Book of Dead

Unfinished Games

If your game round is disrupted, all game information and placed bets are stored until you re-open the game. You may continue your unfinished round from the point of interruption. Unresolved bets placed but remaining undecided in incomplete games will become void after 90 days. Malfunction voids all pays and plays.

Information

Payline wins occur on the number of selected paylines, according to the information in the paytable and game rules. When winning on multiple paylines in a single game round, all winnings are added together. All winnings from Features (such as Free Spins), Bonus Games and/or Scatters (if applicable) are also added to payline wins. All winning combinations are paid out at the end of a game round. Free Spin features are played with the same bet and same number of selected lines as the game round that triggered the feature – unless otherwise stated. The bet cannot be changed during a currently running game round. Please refer to the game rules for more information.

Game Rules

Rich Wilde and the Book of Dead is a 5-reel video slot game. Up to 10 lines can be activated, lines are numbered and always activated in numerical order (1, 2, 3, 4, etc.).

The Scatter symbol acts as a Wild, and substitutes for all other symbols.

3 or more Scatter symbols trigger Free Spins. An initial 10 free spins are awarded.

Before a free spin sequence begins, an ordinary symbol is randomly chosen to act as a special expanding symbol during the entire free-spin sequence. After prizes for regular winning combinations have been recognized, the special symbol may expand to cover all three positions on its reel. The special symbol will expand only when additional prizes can be awarded along active paylines for winning combinations. Expanded symbols do not need to appear adjacent to each other to result in a winning combination.

3 or more Scatter symbols re-trigger Free Spins. An additional 10 free spins are awarded.

The game also features an optional Gamble round that provides an opportunity to multiply the total prize on any spin in the main game by correctly guessing the colour or suit of a hidden card. The Gamble round can be played up to five times in a row.

The average RTP is 91.25%. RTP is achieved through participation.

In the SETTINGS window, you can specify the number of lines you wish to activate per round, the number of coins you wish to bet per active line, and the coin denomination used. To start the round, click SPIN. When the reels stop, the symbols displayed determine your prize according to the paytable.

Game description

Book of Dead – Let Rich Wilde take you on a journey to possible fortune!

Rich Wilde returns in this great Play’n GO slot which has taken the online casino world by storm. As you try to become Rich, in more ways than one, you are presented with this five-reel slot which has three rows and ten paylines. In Book of Dead, the reels are displayed to you via some exceptional graphics showing impressive old relics and treasures from an age gone-by. The symbols you will see include Rich Wilde, a Pharaoh’s Mask, card symbols (10 to Ace), and the actual Book of Dead. You may also happen upon some ancient-Egyptian figures such as Osiris and Anubis.

The slot takes you on a quest for the Book of Dead, hidden somewhere in Egypt, with Rich. You can take this journey from the comfort of your laptop or the convenience of your mobile device – Android or iOS-based!

Payout percentage, win lines and bet sizes

This high-variance game has an RTP rate of 96.21%. Released in January 2014, Book of Dead has managed to remain at the “top of the charts” when it comes to the most popular online video slots you can play at an online casino.

Whatever way you are accessing Book of Dead, you will need to select your coin denomination before each bet/spin. All bets can range from a minimum of €0.10 up to the maximum of €100 per spin. Make sure you’ve selected your intended stake correctly before spinning those reels.

This game contains such bonus features as Free Spins and a Gamble Feature. The Free Spins can be triggered by uncovering at least three Book of Dead scatter or wild symbols anywhere on the game. If you manage this then you are rewarded with ten free spins! And yes, they can be retriggered!

The Gamble Feature is the usual bonus option we see in many slots. But it’s still bloody fun! Basically, after a winning spin you will have the option to double or quadruple your winnings. You just have to be guessing the colour or suit of the next card drawn in the Gamble Feature. Be careful with this one!

Well, Virgin Games run the highest (with the jackpot version anyway I think. 95-96 odd) of the red tiger games, so already better than Pokerstars.

Also check Netent like Gordon Ramsey on Pokerstars. Low RTP
could be, only game I play on netent doa2
yee your right I check they have much better rtp on red tiger

don't be surprised MR Vegas has the same rtp 91% on playngo

A few of the older games have now been nerfed - All running on the 94% math model.

