I decided to give Betat and Slottyvegas a try. I will bite my tongue on my customer service experience to date, I will leave it at much misinformation provided, and several technical issues which haven't made it the most positive of first impressions, but I am on with a very nice rep, slowly warming up to them.
I am absolutely in love with NetEnt games. It was the only provider I had never tried. Lost my shirt on Dead or Alive, losing 3 $75 deposits.....I went back for more. Just got back from picking up two $50 ukash vouchers.
I go to put in the first one at SlottyVegas, and I get this error: Your transaction was identified as unusual and was denied. Please contact Ukash Customer Services.

I contact Ukash, they say everything is in order, and there is no reason for the voucher being declined. They will only open a ticket if I can email them a screenshot of the original error, which I can't. They wont even take the transaction reference number that comes up when I try to deposit. The casino will now email Ukash for me, but this can all take days.

I have made literally 100's of deposits via ukash over the past few years, almost exclusively at the Microgaming group. Slotty/Betat are the first ones that require you provide an email address during the actual transaction, this is the only difference I can spot. Maybe they don't like multiple deposits in a day or something? Has anyone else ever gotten this error??

I just want to play....grrrrrr

Went ahead and tried the second voucher at Betat, same result. Two different casinos, two different vouchers both deemed "suspicious"? Wow.

Sounds like some sort of administrative error, probably caused by computers trying to talk to each other. I think you are just going to have to sit it out until its sorted as these payment companies usually take a few days to sort things out. :(

ukash can't be used at casino's or any activity which require you to be 18+ has something to do with new laws

on the voucher there needs to be a 18+ sign on it otherwise u can't use it .

had the problem myself but switched to paysafecard and all is working

In UK they ask if you want 18+ vouchers and I have no problems using them at casinos or bookies.

i have tried to deposit with vouchers at casino's but they require it to be age verified vouchers went back to the store and they have never heard of it before even called ukash and they don't know either that was the last time me using ukash lol

Not 100% sure but I too have been told that there are two versions of Ukash, one general and one for 18+

The Pay Zone machines (slim pinky one) will automatically generate the 18+ one, whereas the pay point machines (yellow box) will ask the retailer 'Customer over 18?'

Although I've used the same retailer(s) for years for my vouchers, I'm in the habit of always saying 'the 18+ one please' automatically

the wife had problems with Ukash and Betat recently but it did not 'void' the voucher and she deposited elsewhere, since been back to Betat I believe and deposited with Ukash no problems :)

I have had the same problem with ukash at betat also. The error message says there is a problem connecting to the host, the voucher is still valid for other uses.
I can deposit at Slotty Vegas using ukash without any problems.
I'm in Australia so the problem isn't a regional thing.
Have a nice day all.

Do you have Ukash account? If not, just create one, it takes literally five minutes and then try to either combine or split the vouchers. If they have been flagged by suspicious activity, they are now zeroed. But since Ukash already told you, you should get merged or split vouchers to your email.

I once bought the under 18 and have been able to deposit to Neteller, but that has been couple of years back, might not work these days.

Last resort would be to take a selfie with vouchers, close ups so they can see the codes, info about where you bought them and what transactions you've tried and your ID. Put it all into email and tell them to cancel them and issue over18 code. I find their support quite fast, if you keep pestering them, so you might get it the same day.

Ukash replied to me, and closed the case.

The outcome..... They insist Slotty/Betat are the ones blocking the purchases, due to daily limits THEY imposed. Slotty and Betat are the ONLY casinos EVER that I have seen impose a mandatory email address to associate to the purchase, and therein lies the problem.

Slotty/Betat deny any and all involvement and place the blame back on to Ukash.

I have now used the vouchers at my regular casino, without issue, after attempting yet again to use them at Slotty.

The Slotty/Betat rep that I spoke to at great length yesterday insisted they would be following up with me personally today...only problem is they are, and always were scheduled to be off today.

I will not do business with this group any longer, but am still loving netent and it's games. Any suggestions as to where I should play now?

Looks like a template dismissal from Betway without bothering to investigate. They arrogance has told them "no way is this anything to do with us, send the player back to UKash". Since the vouchers worked elsewhere, it's nothing to do with them having been flagged by UKash at their end, as in this case they wouldn't work anywhere else until the issue had been sorted out.

If Betway take a closer look, they will probably find that the block has occurred at their end, and will stay put until someone resets it, which is why the vouchers STILL don't work there on a different day.

Betway CS and their management for that matter are awful had a Ukash voided by their casino when attempting to deposit a while back, took a WEEK to get sorted, Id already called Ukash prior to contacting Betway Support and provided transaction ID (given by Ukash on phone) and I even gave them a nod in the right direction as to why it may be happening. Once sorted it happened again a week or so later and that took even longer for them to apply the credits I was due, disgusting treatment considering I am personally thousands down on their casino, Since closed my account as well as my 'Spin' account and I will never go back, 32 Red and Guts all the way now!

