Hi Folks and especially to the more experienced.

The computer I use to play online casinos is in my room and no one else knows :-))
It is now DOWN! Don't know reason....

Question: I have 3 more computer downstairs which are used for businesses and other personal use by other members of the household. NONE OF THEM EVER PLAY ONLINE! Is there a problem if I were to use one of those computers to play? I would really be pissed if I hit something and they tell me I am on wrong computer Trust me they know.

Honestly, I did enqure before at either Inet OR Jacjpot Capital and did receive a reply...But as I said its in the bad computer. Thanks in advance!

I have gone to the City Library and used the one they have to show some friends afew sites that I play at and to me it's fine to use any place you go.
Just login & Go.

Tom, you know better than that. :p Chances are that nobody else has used that same computer (or network of computers) to play at the same casinos you logged into from there. If they had done so, more than likely your account would have gotten flagged.

You're lucky you didn't get caught by the librarians...if you were caught doing that here (if you could even bypass their firewall to get to those sites,) you'd lose the right to use their computers and quite possibly lose your right to even use the library at all.

The only time you're going to run into trouble by using different computers is if you go to an internet cafe, or any other place that the public can use computers (burger king even has them where I'm at,) and someone else has used that same computer, or IP address, to log into their account at the same casino.

I know but you should see the many that do this.
The Library here in Ct has at least 100 computers and no one takes an eye out to see what they are going on them.
I will bet out of the 100 I would say 80 of them are playing on a gaming site.
I know about the ISP thing lol
They say life you have to take some chances lol :p
I only used it for five mins just to show someone how it works.

In Stovetopp's case if they are in the same household they are on the same isp anyways.

Wow, your library must be very lax....our libraries here aren't that big, and they use a firewall & filtering to block out quite a few sites that fit in the "unwanted" categories.

The main reason is due to liability.....

My laptap just recently broke and now I play the tourneys on my computer or sometimes on my step-sons laptop and I have no problems playing, just sign on with your original user ID and password and you shouldn't have any problems..

I've played on several computers in my home, I play when I am at work...lol...shhhh....and I play when I am at other people's houses on my wireless laptop... have never had a problem,,not that I win that often...lol.
And I know Inetbet knows I also play from work because I have to have them email me tempting tuesday because I can access casino at work but not website...lol So far no problem.. let me know if someone has had other experience. goood luck all

Just be very, very careful if playing from somewhere other than home. Use of a wireless network away from home could possibly put you in hot water should you have a big cashout, especially if someone else on that network has an account at the same casino. Playing at a friend's house can also raise a red flag, especially if they also have an account at the same casino (group). Casinos are very picky about this and are alert to fraud and are not the least bit hesitant in locking accounts if yours becomes suspect.

However, playing on your own home computer (regardless of which computer) should be no problem. Surely the casinos understand that many people have more than one computer in the house. I've never had a problem with casinos upon tossing my old computer and installing and playing on my new one.

I have had 1 incidents with this issue. I had it at Rival gaming sights. It was bc I was at my sisters house playing on her computer. When I got home to use MY home computer , my account had been locked. I have had this issue with them also, when I played on my daughters computer, thats in my home same IP address when mine was being worked on. So please be careful with this. Most of the T&C says, that you are only allowed to use one account on one computer in one household. Rival has been the only one, so far that has given me these problems. MGS & RTG does not. But this is not to say that it cannot happen.

With this new MGS issue about the ip addresses I really would be cautious.

Probably the biggest problem in using someone else's computer is that the casino will leave traces behind, even if uninstalled. This could mean that the owners of these PCs will suddenly find "rogue software" traces, and will want to know why. This could lead to someone's "secret" hobby becoming not so secret.

Most problems are with REGISTRATION on a different computer, especially when that computer already has a user with an account at the casino. Once a player has played, and had ID approved by the casino, there should not usually be a problem with playing on different computers, or even on different networks. The Kentucky issue may make a difference though, as casinos might think that some Kentuckians would play on other networks in order to circumvent the ban. Similarly, if a non resident plays away, and ends up getting a Kentucky IP address by accident, they might find their account investigated in case they were circumventing the ban, but made a silly mistake getting them caught.

I always thought that there was no harm in it at all. I've only ever seen mention of a need to use your own personal computer (only) in t&cs about bonuses. I've logged into my casino accounts from all over the place without a problem.

But, I was told on these boards that when my nephew didn't get paid out by unibet, it was likely because he had played there using my computer. I don't know if that's true, as they never told him that themselves (they just told him his documents were fake - and kept his deposit, stubbornly refusing to enter into discussion with him about it).

Anyway, perhaps the dirtier casinos will use the ip address/computer thing to get out of paying customers. I'm certainly more carefull about where I log in to a casino from now. But I still trust that some of the casinos I regularly play at don't care and have not changed my habits with them.

I remember that one. I got the impression that your Nephew REGISTERED on your computer, rather than just having played there. This looks like duplicate accounts to the casino, and would be enough to trigger an investigation. They then seemed to decide that you had a "fake Nephew" by declaring his documents as fake. What they probably mean is that they believe it was YOU trying to open a second account in order to have another bite at the sign up bonus. The next step would be for your Nephew to use the forum PAB service, and be prepared to prove he is no fake, and that it really was HIM who played, rather than YOU by "borrowing" his ID (a pretty common fraud).

This really goes back to my point that it is REGISTERING THE ACCOUNT at an "away" computer that will undoubtedly cause problems. Nearly all casinos expect that some players will play from more than one computer, even at more than one location, as well as increasingly using laptops and Wi-Fi.

The increase in casinos that work on mobile phones will make playing at different locations inevitable, and presumably there is an issue here, playing from someone ELSE'S phone.

Yes, I had a little feeling you were suspecting that yourself at the time.

Losing a bonus if you haven't fullfilled t&cs is one thing. But losing all of your entire (post-bonus) deposits is a more than harsh penalty. Personally, I don't trust them anymore, I think they're welchers, and they have quite literally given the industry a bad name as far as my Nephew is concerned.

At least then, they'll have something (their phone) to go on, as opposed to the current method of using IP addresses to figure out someone is using the same computer as someone else with an account at their casino.

Using IP addresses to track multiple accounts for mobile casinos is useless. Take for instance my IP address - ###.sub-75-##-#.myvzw.com. Every Verizon wireless user will have an IP address with the EXACT format, no matter what state they are in.

I have a dynamic IP address from sky. I am assigned 1 of x,xxx amount of ip addresses every time I turn the router on. I think that anyone else using sky broadband in my town gets assigned an ip from the same pool. As far as I can tell, sky seem to be the most popular isp in my area. So most/many people from my town that sign up to the same casino, run the "risk" of using a duplicate ip address.

Asking for ID is a fair way to check this up. But if they use the ip address as a primary identification check, then that's nonsense. In the case of unibet, if they did flag a duplicate ip address used by my Nephew, I think it's more likely they matched it to someone else from my town. If they did (allegedly) choose to ignore various forms of official ID because they didn't comply with a faulty ip identification method, then their security is a shambles and not worthy of any trust.

What I experienced in european casinos is that your acount seems to be linked to the IP so that you cannot play elsewhere than the access point used to sign up.

Well, I don't know for others but what I experienced is that I've got a static IP and I'm used to play from home. During the week end for exemple while I'm not at home and I want to play, I can't log into the slots. I don't know if people with dynamic IPs have the same problems. It could be a problem with my account, i don't know.

Hi Stovetopp,
we have no problems with players with multiple computers, the thing to avoid is to have multiple accounts on a single pc.

Have Fun!