Bye Bye Unibet :)
Came onto post that as well - my go to for Reactoonz 2 (don't laugh, it likes me) and i checked before i opened and noticed the 94%. I did think i hadn't seen a garga in 4 deposits :p

They had the cheek to email me a few weeks and threaten to close the account; looks like they'll be doing me a favour now :p

Guess what? They also lowered the Play'nGo slots to to around 94%. Why would anybody play slots there, I don't know LUL.

I've tried it on PC and mobile, still not working..they may as well remove it altogether.
Same, address bar thing-ee just spins with a black screen

Not that it was amazing anyhow, mind you - prefer those promos where it's based/tailored on your play etc so you know if you have a good night on the slots you'll get a decent reward, not Home Bargain 10p spins etc.

went to unibet for the better rtps now noticed that they have lowered break the bank again to 94.01 played it without checking (my bad) the only way they cut rtp is by removing a scatter, as after playing it at 90p and in 256 spins never seen 3 scatters together.looks like i will be moving on, they are quick payers though. even immortal romance down to 94.01.

Can you please provide more info on this? I cannot find it on the ‘sidebar’ but might be looking in the wrong place.
On the mobile site, once logged in, click Casino, then the hamburger menu in the top right. Giftwheel is highlighted about halfway down.

As I say though, it’s broken right now so isn’t loading.

@Novibet Rep - know when the gift wheel will be fixed?

Maybe if it wasn't for threads like this, the casinos wouldn't be so aware of what the other casinos were doing.

I can't see the manager of Unibet having accounts at all the other casinos, logging in, noticing the RTP had dropped and then changing the RTP at his casino.

But I could see him looking at the CM forum, every so often. Since you don't need to be a member to read it.
Plus, there'll be the reps who are on here, reporting back to the management - "it seems like we're one of the few casinos who haven't lowered RTP yet"

RTP isn't understood by enough players for it to make a difference.

It is strange the way these things are happening at Unibet. For example, they have reduced all Play N Go and Red Tiger slots to 94% or less, yet whole categories like Netent and Yggdrasil all still at max.Maybe they are just going through each provider in turn and reducing the rtp accordingly.

Rival companies in the same industry do talk to each other - informally, off the record, or at industry events. And they will have noticed that their rivals have had little ill-effect

you right they was talking since May 2021

I like this one at VS. Turn on "boost" mode and have reduced RTP, what an amazing deal!

I saw the same thing on Buffalo king megaways from pragmatic, but the difference in rtp is really small compared to the slot you posted (see pic)
'Pay more to get less' is a pretty dumb concept and it really shouldnt exist on any slot, not matter how big or small the difference is.

Aye. Strictly, the RTP isn't lower as such, it's more that you're increasing the chance of hitting a bonus with Pragmatic's boost mode, but not increasing the value of your stake in the game itself - so you lose more on an individual spin (e.g. 20p vs 25p) but only because that extra 20% goes toward the chance of getting the bonus.

It's more a quirk of reporting RTP. The same as if you look at the costs of an overdraft when expressed as APR, they're often in the thousands, when the actual cost can be pennies.

Numbers is shit, man.

My bad.
I thought it was lower because its lower.
Its possible i have misunderstood and 96.49% return is not lower than 96.52% return.

But increased chance of hitting the bonus = more money from bonus modes. Lately Pragmatic has pretty much had the same rtp on or off on this mode, which should be correct. You will get less base game wins, but more scatters so you have choice, overall it should be the same.

Double the house edge by paying more is not clever

Poor little mites, casino owners definitely would have been heading to lidl or farmfoods for their Christmas food shopping, were it not for these rtp cuts:

Gross gambling yield april 2020 to sept 2020 (half, yes half year):

Remote (or online) gambling is the largest combined sector by GGY. With £3.1bn GGY, it comprises 52.3% of the overall market in this reporting period. Online casino games dominate the sector, generating £1.9bn in GGY, mostly from slots games. GGY for remote betting totalled £1.0bn, led by football and horse betting. GGY for remote bingo totalled £98.1m.

National Lottery ticket sales totalled £3.9bn. This supported a GGY equivalent of £1.6bn, making the National Lottery the second largest sector by GGY. Over the same period, the primary contribution to good causes totalled £775.1m.
