Hi,

I hesitated for a while on whether to write this post or if it was completely pointless… However, I ‎decided to publish my thoughts and say what’s on my mind.‎

During the past months, I’ve contemplated whether to write Bryan and ask him to close my account ‎and to tell him that I’ll no longer will be responding to any posts or PM’s. ‎

I’ve been pretty active here during the past 2 years and this forum is of great importance and help to ‎us. We get many comments- improve things and getting better as time goes by. It helps us and the ‎players a lot. ‎

As I see it, that is the main goal of this forum. Guarding players is the close target, but the higher goal is ‎to ensure that online gambling becomes better, more safer, etc….‎

Yet, on each thread, there are “free riders” whose only purpose is to blow off steam just for the hell of ‎it. It’s easy since no one knows who you are, no one sees you and you don’t really have to stand ‎behind your words. Their posts are completely incorrect, not based on any actual facts and made for ‎the sole purpose of hearing/seeing themselves speak. True? False? It doesn’t matter!‎

They make these “post’s” expecting not to be confronted. Yet the moment that they are- they can’t ‎stand up behind their words and disappear only to come up on another thread with the same ‎comment. ‎

Just to make it clear: By making those posts you’re not helping to “guard” players in anyway, the only ‎thing that you are doing is making sure is that more and more Rep’s will leave the forum and the ‎others to stop treating it seriously. ‎

Finally, I have no problem with criticism. It’s the best tool we have to learn and improve ourselves, but ‎I have to admit that to deal with all these unnecessary posts, instead of actually answering/solving the ‎problem, is quite frustrating and takes out all of the desire to come back here again…‎

Such is the nature of the Industry. We are all Human and tend to have different tolerance levels.

Is there a particular post made towards you or possibly the brands you represent in order for you to have made this post?

I dont play at any of these sites that the OP represents, however, I think he is mild in his /her critisism of some folks here on the forum.
Without any proof whatsover, some folks holler cheat, robbers, crooks etc.
Yet these are the same folks who continue to play at sites they condemn.

Another thing I would like to ask here.....For those who are always BITCHING about Casino spams, who and at what forum do you write and whine and moan about the extenze spams, viagra spams, lottery winner spams in Nigeria,
dating spams, medical school spams etc just to name a few. For those of you who dont know there is an EMPTY button on the spam or junk folder. All you need to do is click on it and presto the spam is gone till the next day

My suggestion would be a little well-placed use of the "Report Post" facility:

Attach Removed (Old not found)

My point being that if someone is ruining your forum experience with bull-crap posts then we should know about it. If they get reported often enough -- as in it's obviously a habit of the person(s) in question -- then we'll know it's a problem and if needs be do something about it.

This is a big site and most days we've got a lot of work on our plate. 9 times out of 10 we won't know about it if it isn't brought to our attention. You'd be doing yourself and us a favour by using that "Report Post" button.

*confused* Isn't this what an open forum is all about? With people from all around the globe, you will have X amount of differing opinions/views on a topic. Most of the older posters have experienced most scenarios which have occurred and fallback on that experience to help another member from making the same mistakes.

I think as "adults" (most of us anyways :D) we like when a rep will become active in a thread. Although, depending on topic and whether or not the rep actually makes an honest to goodness attempt to remedy the problem, some will be more prone to always show the negativity. There are many, many, MANY threads where it would have been nice for a rep to become active, it shows the player community that the casino is concerned enough about its player base to try to work out a solution, but when no rep contributes players feel frustrated and become hostile in written thoughts.

We may not always agree with the outcome, but it all falls back to the casinos decisions. We understand that reps are NOT Gods, and that in some instances their hands are tied. Personally, I would rather a rep become active in a thread than to completely ignore the issue at hand. And I think when other reps get involved in a thread outside their perspective casino/group isn't so bad (unless they are being hostile and non productive with their posts).

Every day I can scroll down and count 20-30 or more casino reps who have logged in. BUT, when scrolling through threads, maybe 2-5 of those reps are actually active, participating members. Yes, the boards have their favorite reps (as can be seen through positive comments about the reps' ability to deal with players issues, deal with any problems that arise), and this is usually for good reason.

