Hi

Just a quick thank you to Bryan for organising the drinks in Waxys after ICE on Tuesday night. It was great as a small player and fan of the site to get together and chat with some operators and affiliates about the industry from their perspective.

I was a little worse for wear after the endless drinks given out at the show and woke up Weds with sore feet and nursing a mega hangover.

Thanks to KasinoKing for the long chat and the boys at 32RED (Pat H and Mark) for making me feel so welcome and their patience in answering my endless questions (I am quite an inquisitive sort). These guys are real genuine people who care about customer care.

Hope you all enjoyed the show and maybe look forward to seeing you again next year.

Raj

Nice post Raj.

And I second your comments on the 32Red folks: stand-up guys and -- from my point of view as the point man on complaints hereabouts -- one of the cleanest operations around.

PS. @Raj: hope you don't mind that I supplemented the thread title a bit. It helps folks find the thread if some of the subject matter is in the title.

Sounds like you had a great time mixing business with pleasure, which is one of the things I like most about the entertainment industry. One of these days, I might attend a bash.

While making friends and influencing people, did you indulge in chit-chat with any Fortune Group folks? There is a lot going on over there, but not a peep in the forums.

Well be sure to get down to a CAP event soon.

..

CAP? I'll be in the corner taking bets on the side. Sounds like all the action is coming in the door-no need to attend the event. Reminds me of Christmas on Gaddy Hill (my home).

Likewise thanks to Bryan and Clubworld for the drinks at Waxys.

Many apologies for being extremely drunk - personally I blame the pills I am on to give up smoking!

Big apology to Mark from 32Red for being a bit of a tit later in the evening. I'll shout you the beers at the next gathering.

Thanks to Graham from 32Red for getting me back to my hotel safely.

As always the ICE is up there as one of my favourite industry gatherings to meet up with old friends and make new ones.

It was really cool to finally meet Max as well after all this time.

I'd also like to thank GreedyGirl for the meal on the Wednesday. As always GG you are a star :)

Finally, thanks to Bryan, Spear, JetSet and Simmo for spending the weekend in my home town of Bath. Really good to catch up with you all in a different yet relaxed environment. Hope you all got home safely. I'm up for us all visiting Spear in Bangkok next time :)

Hi Patrick, it was great to meet you - I hope the journey back wasn't too difficult, we all had quite a lot of beers!

Hey mate, no need to apologise. We'd all had a few drinks... problem is, I don't have an excuse! I would also blame the smoking pills but, erm, I didn't take any. My excuse? The free bar from Clubworld!

My apologies to Graham from 32Red.. by the time he got back from taking Webzcas home, the rest of the 32Red gang had all eaten the Chinese!

It was good to meet you all. Roll on the next bash. :)

I do not think you were more drunk than many others, but maybe you got there a little quicker:) I would love to have joined you, but I kept back in the start since I wanted to talk to most of the people while they were at the pub. I was nice to meet you there after knowing you for years through the forum. You got to know some interesting stuff about
people also. I did not know about Max past as a high-stake FL poker player :) Would love to hear more about if we meet again.

If some of you ever come to Denmark (Aarhus, second largest City) you can give me a tell and I can buy you some beers and advice you about Aarhus.

In the casino industry section I made a small post about my experience in London, so read it there so I do not have to repeat it in this post.

Thanks all - but the real thanks go to you (the members) and to Club World who made the event possible.

And a big thanks to these two blokes - they gave one heck of a performance. :D

I'll be covering this in the upcoming newsletter :D

Wow, a whole six inches of snow, lol. They'd never survive in Canada...last year we had somewhere in the neighbourhood of six feet over the course of the winter. And this winter is on track to be close to that I'd say. Course, I guess it's all relative, if you're not equipped to deal with it.

YUP, 6 inches of snow and London grinds to a halt......more than half the staff in my office havent made it to work today. Trains cancelled, roads gridlocked....I guess we could learn a lot from Canada.

Still I cant imagine a better place to be snowed into for 3 days than the ICE exhibition....think of all that free beer and hot dogs plus the odd fruitmachine and table game to keep you amused.:D

LOL... apparently Jetset and I escaped just in time, as we flew out Sunday afternoon - but the temperature had dropped dramatically overnight and for the first time that trip I was freezing cold (ask the muppet, he wouldn't lend me some of his felt hide to keep my fingers warm).
