Question utility bill not available for Novibet

You understand in the grand scheme of all things, I don't know every fact of every small print. had I known, had it been so importantly pointed out to me, I would have said ok, I understand, I'll go elsewhere ? It's almost as if I am trying to trick something here. You realise, I have £18 that is now trapped. I wonder what now happens to that money..... fact is, they shouldn't take money without either making the ID validation work beforehand or make it blatantly known that it is a requirement. I have never been asked to provide a utility bill and didn't know it happens. I have been asked for drivinglicense/passport and card.

I'm still me and this is for £18, not £18 million.

People have gave you solutions but you don't seem like you can be bothered to do any of them, its not really the casinos fault. You agreed to the T&C's when you signed up and its not like the ID part is hidden or on page 2053 of a 5000 page link of T&C's.

3.3 We reserve the right to request

  1. A clear and legible photo copy of your VISA/Mastercard and/or bank statement
  2. A picture identity card (ID) or passport
  3. Any other official personal identification document which we deem fit in order to ascertain and verify your age and identity and this at any time and especially prior to processing your withdrawal.
3.4 Where for any reason our customer refuses or is unable to provide us with any of the requested documents, we reserve the right in our sole, absolute discretion to freeze that customer’s account or to close the account immediately and the customer shall forfeit all his winnings. Customers should also note that their original deposits may not be refunded.

I don't see why you can't just print a bank statement off, I've not known a bank not do online PDF statements which you can download and print, unless it isn't registered at the address you are staying at, in which case you are pretty screwed TBH :(

If that is the case though, I would be careful even at UK Bookmaker sites, as they do, sometimes, request ID too, especially if you have a big win and they have to do enhanced KYC. William Hill, as an example, have been asking for proof of income for at least 10 years that I know of, long before the recent spate of doing it.

No. I have zero proof of address and I don't know if i can get beyond that. My banking is 100% online. I am still adamant they should request this BEFORE accepting your money. I play SkyVegas, no id required. William Hill recently £50 depo £52 withdrawn, no ID. Gala, Mecca... the list goes on. And when I do get asked by other sites I provide debit card and driving license which has my address on it ffs.

I see no valid reason for this to be so difficult. I am not going to be persecuted by money laundering convicts. It's £18. If they are so desperate, they can keep it. Utterly disgusting "accreditation". And with all due respect, just because someone else finds it "ok" doesn't mean I do.

Is that it Novibet ? Are you that desperate ? Keep it.

That's because big groups like Sky and the bookies use electronic verification via credit reference agencies and bear the cost to do it automatically behind the scenes. Foreign-based groups and casinos won't, hence the manual KYC guff.

I'm really not sure there is room in this for personal insults and assumptions. Please do jog on if you wish to attack people.

I have provided driving license and card. You went on to say it's not the casinos fault. Let me tell you something... I don't care who's fault it is. It needs sorting out not complicit "if you don't have it... hahahaha they are keeping YOUR money". I mean, all we need now is someone to find this funny.

I do not have any correspondence with my address on, utility bill or otherwise. It is NOT law that every citizen on the planet must have them therefore it cannot be 100% commanded that a person provide what they do not have nor have access to. The only possible and that is if my bank will provide it, is a pdf that can be printed out and I don't have a printer and they may not accept it.

So something needs to change. All this for £18 exposes a huge problem...... I can send a pic of my passport but clearly that still doesn't prove the one thing I know 100%... that I am me. That's over £100 worth of documents that I am lucky enough to have been able to afford.

As stated in my opening post. I do not have the document, nor access to one. I really do think it should be fair to say these companies should make that abundantly clear before accepting money to start with. I don't care for complicit opinion and clearly some people agree something is wrong in this whole process. I have three proofs that I am me. £18. money laundering indeed. ffs

Ok, firstly I didn't insult you, I gave you options which you don't like.

As for fault, well it is yours ultimately. You don't have the proof you need and they told you you might need before you signed up.

You have a bank account therefore you can get a statement, by law the bank have to give you one, so saying you can't get any proof of address is wrong. They will also post you a hard copy, although they might charge a fee for this. What about a council tax bill which I suggested at the start of the thread?

The casino are up front. You agreed you read and agreed with their terms and conditions, it is CLEARLY stated in there you might have to provide this. How much more up front do you want it, a personal phone call before you deposit from the MD asking if its ok that they request something they legally have to?

It is the law that a casino has to confirm your details including your address, it isn't law that you own a document to prove this, but then don't play at casinos as every casino has to do it.

I understand you are frustrated, and I get it, but you will not be able to get round this. If it were me I would get a statement sent from the bank and use that. If it costs a fiver or so then I would also open some other accounts at casinos I might want to use in the future, and use it to verify yourself even if you aren't making a deposit, then at least you will be verified there for future use and avoid this hassle. As I say though, at some point you may have to go through enhanced verification at any casino. A way to avoid a statement fee is possibly just change from online statements to paper statements, I get my statements from the HSBC by post and don't get charged.

Are we allowed to yawn?

I'm not here to play games. We don't know each other and the yawn comment came across as an insult. So you are looking for fault and blame while I am looking at viable need and available resources. Which part of the fact that I have no mail with my address on do you fail to understand ? Typically in any good business, key issues are blatant, not hidden in small print.

It's a great method for leaving people like me trapped. There's nothing more I can do. The casino keeps the money. The term "hidden small print" holds ground. The need for proof of address should apply for creating an account, not trapping people. Had I known.. wait.. I know I have already said this.....

Feel free to move on with your life beyond my failure to see small print that has cost me. "accredited for small print traps".

