I blame the over regulation and the UKGC for this tho. I suppose if you want to stick playing there you will just have to do what they say and speak to the safe gambling team on the phone.

Also only reason I replied was cos I had to comment on your new profile picture xD Love it :)

But good luck with Sky Vegas tho. When they ask the questions just answer them Yes I am in control. Yes you are comfortable with the amount you deposit and gamble and you only play with money you have spare etc. Yes it is kinda intrusive and they might still decide to slap a deposit limit onto your account. If that is the case just tell them to send you the money left on your account and tell them not to bother and close the account. Thats what I would do :)

Sorry off topic, but when is next stream?😎

Shouldn't present itself as too big of a problem, if it meant resuming one's gambling activities?

Provided the questions weren't too challenging, I'd imagine keeping answers truthful and simple.

!) Do you feel in control of your gambling? - Yes of course! though not that it's actually any of your business, buster

2) Do you feel that you are comfortable with your spending? - Yes, just uncomfortable at spending it at your shite site

3) Do you feel the money we want you to spend recklessly on our site whilst pretending to care about your welfare through gritted teeth is money you can afford to lose? - Not really, but that's gambling for ya, cockweed, not flower-picking. Now f*ck off and let me lose my money on your shitty, gimped games

Haha its been a few months since its changed. I would use stronger words but id rather stay on here

I only use them for mainly bingo side as they got good promos and I am bonus banned on skyvegas for past 6 years so stoped playing there but gone back recently as they got a new live casino game I like to play.

But yeah Ill ring them and see what they want to know, the nosey fuckers

I think they believe it covers their 'keeping in contact/check in' responsibilities - the usefulness of such an approach is, not very: Sort of like asking Ternur on here if he's in control of his drinking; you think folk are going to go: No, Sir, you're absolutely correct, one is not in control!

I used to play there quite a bit - you'd see semi regular 100% match up's, 5x wagering and then they've completely migrated to 5p Prize Machine offers, so kinda ditched them.

Typically get such q's in an email and just copy and past the email and write Y/N : you'll get a response: thanks for your answers. Yeah i put a lot of thought into which letter to delete in my Y/N

The only times ive ever had to 'speak to someone on the phone', was with 3 different sites... unibet, bet365 and.. i cant quite recall who the third one was but that was a simple call and my account was up and running again.

Anyway, the only reason they did it with me was because id not used their sites in years , and had come back to them after , i think self excluding myself. (self excluding or timing out or something at the time). Not sure if its the same here, but regardless i had to speak to them before I could go any further.

I recall unibet on chat were happy for me to be back, but wanted someone to speak to me first before fully opening my account again. I never bothered. Bet365 i hadn't used in some 8 or 9 years, and for whatever reason, i decided to speak to them. I got the usual kinda questions about me self excluding myself, have i played anywhere else since, do i remember this that or the other (a bunch of random questions i vaguely recall relating to when i play, how much, etc etc). In the end, the woman at the other end of the phone insisted i needed another 6 months away, and that was her final decision - i can come back after that time and try again. I never bothered. Im such a low roller and play very small amounts of money infrequently, I just found it amusing she thought i needed 'more time away'!

What a piss take that was

I know why I got blocked I said in live chat " Come on give us the Jackpot I need to buy my mom some nice birthday presents"

That got reported by chat host and basically was told I coudnt afford to bet as I could not even buy any gifts for my mom if I didnt win

£50 Limit a week :D

This is what life in 2022 be like...

People unable to take criticism, can't make jokes, can't open your mouth without taking 60 seconds to think what may/may not cause 'offence' and can't even gamble in peace. It's like one long egg shell walking contest.

I mean look at this...you said something clearly in jest and it resulted in draconian action taken against you. So essentially in order to not be mistreated you have to censor what you're saying about something completely banal. That's increasingly the road we're going down.

I get where you coming from but I just think they being just way over protective when it comes to safe gambling maybe they scared of fines lol

Yea that is crazy for a comment made in jest. But I do agree it is getting fucking silly now. The UKGC have forced operators to be this draconian unfortunately.

I only see it getting far worse too.......

Just vote with your wallet and play elsewhere, do not even give them the £50 xD

I found you can get the limit raised if you offer sexual favours

It either does that or gets the police involved M, but it’s worth the risk for their 10p fishing frenzy scratch cards

Stuff like this happens because so many complain after the event to regulators that they were a problem gambler and the casino should have known. The casino is just trying to protect itself by showing it has systems in place to detect and help problem gamblers.

Blame all the whingers and complainers that don't take responsibility for their losses.

That's where, as a regulator, you could reply with...

'Under Gambling Commission supervision online casinos licensed within the UK have a wide range of responsible gambling tools which are designed to prevent harm to players such as yourself. You may wish to take a moment to familiarise yourself with these tools before you gamble again in future. Ultimately it is a player's responsibility to ensure that they gamble only within their means'

Why does it need to go any further than that?

As @DreamRJ mentions, this one has come from the UKGC in their new social responsibility code (

).

For customer-led interaction (Section B, Requirement 5, part E), we have:
Customer-led contact: information or hints from customers, frequent complaints about not winning, requests for bonuses following losses, or talking about the negative impacts of their gambling.
So even if said as a joke, they now have to flag it up because they don't want to get blamed for missing opportunities to "identify harm".

Given how much of this will become automated in the near future, very much a case of "computer says no" incoming...