Have you any more on why this might be happening. Looks like it could help others cut through the BS when they have this inflicted upon them. It may also help some to steer clear by perhaps predicting when their next UKash deposit is at risk of fouling up.

Ukash just seems to be getting stricter to use. I have never had any problem depositing it in a casino but I used to fund neteller with it as well. But last few times I tried depositing it in neteller it got blocked.

Had to phone Ukash each time and send them a photo of Ukash voucher and they would unblock it. Was explained to me that security now blocks many vouchers if trying to deposit in Neteller etc. Could always use the voucher right away after they unblocked it.

Needless to say I now no longer bother trying to deposit it in Neteller if I have a voucher just put it straight in casino. If I cash out it always gets paid to my Neteller account anyway so its no hassle.

I would recommend not using Ukash at Betway at all for the time being as this 'voucher voiding' (and no casino credits applied) has happened twice to me, yet at Guts, 32 Red Ukash works fine, every time.

It seems to be when the casino software is in the process of 'contacting Ukash' servers, I'm no expert but quite confident that when the Betway banking pages are 'checking' the code against the one generated at Ukash (when purchasing the voucher in shop) there is some sort of 'conflict' or as previously mentioned, it is being blocked and flagged as a security issue.

Previously on Betway, after entering the code, I'd get a 5-6 second 'Your transaction is being processed by Ukash - Please wait' followed by 'transaction Successful' message.

Now the 'Processing' message goes on for about 20 seconds, followed by the most detailed error message ever seen, namely, 'An Unexpected error has occurred' (very helpful indeed :p) it is at this point that the voucher is 9/10 temporarily voided (until customer has resolved with Ukash direct)

Personal experience has dictated that their CS either don't know, don't care or both! I have spent ages onto CS last fortnight and the 'blame' has been directed at Ukash every time. Strange thing is here tho the vouchers do seem to work at Spin casino?

I have 're-flagged' this issue in an email I sent yesterday, direct to 'management' so hopefully things will work in the near future :)

I was going to say, I've never used Ukash and even though this might not be directly a Ukash issue the stories I am hearing are putting me off considering using them. It all just seems too much hassle.

Is there a specific advantage or benefit to using Ukash that would make me overlook the hassle?

The main plus side is that you can avoid a bank statement (or online account such as paypal etc) showing casino deposits, At one point my bank account was full of transactions, although I was still sticking to a set gaming budget, very embarrassing from my point of view.

It seems UKash now "hate Neteller" as well as an increasing number of casinos. Neteller management needs to yank their heads out of the sand and look into why this is, else it will become even harder to fund Neteller, and those players that manage it will increasingly find themselves treated as pariahs by an increasing number of casinos.

This is the complete opposite of what an increasing number of casinos are trying to steer players towards. A few have removed Neteller as an option, but a more significant number treat Neteller users as pariahs, often grudgingly accepting their custom, but telling them they can only be straight cash players, no bonuses or other promotions for them.

We now have casinos insisting that a withdrawal MUST go out to a bank account, or through a card, rather than Neteller. They clearly intend the transactions to appear on a player's bank or card statements for their own satisfaction, and don't care that this can embarrass some players, even reduce their credit score, and in a worst case scenario, get them fired from their job as a "high risk" of helping themselves to company funds to "feed their habit". It's also something you don't want a prospective employer to find out about in case they use it to mark you down.

Those players who keep their gambling private from spouses and family members always have the fear that one day their bank statement detailing the casino transactions will be seen by the spouse, and cause them relationship problems.

This is often WHY some players will insist on using things like UKash and Neteller. They are not trying to defraud anyone, they just want to keep their hobby private for now.

Some players, like myself, do NOT have to worry as they can tell friends and family about this hobby, and so it will only be a case of finding out what they already know if they were to accidentally glimpse my statements (or my PC desktop).

I have been completely open, but there is STILL some degree of negativity from friends and family, even from some who freely buy lottery tickets and scratch cards (hypocrites, and I always point this out to them ;) ).

I am surprised that UKash are part of the problem, as if it's an 18+ voucher, they should expect it to be spent on one of the vices.

Totally agree VWM, I stick to a weekly budget for 'fun / none essentials' the most of which both me and the wife play various casinos, not out of control and never have been. Also nothing to hide, in fact I like a nice bit of banter with mates over my more successful days. What you say about casinos actually wanting this info on bank statements does slightly concern me however, I will not be looking for loans or overdrafts etc but to be honest I'd prefer it if those transactions were not there or at least infrequent. I t popped into my head that it is possibly loosely related to the UK coming down real heavy on this responsible gaming, unlikely but it would be a way of monitoring maybe more 'at risk' players
