Dear Bernadette,

Thank you for contacting The Jackpot Factory Group about with your query.

Kindly note that there are two ways for US players to deposit funds to play with in our casinos:

- VISA card - Please make sure that the card says: for international use.

- Quick Tender\Use My Wallet This is a secure and trusted web wallet that we help players to set up. We recommend US players to use this option since it is an easy and fast way to receive casino winnings. To view the Quick Tender\Use My Wallet website click on the following link:

Any withdrawal between $1001 and $3000 will be sent out by check via courier mail and can take up to 7 working days.

Any withdrawal above $3001 will be sent out via direct wire transfer and can take up to 10 working days. My question is, can I really gamble online legally or am I taking a chance and have to hope I don't get caught? I am not into doing anything illegally. I do miss gambling online and would love to do it again but.....any comments on this would be appreciated. Thanks...
Bernadette

Hi KenoGal,
Welcome to the forums.

First let me cover my butt and say, I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice. You should check with a local attorney.

OK... as long as you don't live in one of the 11 states that has specifically outlawed online gambling you are not breaking any federal law wagering online, as long as you do not wager on sports.

To clarify, online wagering by players was NEVER banned inside the USA by the UGIEA law. There was a lot of misinformation put out by anti gambling people about the UGIEA.

The UGIEA law was targeted at business and banks and made transferring "illegal" gambling money illegal. There is no legal definition of just what 'illegal' gambling is at the federal level. That is why you can use your Visa card...

Sound confusing? It is...

To make it simple as I can....As far as anyone here knows, no one has been arrested in the USA for simply placing an online wager or collecting their winnings from an online casino. (outside of those 11 states).

Hope that helps... And good Luck

Well said, lots0 (there is room for you in the legal profession should you decide to change careers ). The IRS should be of more concern to a US player (in any state) than UGIEA. It should also be noted that cashouts from many online casinos are increasingly difficult for US players.

I can't really agree with this if the US players stick with acreditted. Some acreditted do take what seems like quite some time longer than others to pay winnings:rolleyes:, but I've not yet run into non-payment from any acreditted.
(ummmm.. knock on wood :D)
