blame and responsibilities lie. It would be more effective to forward the offending email to the rep, rather than trying to post a screenshot.
