Okay I had a bit of luck over the weekend at tonybet cause the VS battles are not good this weekend. I managed to cash out £900 and got an email tonight saying can you contact live chat, I thought Here we go they are going to pull something out the bag to say NO,
so I opened up live chat and told I was asked to talk, the Live chat person said yeah we need a copy of your ID as we cant open up a case without a new version as yours was processed in 2017,
MHM I thought, so I load up the picture taken freshly for this moment, then they ask me to answer a few questions about my gambling habit and was I happy with them, Have i ever thought of using gamban or any other method to help such as limits or timeouts, I answered best I could.
the person said okay thankyou we will pass this onto to our team and let you know what happens after,

I was a bit worried and and asked what about my withdrawal. the person said "oh thats already been processed and should be in your payment method."
I check and there it was in my account.

Okay correct me if I am wrong but isnt that the way it should be?

Yeah it’s the reasonable casinos that don’t pull fast ones with your withdrawal that will eventually get the full share of the UK market.

Those that piss around withholding withdrawals etc will eventually get kicked to the curb as word of mouth spreads and no-one trusts the casino anymore. It’s why I cannot understand the short sightedness we see in some instances.

Aye, I had similar with CasinoCasino yesterday - had 30 free spins on Aloha at 10p/line. Won £2 from those. And got that £2 up to a £200 withdrawal.

I got a request for updated KYC docs first thing on Sunday morning, cash in the bank account by Sunday evening. @L&L-Jan - props to your team again.

Nope.
If they're going to ask KYC, then it should be before taking your deposit! The rest is just more nannying.
I mail order multiple bottles of Bourbon at a time. I'm never asked or have to prove I don't have a drink problem.

Well that's because the law doesn't state you have to. What a ridiculous comparison.

I joined Tonybet on Saturday and was impressed that they wanted me to complete the KYP and SOW before I was allowed to deposit. I sent off the usual, driving licence, proof of address etc and then today got a questionaire in 'word' format to fill out and send back before I could start depositing and playing. One of the sections asked me if I was 'close to a politically exposed person (PEP) and if so at what capacity? It was at this point that I decided Tonybet is not for me and I asked them to close my account without ever making even one spin. The intrusiveness is out of hand now in my opinion and at this rate I'll be packing the hobby in, which might not be such a bad thing to be honest...oh, and for the record, I'm not close to a PEP....LOL!

Then the law's an ass. Take money before verifying who you are?
I had issues with overreaching KYC several years ago and they wouldn't give me my money back either.

Why is it a ridiculous comparison? If you're happy to be given the spanish inquisition with some Joe deciding if you're doing the right thing then carry on!

Because a condition of their LCCP states they must verify more closely at certain points of the customer journey.
A licensing law does not state they have to verify you are not an alcoholic.
Your name and DOB are verified before you deposit.
They cannot hold money if they could have reasonably requested documentation at an earlier point.

As I said I had been fully verified since 2017.

Thank god I wasn't asked that one. Ever heard of the 5 friend rule? Well for me it would be the 4 friend rule. Landlord UKPM every leader in the world.
