Good day Meister people!

During last 2 days, I received 3 emails about NDB and registration bonus in Loco Panda casino.

Even tough I unsubscribed every time i received an email - they keep spamming my mailbox.

I even reported this case to their ISP.

I wanted to know who is sending those email, still, the live support was not quite helpful:

Please wait for a site operator to respond.

You are now chatting with 'Jennifer'

Jennifer: Thank you for playing at Loco Panda, my name is Jennifer. How can I help you?

you: Hi Jennifer, I would like to know where did your casino, or it's affiliate found my email

you: DUring last 2 days I received 3 different emails about your casino, even tough I am not subscribed neither to your promo emails, neither to your affiliate's promo emails

you: So, I would just like to know how did these emails end up in my mailbox?

you: This is the reference URL: Link Removed ( Old/Invalid)

you: So you can manage to find the affiliate registered with this tracking code

Jennifer: Just a moment please.

you: Sure thing, tako your time

you: I will have to go away from the keayboard, I will be back in 5 minutes, take your time, but please give me a reasonable answer.

Jennifer: Please find unsubscribe button in your e-mail

you: Jennifer, I did it....TWICE!!

you: Still, I received another email from the same IP provider

you: So, It is not what I need, I did not ask where tu unsubscribe, but WHERE did you get my email/

Jennifer: The email you received was not sent directly from the casino and is most likely from a mailing list you have signed up for through a casino related website or forum. Therefore the information the email contains is not always 100% accurate or pertaining to your account as we don't let other websites access your personal information. If an email is coming from us, you will see that the domain is @locopanda.com, if it is any different, you know it is not an official Loco Panda email. If you wish to unsubscribe from the emails being sent, please contact those sending the emails, or check for a removal link in the emails themselves.

Please correct me if I have no solid case here, but getting the same email almost twice a day is very annoying.

I am looking for your opinion on how to make them STOP spamming me.

Thanks,
JJ

I am looking for your opinion on how to make them STOP spamming me.
I'm afraid the answer is - you can't.
I get literally dozens of spam mails every single day - many of them are even promoting CM Accredited casinos :eek2:
And I have NEVER opted in to ANY casino mailing lists EVER with any of my e-mail addresses.
None of them are being sent directly by the casinos... well - not that you can detect - I'm sure some casinos do set up these "third party" sites themselves to do the spamming (Cough - Palace Group), the rest are being sent by dweeb-brain affiliates.

Un-subscribing simply does not work.
The only answer is a good spam filter - or just keep hitting that "Delete Message" button...

KK

Pretty much the same way you would stop the sun from raising every morning.
Unfortunately there are lots and lots of affiliates, that don't give a rats ass about spamming, as long as just one person click their links, and they can make a few cents, and it appears that the casinos they spam for, are quite happy about it as well.
Filter your e-mails, and forget about it. Spam has been around since the beginning of e-mail, and will most likely be around til the end of e-mail.
And I agree 100%, it's NOT cool.

i can relate to this im getting so much spam mail now its getting to the point i cant be bothered delating them :)

Clicking "unsubscribe" in emails from dickweed spammers like this is the same as sending them an email saying "I check this email all the time and have read your spam, so please send me some more and tell your spammer buddies about me too".

Just block it in your email program, and alert your ISP and the casino management (don't be surprised if they don't give a toss).

Anything else is a waste of your time. At the end of the day, if it gets blocked and/or sent to your deleted items without you seeing it, then don't sweat it......let's face it, they already have your details, and the only way they'll get any more information about you is if you interact with them.

A shotgun approach is used to send much spam. If you have a name in your email... Like Mike123@yahoo.uk, you will get spam that is also sent to Mike1, Mike2, Mike 36, etc.

Clicking unsubscribe just lets them know you are a live address, and your email address rises in value to sell to other spammers.

My tenant has never joined an online casino or forum, and she gets casino spam, as well as offers for viagara and porn.

As you can see from this thread, all of us have experienced your frustration and anger at being bombarded with unwanted spam, JJ - but as others have said above it's a not-very-nice element that goes with using the internet.

What I find especially irritating in your case is the fact that Loco Panda Casino really doesn't seem to give a damn, even though you were able to give them a link that may have enabled them to identify the affiliate responsible and warn him or her.

Just shrugging the matter off and saying it's an affiliate shouldn't cut it from an operator perspective - they could at least show willing to assist.

Quick derail here.....

Imagine meeting Mr Peabody and Sherman and getting them to take you back to 1987 in the wayback machine, and asking a woman "Has your inbox had been spammed lately?"

Funny how the world changes eh??? :p

(Seventh77....this one was for you mate :D )

MOST accredited casinos don't condone spam - I've received spam mails for several casinos and reported them directly to the affiliate programs (or sometimes the rep) and it stops. I find it really annoying that some (ahem) places figure it's ok to spam the h*ll out of us if they put an unsubcribe link in the mails. If you didn't subscribe in the first place, it's spamming and the affiliates should be given one warning and then shut down.

For the rogue or borderline rogue casinos, you really can't do much except delete.

You realise that the poor sod who owns mike123@yahoo.co.uk is now going to get loads more spam than ever before...
:)

I get a ton of spam (approx 200 a day) but I've done two things to counteract it so now it just doesn't really cause me an issue.

Firstly, I use a hotmail address for any casino playing accounts and etailers I don't know. Hotmail is pretty good at de-junking and most of the other stuff it doesn't catch I don't care about anyway so it's usually very quick to just run my eyes down the Inbox for anything important. I see a ton of Casino Rewards stuff every day in the junk filter :D

For personal stuff, friends and places I trust I use my personal account at BT. They have a good spam filter actually however I added Spam Arrest about 6 years ago and virtually nothing spammy gets through at all. In fact - maybe 2 or 3 a week tops! A few legit ones get caught in the spam trap but Spam Arrest issues a challenge so the real people normally get through and again, I run my eyes over the spam box subjects once a day just to make sure. Takes seconds.

Overall, spam is no longer a time-eater for me :)

I can't believe it still works actually.

PMSL - Seventh777 doing his bit to keep ladies inboxes full since the creation of e-mail :D.

I got the 'Loco Panda' one a couple of times and burst out laughing at such a ridiculous name for a casino.

Agreed with what everyone else has said... No point clicking 'unsubscribe' as they just come back ten-fold!

Thanks for the tip - I might give that a try!

I was using SpamFighter which was totally fine for 6-months - but then in June suddenly it started doing something VERY strange;
On just ONE of my many e-mail addresses it started completely deleting any e-mails it identified as spam, instead of moving them to the special "spam folder" it created. They did not get sent to my "deleted items" folder either.

I tried all the fixes they suggested - including un-installing & re-installing a couple of times - but nothing worked.
They also could not tell me where these deleted mails had gone - it seems they were completely removed from existence - this was very annoying, because I know some non-spam mails were also affected and lost forever.

You'd be much better off reporting it to the affiliate program rather than the casino cs. Had a quick look and loco panda is revenue jet who have an anti spam policy here:

Link Removed ( Old/Invalid)

Shoot them an email at the address on that page explaining and include the tracking link

Still s*cks

Thank you for your assistance guys!

The fact that I can't get rid of them still s*cks...

Even tough I felt better when I realized that I am not alone, I still feel like being abused by non-responsible, so-called affiliates and new wannabe casinos.

Does ACTA have anything to do with this case (email/spam/privacy)?

Although, I am not active forum member, I look forward fighting these things, so your support means a lot :)

Thanks again!
