Who you calling a lady?

Sign up bonuses are meant to get a customer in the door. Some are better than others.

IMO a good sign up bonus does not leave me worse off than had I taken no bonus at all. There are a heck of a lot of people don't read the fine print. If you want to play bonuses, you better be prepared to read fine print.

I'm generally more inclined to play again at a casino I've verified docs, got my money in a reasonable time frame, had good support and communication.

So Sign Up bonuses are often +EV (that's Expected Valuation, and I had to look it up once upon a time), but not always. The advantage players the casinos mostly don't want have strageties. I don't want to lose more than I have to, but I'm here to play.

It's rather sad that for so many casinos the SUB is the best bonus you will ever get. The bonus hunter is not coming back anyway, there are a lot of casinos. But some will ban you just because you got lucky (Rival was notorious for this at one point).

I don't actually have to win on a SUB to like a casino. I always ask a lot of questions, sometimes I even ask questions I know the answer to to test the quality of support.

But I will confess a good SUB might get me in the door. I'll give the casino a chance to prove themselves. None of the casinos I play regularly did I win on a SUB, at least not the very first one. I think many casinos offer bonuses on the first 3, 5, whatever deposits.

I rely a lot on the testimonials of other players here at CM too. I have found some casinos that I am very happy with, and I think I've taken a SUB at all of them. I like bonus play, and there's a goal for me. A bonus that doesn't make it worse for me, just the same chance except structured differrently is good. I like a bankroll boost.

Long derail for a simple question already answered

Sign Up Bonus. If you take one, read the rules please. They do come with rules. If you have questions about the rules, either email support or use live chat and save it. Personally, I don't like to deal with financial issues over the phone with no records of who said what.

Almost always when a CM accredited casino offers a little something for a new player, it's a good deal. Read the rules though always, and ask questions if you don't understand.

So many casinos, such a small bankroll.

Do some research for anywhere you want to consider even with a freebie though. There are risks in terms of telemarketing, identify theft, credit card fraud, not to mention SPAM, which is the most likely of the aftershock.

I think if a sign-up bonus leaves you way worse off than had you not taken a bonus, they figure you for a sap, and they will always treat you like a sap. They may even offer you even bigger bonuses with worse terms.

It means In My Opinion.

I saw that one wasn't in the Glossary either, but if you read this thread that goes with it you will find a few , and the most common we see here.
https://www.casinomeister.com/forums/threads/casinomeisters-glossary-the-babelmeister.48200/

As you can see in that thread many of us have a hard time to understand them in the beginning:oops:
I rarily use them for just the reason that many don't know what they means and just will feel stupid for asking.

IMO = In My Opinion
IMHO = In My Honest Opinion
FWIW = For What It's Worth
YMMV = Your Mileage May Vary

These are the 4 most common used I guess. @nishi.

Then you might can explain to me in other words what the last one there means?:)

It means that your experience may be different :p

IE; I could say that The Reel Steal is my favourite NetEnt game and I always manage to hit at least something, but YMMV!

Hope that explains it :D

I looked up the word mileage and it was the same as travel allowance, so you might get why it sometimes is a little hard to understand.

Now I just need to remember it also :D

This may have been covered already.... (havingtrouble going back and loading the thread to check... guess the Awards filled up the forum LOL)...

Anyway... the meaning will sometimes pop up if you hover your mouse over them... at least it will in IE.
