SPINTROPOLIS - winnings from pure cash being confiscated?

So I signed up and played at a casino (won't mention the name for now) and never touched a bonus. I never take bonuses because I don't like the hassle that comes with them.

I made a few back to back deposits of €50 and eventually hit a nice little win of about €800 +/-. I requested a withdrawal and heard nothing from the casino. I reversed my withdrawal and lost a bit back. I did this a few times. Eventually I reversed the last €500 and played a little silly and did a few bigger bets of €20. The stars must have been aligned just right because i hit a bonus and won about €3,500! I was so happy!

I requested the withdrawal and and heard nothing from the casino. I asked them on chat a few days later and they said i needed to KYC. Sent docs in right away and a couple days later my account was verified.

Still no news on the withdrawal. I went back to chat and they said we now need to do phone verification. They called me and verification was complete.

Later that night I get an email saying my withdrawal was denied. I logged in and all my winnings were confiscated and €100 was left in my account. i went back to chat and they said i broke terms. Even though I was playing with 100% pure cash and never touched a bonus once.
They say that i cannot bet more than 30% of the deposit. The way I see it, i reversed my withdrawals instead of depositing. So that final reversal of €500 was what I was playing with.
I know that in the UK it's illegal to restrict cash in any way, even if a bonus is active. Unfortunately the casino I played at isn't a UKGC or MGA casino.

What are your thoughts on this? I know I'll get some slack for not reading terms up front, but i never once experienced a casino that has terms restricting pure cash play. €3,500 is a pretty sizable sum, especially at this time of year.
Any advice or help?

Sorry, I didn't read your post to the end as I saw the operator of the casino. Yeah, they have the catch22 clause in their terms.

After having ready the poggs listing on this casino, seems if they're willing to totally ignore and disregard the MGA enforcement notice about the same non bonus play, this 3.5k is as good as gone.

Are you aware of anyone every having any luck against the odds and getting paid out anyway?

@krepar I dont know how long you have been playing but me about 2 years and it sounds like your going through similar to what i went through.

You dont just have to watch out for Curacao licences. There are many who seem straight up and legit who will use this tactic. I had two very similar experiences. I found Casinomeister and stuck to the list and keep my ears to the forum. Unless something goes rogue over night your in safe hands.

Nothing worse than winning and then a company employ this tactic. Complete Bandits.

I would put this down to experience. Maybe one day the forum will arrange a trip with group flights to the Caribbean and we can all visit these casinos.

Nope, never heard that anyone would get paid after confiscation.

They are counting your last EUR50 deposit as the measure for the 30% which is then EUR15. You said you did EUR20 bets, so in their view over the limit.

I would be very surprised that this group, who is known to scam players on much smaller infractions, to change their decision in your case.

I've been playing for several years. I've played many, many casinos. Even come across some decent and honest Curacao brands. Even back in the days when I used bonuses, I never once had a win confiscated. So for it to happen now years after I claimed my last bonus is just a right kick in the teeth. I didn't need the money to put food on the table and it's not going to cripple me, but still stings to have that much confiscated based on disgusting and predatory terms.

There is a similar complaint in another forum where they responded and the guy got paid.
He never made bets above that limit though, but if you didn't either then you have a chance.
Google the casinos name with Complaint after and you'll find it.

@krepar just out of curiosity why did you decide to play with them in the first place since you state it's not the bonus you are after?

I think you may be referring to the one on AG? where the player bought a bonus round.

Based on their intended interpretation of the rule, my bet was 40% of the last deposit made and not 30%. But still so disgusting to restrict cash that way.

I've played many casinos and cycle through them by closing them for a couple of months and moving somewhere else. They had what looked like a good selection of games.

That case was small fry, 350EUR not 3.5K. That way they keep the good rating on AG.

But worth a try, who knows, they might discover a honest string in their hair. :D

The only good reason would be because the rule and their rogue behaviour needs to get out so people will know.
Just like this thread probably should have that awful casino name in the title of this thread.

Yes, the address this shower use is one we have in the past exposed as being associated with GS/GameTech etc. As thePOGG says. I would recommend anyone reading this avoids them.
