Hi all

OK so I've just been playing Kong on Playtech. Decent enough but it gives me a problem: I can't use an incremental betting strategy because the jumps between bets are just too big: $2, $5, $10, $20.

I don't enjoy flat-betting for long because when a slot feels cold I want to go down, but not too much that i feel like shite if the big one lands. Conversely, if it feels warm I want to bet a bit higher, but not so much that I can no longer afford to do Christmas

Kong's bets are based purely on Coin Size rather then the mix of Coin Size and Coins Per Line that give the flexibility. So, what I want to know is, am I alone or does this affect the way you play too because I fully intend to track down Playtech at ICE and have a word!

Are you asking people who only play Playtech or that game?

I like the way all games I play have bet sizes that don't jump high like Kong. When I play if the slots are hot, and I raise the bet, that slot goes cold, lol.
Not all the time of course. But the same if it goes cold and I lower the bet, it can get hot.

Are all Playtech games like Kong? They don't have little increments?

But to answer your question, yes bet sizes do affect the way I play.

Boy I miss Playtech :(

I'm asking everyone :) RTG do this too: $2, $5, $10, $20.

Seems the new ones have gone that way. I am not sure if it's a casino configuration thing or a Playtech thing but I intend to find out. They have just done it with all their mobile slots too.

I don't play many new games for that reason (and others). I like to vary bet size but will not jump that high all at once. I play Kong at EuroGrand and the bet size goes up fine. It is 0.01, 0.05, .0.10, 0.25, 0.50, 1.00 and lastly 2 dollars a spin per line

It definitely affects my enjoyment of a Slot. As an example I often play Dead or Alive on NetEnt. Some places have the Coin sizes as 0.01 then 0.02 and then 0.05... I can Progressively up my bet if low rolling from 0.36c to 0.45 ... 0.54 and so on.

Other Places have coin sizes as 0.01 then straight to 0.05 which means that I cannot increase from 0.45c to 0.54c but have to jump from 0.45c to 0.90c... I think this could easily be rectified by the Casino's in question...

King Kong on the other hand is different... I also progressively increased my bet from $2 to $5 then kinda broke even and moved onto the Marvel Slots as the increment was more wallet friendly. I wonder if Playtech has the ability to change this?

Oh, I see. I thought $2 was the lowest bet you could have on that game. Yes RTG jumps like that. I never play over $1-$1.25 unless of course I hit something and have a high balance, but even then I never go over $2-2.50, unless again I have thousands then I may try a $5 or $6.25 for a bit.

So you would like it to be $2...2.25...2.50...etc...?

Maybe not that low but how Microgaming have it is pretty good. In fact, how Playtech had it before was spot on. For example, on Fantastic 4 you could bet 0.20, 0.40, 0.60 ... $1, $1.20 etc, $2, $3 ...etc etc $10, $12, $14 etc etc $20, $22.50, $25 etc.

Basically, when you are allowed to select a coin size AND a number of coins up to 10 a line, you can pretty much get the flexibility you need IMO. I don't get why they have dropped Coins Per Line....you are limiting your audience. Strange.

One of the reasons I don't often play RTG is because $2 is too low and $10 is too high. The only option left on most games is $5 and I get bored flat-betting.

I'm with Simmo here. I always like to change my bet size and do often bet big if a particular slot is being generous. But, I much prefer being able to do a gradual increase or decrease in bet size. Not the equivalent of climbing up a mountain or likewise jumping out of a plane.

I still don't fully understand why some games have such a big difference between bet amounts.