So, with all my jibber-jabber, I guess the question in my mind is this...
If you feel the forum is non-productive with a few "know-it-alls", this would be enough for you to withdraw your representation of your casino(s)? I'm sorry, but IMO, it doesn't say too much for the integrity of the group who has hired you to represent them.

Maybe submitted proof of a casinos wrong doing would work?

Unsure.

A forum that wholly welcomes casino reps would be more able to handle casino issues.

But... I have seen other forums that have went down this path (an ISP forum) and they ended up being a forum *for* reps and not for the people.

The rules became so harsh that you get banned for saying anything negative about their companies.

I wouldn't like to see CM end up this way.

On the other hand I would really like to see some help for the casino reps as well.

This is the point of the forum. If someone comes in with unfounded or false accusations then this forum will point that out and the poster will either admit their error or look foolish in most cases.

What would the point be of suppressing people's opinions?

Your brands seem to get hammered quite a bit. Perhaps you should talk to your operators and have them change the ridiculous cashout policies. Only $500 per week and declining the rest of the cashout doesn't give most gamblers a warm, fuzzy feeling about you. The max cashout rip off on the free chip fiasco is a ridiculous display of roguedom by your operators. They robbed that person of a lot of money. Your ridiculous terms of your bonuses could be changed also, if someone wants to play table games you only allow 3 or 4 games to be played and they are all only 25% contributors. So you say something like "35x wagering" but the truth is that it is 140x wagering. Stop all that non sense and people may start saying good things about your joints

BUT, trying to stop people from posting their complaints is not the way to go. fixing your issues and trying to get accredited would be the path to take.

To be a Rep has got to be hard. You have to deal with alot of crap, and still try to be professional and friendly, eventhough posters are not always friendly or truthful.

With that being said, I do believe it comes with the territory. Just like in everyday life, we all deal with bull crap. Only difference is, being a Rep, you need to maintain a professional level of behavior. I myself have been guilty of making fun of the the casino group you represent. I have had all my accounts closed with this group for a little bit now.

Eventhough my accounts have been closed for a bit now, I still get the spam, about 40 to 50 e-mails a week from some one for all of the casinos in this group. Do I think Danielg has anything to do with it? No I don't, and I don't hold them personally responisble for it.

I do think however, Daniel does try to hard to be helpful and get things resolved. But I just read a thread within the past few days where another rep from another group was taking "digs" at Daniel's group. I was a little stunned, and do not think it was called for. But this other Rep has the right to post their opinion just like everyone else.

My advice to you Danielg, take the insulting posts with a grain of salt and move on. Some posts do warrent a repsonse, some don't. Pick and chose the ones you respond to and don't let the others hinder the way you do your job. Most of the times the are just angry players venting out of frustration.

All the best,
LH

This just makes me think of when we ran the beta on our software. Every other poker tournament we had, someone would call and say, "I just got folded automatically. WTF?" Well, every time it happened it was a fire alarm. We'd talk to the player, read the hand histories, ask people at the table, compare time sheets, and you know what? The first ten times or so it turned out they'd been distracted and ran out of time. They meant to raise but had got up to get a beer, or they were high, or on the phone, or something. Seriously, it always panned out to that. This incredibly basic thing; your turn to act, there's a timer right next to your avatar... but what it boiled down to was that we didn't have a big sign that said "AWAY" when they ran out of time. Well, now we do.

And we didn't stop taking their complaints seriously. Before the away sign, we delegated someone to handle these types of questions who was diligent and serious about every single concern. And about the tenth time, something really odd did happen, and guess what, turned out there was a bug in the software when the big blind tried to re-raise on the option when the blinds were going up in the next round; and it's damn good we caught it.

My point is that every complaint should always be taken seriously; every customer, whether you know them or not, should be treated like a person worthy of respect; and it's the rep's job to do exactly that. Yeah it gets to be a major drag...every job does. But like you say it's all about improving, and you're not going to find the diamonds if you don't look carefully at every piece of glass.
