Slot spin delays/spoilers, why is this a thing?

Please do not read on if you don't want to know when you will receive a win or not on certain providers...

So, I would be interested to hear from slot developers why this is actually a thing, I'm not sure it started happening more recently, but several providers have now slot delays which spoils if you are getting a win or not.

Examples:

Hacksaw:

If it dosen't immediatly spin (or stop button dosent appear straight away) you have received a deadspin. If it spins in the reels straight away, you know you have hit a win of some sort. Funny thing/sad thing is, that even if you hit a mini feature and it spun slowly , you know it's a 0x win..
On the other hand, if they spin instantly and you are getting 2 freespins symbols you could potentially know that you win freespins, unless you hit a line win of course..

Quickspin:

Hah, quickspin ironically has the same issue, so it's more like slow spin. If it dosen't almost immediatly (can be a bit slower) it's a deadspin.

Nolimit:

Now they have exactly the same issue as the other two, slow spin = deadspin. BUT to make things even worse, they seem to spoil even if you have an ongoing win. Take Fire in the Hole as an example.

You can there hit a win, TNT and it would spin as normal. HOWEVER, if on the next cascade there is a slight delay you know you have not hit a win/tnt. So really spoilersish and quite frustrating to watch.

Can someone explain, why this is a thing? Why do some slot providers have no delays, while other have it?

Yes you are 100% correct. I’ve posted about this very thing in the past.

On the other hand, the video poker game I play does the opposite. If it replaces the discarded cards immediately, I know I have a losing hand. A micro delay and I’ve got a winning hand.

Ya I noticed that tell with hacksaw ,if you land 2 scatters and you don't see a win you know a third scatter is going to land.microgaming have a megaways where the bonus round music starts playing at the beginning of the spin so even if you don't land 1 scatter on the initial drop you know they are going to drop in

Novomatic, depending on the platform:
A winning spin will be much faster deducted from your balance and also spins in slightly faster.
A winning spin will have a "skip" when you get it the first time. Not anymore after that, so it's only a temporary tell

Either way a losing spin will always spin in slightly slower.

Play'n'Go:
I don't know about the regular reel games but the gridders will drop in the symbols faster when there's a win or mini feature like an instability on Reactoonz.

I fricking hate this so much it ruins the fun for me cause it’s the only
Providers I play

Its only if there is no delay in the spin which means you get a win and if you land 2 scatters and don't see a win the win is going to be the 3rd scatter dropping in
I finally noticed this tonight. I was actually looking for it and could tell when the third scatter was going to land when there was no delay at the start of the spin. This was after seeing a million two scatter teases prior.
