We could do with something similar, too many liberals, judges making decisions from their ivory towers - well policed, quiet safe neighbourhoods. With the exception of a few they're hypocrites who wouldn't set foot alone, esp after hours, in dodgy areas, or feel unworried if any members of their family did.

Maybe the world and it’s politicians should take a hard look at why some countries are so poor that it’s inhabitants are willing to get in raft built for 5 with 30 other people and cross a channel. Imagine what drives people to do that?
There has to be a way to do this better. Don’t care if it’s democrats, republicans, liberals or conservatives.

I agree but thinking about things realistically, some parts of the world need to remain mostly rural and provide rich habitats for wildlife, looked over by a sustainable population, living alongside it. Otherwise lots of species will die out, never to be seen again.

It took western countries centuries to get a reasonable amount of law and order, safety for citizens, and things like fresh, cleaning water, toilets etc... They didn't just magically appear. There are a lot of corrupt govts and leaders in the 2nd and 3rd world countries, siphoning the money out, selling resources cheap to the 1st world. [sometimes to pay IMF debts]

It is very sad these folk dying in the english channel, but they mostly come from the middle east it seems atm, and no reason why they couldn't have a decent quality of life in that region; but not if they have too many children, that then creates more poverty and problems, and then folk want to escape to find a better life elsewhere.

I don’t disagree. It’s just so disheartening to hear about all these people at all our borders.
And to watch them be vilified and sometimes maybe yes there are bad people. But border situation in the USA and in first world countries is just so out of control.

There has to be a better way. I don’t believe for a minute that the solution is there it’s just not profitable for anyone to do it.

Trump was careful to say no mandates, but desantis is doing a better job of explaining the conservative take on things. Trump wants to take acclaim for the fast vaccine development, pfizer has made a **** ton of money, and folk are on their 3rd shot in less than 12 months. Plus the adverse reactions/deaths that the trials did not discover, maybe I'm being picky but DJT's view of it all may be a bit too glowing compared to reality.

Desantis is really magnifying the differences in the politics of the vaccine and Americans are slowly taking notice

I have a different Mayor where I live but the New Mayor of Boston is cracking down.
The old Boston Mayor was Marty Walsh, he's now the Labor Secretary in the Biden Admin.

10 minutes in they visit the cigar lounge.
Way bigger than my cigar lounge, plus it has all vintage playboy magazines, and i only have most of them.
Also i currently dont have a nightclub, so that would also be an upgrade.

The population of the USA as of Jan 1st 2022 is approx 334 million.

I guess the 34 million who aren't going to jail are kids. Won't they have fun ruling the world - the stuff of dreams for them.

If I was a kid, I would definitely be shouting Lock 'em Up!
