I have looked high and low and cant find what i have often heard of as "The Take Down". Does this exist, when a player has made a deposit and is up on the casino a bit, but not enough to cashout, then whammy, the slots or game your playing suddenly seems like it switches gears and you cant go anywhere but down?

IF this term does exist please let me know, just to ease my mind, i know ive heard this someplace or maybe this is just a slang word for poker or blackjack, not slots ,i just want to know...........laurie:)

Isn't it a slang term related to a sting? (as per the movie The Sting)

The take down is when the sting is sprung...don't know of any gambling relation though

Woooof

RE:

I've heard the term before...From what I gather, "take down mode" refers to the belief that the casino allows you to win so much and then takes back everything including your deposit in one swift action. I've also heard it referenced to the belief that your past wins/losses determine future wins/losses. "I won a bunch of money last time and I'm losing my ***, the casino must be in "takedown mode"."

I'm pretty sure I've heard the term in this forum. Not positive though.

When you suddenly go 500 spins without a bonus round and all you are hitting is blanks, spin after spin, then finally you get that message that you do not have enough money to make that bet, please go to the cashier, the casino is in the "Take Down Mode". ;)
