So it was my birthday and i was gonna meet some friends in town to celebrate. While waiting for them i found 2 euros in my pocket and decided to quickly walk into a small casino and put it on my birthday number @ the roulette wheel. Then some maroccan dude comes up to me and starts chatting how he figured out the roulette wheel. Beeing a sceptical person when it comes to money making systems, i did not believe him of course but i decided what the heck, i will give him the 2 euros and either he makes a fool out of himself or he turns out to be a genius :D

The guy observes 2 spins and starts talking to himself like "ah number 12 so the opposite of the wheel is there and blabla ok ill put it on 23"
For 4 consecutive spins, his guess is spot on. The fifth spin, he guess is off by 1 (neighbour on the wheel). At this point he turned my 2 euros into 140 and my friends call me to say they are in town. I decided to give him half of the winnings and go for drinks

Later on i realised the odds of someone guessing the correct number 4/5 times in a row is insanely small. But these streaks do happen.. what do you think? Was he immensely lucky or is it possible the guy spotted an imperfection in the wheel? And would you have allowed him to play on with your money? He was pushing to bet the entire amount every spin

probably it was bias wheel, wheel with imperfection, today it cant happen,or small chance, but since it was smaller casino then probably it was old bias wheel

If it was a bias wheel, this Moroccan guy would not need to have played with someone else's €2. I can't tell you how many times I've got close to a roulette wheel and people have approached me saying that they've figured the whole thing out.

The scheme is basically them getting a freeroll - the times their numbers hit, they usually get a piece of the profit. If they miss, then they come up with some excuse and walk off

the morrocan was half of the team you were the mark [ however a short on cash one] the othe half was runing the game if they won you over than you would have bet a larger amount and lost

they were probably using earth magnets

if thats true why wouldn't they bet a larger amount and won? than they split 3 ways, losing only the casino would of won in my opinion

because the casino or person in charge at the time of the crime to be [has to make shure that the only looser is the mark]

that being said these guys here may be new at implementing this trick and op was lucky that they hadent honed there skills at it to a higher level [to hood wink him]

Fairly common experience you had there.

He probably just had a bit of luck on his side and some dealers tend to spin sections if you watch them carefully. I've seen it hundreds of times where they tell you to play a number or neighbors and claim a percentage of the profit. Sometimes the player is impressed and the free roller doesn't need to claim anything at all - people willfully part with their money :)

A few things to note:

1. Why does he bother helping others if he knows what number is going to land?
2. He should have made a killing by now with his inside knowledge.
3. Unless its wheel bias, there is no way to predict the exact number. I have had dealers spin the same number on 4 consecutive spins.
5. It is possible to spin sections or neighbors.

Thanks nate for sharing your thoughts, but the machine was an automatic one without a real dealer/croupier. You can see the ball rolling but everything is closed for human interaction. I also thought about why he wouldnt have his own bankroll.. if we assume for a minute that his strategy works somehow, it still doesnt guarantee a profit on the short term, and a possibility would be that he blew his own bankroll despite having found a working strategy

If his "strategy" of guessing the right Roulette number would work for as little of 5% of the time, he'd be a millonaire and/or banned from the casino by now. If you can get a 35:1 payout every 20 spins (5%) you're getting RICH and you're certainly NOT showing off to a total stranger.

After four spins you would have had 280, not 140 unless I'm missing something.
Or do u mean 140 for you and 140 for the dude..?

He was pushing to bet the entire amount every spin

To me, this is the key point.
I think if you had let the guy convince you to put the whole amount on the second spin and it had come in he'd have stopped after the 2 spins and be looking for his cut of the proceeds, because your 2 euros would have become 2592 euros in 2 spins!

Because you wouldn't do that, the total built up really slowly so he had to hang in spin after spin (while constantly trying to get you to up the bet)
