US baby boomers urged to take hepatitis C blood test
US baby boomers have been advised by health officials for the first time to get tested for the liver-destroying virus hepatitis C.

Those born between 1945-1965 are most likely to be infected but it is thought only a quarter of this generation has been tested for the virus.

The US Centers for Disease Control (CDC) believes its campaign could save more than 120,000 lives.

I never had a blood transfusion or did those types of drugs either. But in 1990 I was hospitalized with viral meningitis and a bunch of other nastiness, the doctors weren't sure I was going to make it. While in the hospital I contracted all 3 forms of hepatitis. I still have to have liver enzyme tests done once a year, but haven't had any flare ups in almost 15 years now.

Have yourself tested to be on the safe side.

I figured that, but its not a word I would use publically, so just wanted to check that you knew the meaning :)

On the other side of the pond it has a more sexual connotation but not in N.A. It has little impact, isn't considered a 'blue' reference and only serves as a synonym for 'blast', 'darn', or 'pants'...like, 'oh bugger!'....additionally a synonym for brat, like, 'my little baby brother is such a little bugger'.
