Anyone from MGS reading this?

WTF is with the racially-themed games you keep releasing... off the top of my head, "Loaded", "Wasabi San", "Lady of the Orient"...

Stick to the myths and the cartoons and the jokes, please. "Fortune Cookie" may go down well in the US but it is a fast track to throwing away the biggest online market.

They sound interesting, but it always comes down to this....

Are they REALLY new slots or just re-themed. I'm kinda sick of all the slots that MGS is passing off as 'new slots' these days.

I don't play MGS much anymore because of it. I prefer REAL new games and there are very few of those at Microgaming casinos anymore. I don't see the purpose of releasing slots every month if they are just new graphics on top of old slots.

Here is what I think will happen next.....

Since MGS now has a slot (Mega Moohla) with multiple jackpots, they will re-theme this idea multiple times in the coming year. So - we will get a bunch of more slots just like that one because they have latched onto what RTG & Wagerlogic have been doing for a long time now.... Random Jackpots.

Anyone else think the same or am I just barking in the wind?

Never more evident than in the latest "Twin Samurai" offering... Could be straight off an RTG. This suits me, as I'm a big MG fan - and now I can get the benefits of the RTG games too...

The One Gig Casino

We are fast approaching the 1 Gig Casino!

This is getting out of hand. The updates take up so much time, as well as bandwidth. There have already been TWO "updater launches" on many of my casinos, and now barely mid month and a third is planned. Wull this too be "updating" numerous old games like Thunderstruck like the last ones did, leaving the casino running slow and sticky for hours even after the new games show as fully installed.

Is this a ploy to stop us from having accounts at more than one or two MG casinos!

The slots with multiple random jackpots are popular in the brick & mortar casinos. So yeah, I think MG will pump out more Mega-Moolah type games. However, the multiple jackpot thing is not really exciting online because you don't see anyone else win, it just quietly advises you that you lost again.

I also think they will do more of the RTG-style type slots similar to the Samurai game. That will be good and hopefully they come up with the ideas for the bonus rounds.

Unfortunately, this new focus won't stop them from also continuing to re-release more of their tired old slots but with new symbols.

Let's see... today is the 11th, new games being released on the 13th, and I still have casinos installed that aren't fully 'upgraded' from the last release. My hard drive will be grinding, and the casinos will be chugging and jerky till sometime after New Years, trying to get games downloaded.

(**wistfully** If we only had to download them once for each release.... )

This is only an interim "Festive" release, MORE games are due at the end of December.
Despite removing MiniVegas, I seem to have no more space than before due to the two updates so far this month.

I will have to remove more casinos, and they will be those that lack Christmas Cheer on the bonus front!

It is insane that every game automatically downloads. Why the hell can you not select which games you want?
MG make it so!

Last night, I fired up a casino I hadn't played in awhile. Yikes! Most of the new games from Nov. still weren't downloaded and none of the most recent release were done, and some of the existing games had to be 'updated'... (Are they changing the payout % on these older games??) I saw it would take freakin' forever and just logged off. Forget it! I didn't have the time or patience to wait on it, or try playing with games jerking and freezing up.

It's almost time to do my annual holiday uninstalls anyway...

Although we have never been told why old games are being updated, two possible reasons are; 1) The addition of the "free spins promotion" 2) The ability to display as coins or credits. This does not explain why games such as Thunderstruck and Ladies Nite keep updating alongside the new releases.

Casinos not fired up for a couple of months tend to have to update in stages. Although the games do not show, leaving it logged in for a short while, such as overnight, will lead to the files being downloaded. Logging off and logging on again should then reveal the new games in the appropriate list, and trigger the next stage of the update for the following night:D
