Hi ,
In the last 2 weeks or so my online casino slot games have been spinning in slow mo of hanging until I move my cursor over the reels and then will spin but always in slow motion. I have had on line chat with the casino but they don't know why. I have uninstalled and reinstalled but no better. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated . Microgaming casino.
Thanks in advance

What is your internet speed? Do a speed test, here:

You do not have permission to view link Log in or register now.

I remember last year while my broadband line (physical) was being re-laid I had to use a mobile internet dongle and experience exactly what you are talking about now. It was infuriating.

Do you have an older computer (like 2 or 3 years or more)? You may need to update your video card (graphics card).

Thanks guys for the suggestions.
H1_Roller ping is73 d/l speed is slower atm but 4.03 and u/l speed 0.25
ksech my system is only 8 months old.
It has always been lightening speed before just don't know what happened. I am the only that uses this pc.
Very frustrating but thanks anyway. Keep up the good work :)

It may be MG then. I know others have had issues with slot speeds before (especially after updates to MG). Maybe someone will drop in and can give you their "fix".

Thinking back, a pop up 'game launcher has stopped working " would appear but still work. I tried to google about game launcher but no real info. Thought i may have to reinstall it but couldn't find much info on it. Maybe?

I still get this regularly with MG casinos. I click [OK] and then the casino shuts down, but it easily reopens.
I do also get slots spinning slowly (or sometimes uncomfortably quick) from time to time, but not constantly. The internet speed was all I could think of as I'm not tech-savvy, and your results seem fine. Sorry I can't be anymore help. :(

My paid antivirus is working ok and has not alerted me to any suspicious activity.
I received an email from Spin Palace suggesting it was "caused by internet traffic and the signal is not being relayed to my software"and was out of their control. It's really frustrating because they have 3 games that I love and all my banking with them is better than anywhere else I have tried. Just dissappointed BIG time.. Any soloution out there ???

They don't know this, but are using this as an easy way to blame someone else.

Most problems are down to the Microgaming software, rather than the individual operator.

Updates are often "dirty", which is why "uninstall and reinstall" often gets suggested, and sometimes even works.

The main problem is that Microgaming is "bloatware", and grows at least once a month. This means that it quickly outgrows a PC, and whilst it may have worked fine before, performance can get worse each month.

Some updates seem to contain major overhauls, and this is where the REAL problems start. First, they are "dirty", and fail to "take out the trash after they finish decorating". This means that the software is forever tripping over parts of the previous "decor", and thus making mistakes, and even crashing.

A simple uninstall and reinstall is no good, as what is needed is a COMPLETE clearout, which is NOT done by the uninstaller.

This involves removing EVERY MGS casino, and then removing ALL the leftovers in the folders. Even that isn't everything, there is a VAST "common" area that can hold several GIGABYTES of "data in common", and this can have a fair bit of "trash" hanging around too. This needs to be cleared completely. Lastly, the registry keys need to be removed, so that a reinstall is forced to recreate them from scratch, rather than reuse the old ones that may hold some corrupt values left over from earlier Viper versions that are overriding those needed for the new version.

When this is done, download and install ONE Microgaming casino, and let it install COMPLETELY. This should populate the main Microgaming registry keys and the "data in common" with ONLY the most up to date and revelant data, and hopefully no "trash". Once this is done, and seems to work fine, install the rest of the MGS casino.

Try to do this OUTSIDE of the period where MGS naturally sends out updates for the new games each month.

If this does not work, THEN start to think about upgrading hardware, or even getting a new and faster PC.

ok i have all casinos deinstalled then deleting the big MGS folder and all registry keys deleted! after that one casino installed completley with the MGS folder ca. 11 Gigabyte (WOW):what:

after that clean installation i install 1 or 2 other microgaming casinos and the problem is no matter which casino crashed with >game launcher has detected an error< or >game launcher has stoped working< all casinos start new download everything!

i'm pretty sure that error (Game Launcher has encountered a problem and was stopped) is for me maximal 20 months old !!

from time to time i get that error in the casino software. most time when i closing the software!!!

for me its meanwhile a Mysterium:confused:

I have the slow spinning reels too, I decided to go back to a mg casino today and this happened, what a let down so I withdrew as I had to keep moving my mouse to speed up the reels, I came to play not too work!,lol

I also have this slow motion problem with MG.It began when were launched the new slots .I've made all the reset, controls, unistall, reinstall, talked with various supports, and so on. Maybe the casinos are "too heavy" having such a great number of "sophisticated", 3D, cinema, exclusive, animated new slots.

For example, today I played in that game with witches, don't remember the name, it gave me the arrow...OMG it took 10 minutes to turn, and stop. When it gave me the bonus , I was like ipnotized, while the witch was joyfully flying in the sky twice:drink:

Too much stressing

I have had this occasionally, and it seems pretty random. I have also noticed that in Witches Weath, the arrow spins very slowly.

This could be down to lack of power in the video processing capacity of the PC, and the solutions are to max out the RAM, and maybe get a more powerful graphics/video card, with more on board memory.

When the video card can't cope, the processor in the PC has to take on the load, and some of the RAM on the motherboard also has to be diverted to processing the video. This leaves less RAM and processing power for the software, including all the background tasks.

A similar problem is encountered by video gamers, and they often install high end graphics cards in order to keep the load on the PC processor to a minimum, and which have enough onboard RAM to not need to take a portion of the RAM on the motherboard.

Where RAM is overloaded, Windows will use the hard drive as an overflow, and this can REALLY slow things down, since a drive is much slower than RAM. Windows decides which data goes to RAM, and which to the hard drive paging file - and this is not necessarily the best option for the software concerned.

MGS casinos are now so bloated that they are probably too big to load entirely in RAM, and thus occupy part of the paging file.

I have noticed that when running MGS, my processor utilisation hits 100%, and the PC becomes very slow or unresponsive. I have also noticed that my fan speeds up when playing some games, and this means that these games are placing a heavy load on the processor, enough to heat it up enough to trigger the fan to speed up.

My PC used to run MGS casinos very smoothly, but over the last couple of years the strain is beginning to tell, and the PC no longer copes well. It was not even a "starter" model, but the top specification available before you went into the dedicated "gaming" range of PCs.

I am going to try some upgrades, but eventually I will have to get a new and much faster PC, and consign this one to "admin" tasks.

after the last crash i found that file ( 25d_appcompat.txt - 60Kilobyte small )

know not if I can post it or may ?
