Data protection for a start. I have moved 3 times since my Betfair address was last updated. My Paddypower account was only registered about 2 years ago at my current address. If they have linked the accounts, then the BF one should be suspended for having wrong details. If not, then the games shouldn't be linked. Theres nothing in their privacy policy I can see that allows them to share a customer's information with BTG, therefore the game sessions shouldn't be linked.
As for the first point, you would be moaning like buggery if casinos never exercised due diligence in regards to identifying common accounts.
The terms also require you to maintain your details if anything changes.
Under the DPA they would be well within their rights to cross-reference details when there is a business or security reason to do so.