I've always been require to provide identity, proof of payment method (typically a visa) and proof of address. Phone bills are never accepted, but I receive countless of information from my banks or I can provide my Internet Provider Bill as proof.

Ask your bank to send you a statement and you can get your proof of address.

Which company do you bank with?

Which company do you bank with?

Yea, I'm not obliged to answer that, the same as I'm not happy with handing over multiple ID to a company when identity theft is a concern "out there". The outcome here is I have no utility bill or correspondence with my address on. As long as the majority are happy though.....

Which part of 'its the law'do you not understand? No one is happy to have to piss about taking photos and sending in copies of bills, but most people realise they have to. Casinos don't like having to waste money on staff checking them either. Not sure why you are having so much trouble understanding the casino have no choice, well assuming they don't want a fine of hundreds of thousands or to lose their license.

If you are concerned about handing multiple ID to casinos, seriously stop playing at any casino were you are not already ID checked !

Me like most around here, really don't understand why your bank can not supply you a paper bank statement if you go to any of their offices and ask for one ? The only answer I can presume is, you are disabled and it is a too big hassle to do that !
But if that is not the answer and you plan to continue playing at online casinos, I strongly advise you to do that effort because surely some other casino will need that paper bank statement to have you verified and send your winnings. Good luck to you !

I give up! But I will offer some parting advice, take it or leave it.

The mains water supply around Brum is fluoridated, which means it is likely that your water supplier is adding a toxic waste, which is high in some kind of fluoride compound, to the mains water supply. You should go to the website and check it out.

If it is true, for God's sake, don't drink the water, don't cook with the water, and if you can help it, don't bathe in the water.

You should also look into the various ways of detoxifying yourself from fluoride toxicity, like chelation or zeolite.

I raise this issue because you are exhibiting the symptoms of someone who is suffering from fluorosis, and please don't take that as an insult, I am only trying to help, just like everyone else on this thread.

Bye! :)

So in essence this is a big fail. They can take the money but can't give it back. 'accredited'.

And no one has a problem with that.

This email came today.

My advice would be to log into your online banking, download the latest PDF statement and speak to the rep on here and see if they can get it approved for you

Iv been asked for ID hundreds of times and I quite often use PDF files from the bank or from Sky for my telephone/tv/internet bill

Iv not had one rejected so far and I don't see why you mind showing them this, there not going to share it with anyone else or pick holes in what you spend your money on!

Get it done

You're wasting your time, he doesn't want advice, he wants others to agree with his rants about a casino following the law, and him thinking because he couldn't be bothered to read the T&C's before he signed up, they shouldn't apply to him.

I would knock that on the head, Goatie, if I were you. Fluoride is one of the most insidious chemicals that our bodies really don't need.

An intake of fluoride will cause the iodine in the thyroid to be displaced, thus reducing the IQ of the victim, causing brittle bones and teeth, and eventually cancer. It's seriously hideous stuff!

Seriously, This Guy
Pfft. “No Correspondance”-more like “No Common Sense” Mate.

Let me list all of the reasons why that phrase is more apt in this situation:
1. You created this post.
2. Your blatant ignorance of the Casino’s t&cs and KYC process.
3. Your lack of acknowledegment formsdisrespect towards those of CMs members kind enough to offer help you even I thouh was clear you when i am sure most of them would o it was clear from the first paragraph you had no interest in attempting anything at all instead demonstrating arrogance and entitlement as if the casino owed u a favour

What's with the personal attacking here @Casinomeister ?

Fact as stated in my opening post I have no way to provide proof of address in my current situation. That's how it is and there is no amount of help (which I am thankful for and will always appreciate although it may be hard to see that while this was pending due to frustration) or insult is going to change that. I am not going to sit here and explain why more than i have already and that is as far as providing what I can't provide, the end of the matter.

So just now I receive this :

Dear *****,

We are happy to inform you that your withdrawal has been processed by our payments department.

Please allow 1-5 working days for the funds to appear on your account, in order for your bank to complete the process.

For any questions or clarifications, do not hesitate to contact customer support at any time!

Kind regards,

Novibet Support

I still haven't provided proof of address. I also couldn't get any statement pdf or paper, from my bank. What I did do, is take some screen shots of my online banking, showing the transactions I made with novibet, the lack of statements available for the last 5 months (I don't know why) and my details page showing my email address, my phone number and part of my address.

Listen, I am please. I am thankful for the genuine help. But for those of you who chose to ignore facts and thrown judgements or insults, realise why this whole forum exists. To look at the gaming industry, improve it, call them to the table to solve matters. And look, we've found a whole new way of bypassing the proof of address thing, for people like me, whom it is not available to.

Sure, I was frustrated and disappointed but it's £18. Nothing much. However the disappointment was found in the trap that we are all complicit to. These "rules" or "laws" should be present when signing up, not when trying to cash out. As someone else said... what if you don't have an £80 passport or a driving license ? There are millions of people to fall into this potential problem.

Remember, none of us put this hole in the road, but is it really helpful to berate those who are thrown down it ? And please, no one on the face of gods green earth reads or understands 100% of every small print they are given.

Anyway, it looks to be sorted now and I can thank.... well, I dunno, those who tried to help. Those who saw the frustration and didn't throw fuel on the fire. Much appreciated. Btw, I have been here before to CM when a big win I think 1.6k didnt show in my account balance. This place was very good at calming nerves and making me feel it should be ok and it was.

I truly think this ID issue needs putting at the forefront, by the casinos and then no one can fall over.
