Should/Could we use Trust Pilot. When Doing Reviews?

Don't see zee point in even considering relying on it.
Some casinos email customers and let them know they'll throw a bone if posting a review on them (If they don't mention the review needs to be positive, wouldn't be suprised if such emails avoid obviously disgruntled members). Some casinos keep an eye on the reviews prepared for shit to be flung, and attempt to spam bad comments away into the lost pages of doom with a burst of good, shilly, comments. And some people are just pissed off with losing, bored or drunk, and so decide to rip into a casino because they can.

Probably one of the few websites you could use for 10 years and learn absolutely fuck all in the process :D

I'd suggest using the Gooble machine to look into the problems with TP. They are not trivial issues and cast some pretty dark shadows on whether TP ratings can actually be taken at face value.

Trustpilot is one of the biggest scams and is an abhorrent website when it targets small business owners.

I guess a lot of you missed the awards that were published a few months ago: The Biggest Disappointment 2022: The Internet

And where I point out how Trustpilot attempts to extort money from small time businesses - like Casinomeister.

The Trustpilot for All British went bezerk so I decided to start answering and flagging reviews. Due to the interaction, the fake reviews have dropped significantly. But jeez how many fake reviews I've seen over the past 2/3 years is insane.

The best reviews are those customers saying everything is shit and you cant hit any bonus or feature. Then you go and try to find the account only to find a customer with £10 in deposits and like 60 spins on e.g. Bonanza.

Well they do have a point. I would expect at least a couple of bonuses on Bonanza with that kind of investment

We’ve had a good experience with TP and proud to have a decent rating, despite the types of customer Jan refers to. We had one review giving us 1 star because they forgot their password, no contact just straight to TP.

Our CS staff simply send review link when someone says they are happy with our service. We also send emails to players offering free spins for a review, but as mentioned above that can also end up with more negative than positive reviews.

All in all, we’re happy with it and yes, all our reviews are genuine despite the claims of some reviewers!

We do have to subscribe to manage the reviews though and it’s not cheap!

Does anyone know the details of how the ratings work at TP? I was under the impression that if you DON'T pay for their "services" then your ratings are essentially downgraded, meaning that all other things being equal you might score 4.7 if you were a paying customer but only 4.2 if you aren't (arbitrary numbers used for the purposes of the example). Anyone know this to be true or untrue?

FTR every company on the planet has a "this is how great we are" web page. Absolutely no offence intended but getting your info about a service from the people selling the service is maybe just a tad lacking in critical judgement, no? In fact if you check the Trustpilot reviews on Trustpilot itself you'll see that many reviewers directly contradict the company's claims about itself. Caveat emptor.

I think it would be unfair to say ratings are downgraded, but if you don't pay you get less features such as the ability to auto-invite customers to write a review so you could argue free users are at a disadvantage at least. Their plans can be seen here:

It's not so much about "rave" reviews, it's about the trollish and abusive reviews that the TP personell tend to ignore. Their customer service are robots, and there is very little you can do as a business owner to counter false reviews (like someone complaining about a different company) death threats (yes, they let a death threat sit in public view for a few days), and anything that is libellous and/or defamatory. They will more or less ignore that until you pay the man. Please read that article that I referred to in the awards. That will spell out how unethical this company is. And the more people that use it, the more powerful they become.

I would not recommend using them at all. Use your own critical judgement.

$250 PER MONTH for a small business owner. What a crock of sh&$.

One annoying thing is that Trustpilot allows people to make personal digs at the owners of companies. Personal vendettas and name calling. These are really sad times we're in when this is acceptable behaviour.

My other half who knew nothing about this thread, but does now, went on TP last night to read up on a company that has been screwing him around. Well he lost it when he saw the reviews. He said all of the reviews were fake. Started off with Love this website in broken english, about 15 that way. He said they are nothing but beep beep scummy beep beep! They dont have competion so they will keep going, or someone sues them

I got told that when you have an account at L&L registered prior before this date/post, you get 50 quid if you leave a 5 star review for all british casino and PM me your username.

Lets test it out.... :)

When I had a lease car and was due to hand it back, the TrustPilot reviews of said leasing company gave me many a sleepless night, with leased car owners being shafted at the end of lease, with great big bills for damage to the vehicles which they handed back.

I had curbed the front drivers side diamond cut alloy wheel on my car and did not get fixed, but upon handing the car back, the damage was within acceptable use and I did not get charged a penny whatsoever.

So I have formed the opinion and come to the conclusion that people are more likely to complain and vocalise said complaint, than actually leave praise and a gushing review. Unless of course you pay TP for that feature enabling you to invite them to, or provide carrots by the way of free spins etc - if you operate an online casino.

Did they really!? How did they broach the idea? I knew people put fake reviews on but to be that brazen about it seems mad
Brazen indeed. Tut tut to anyone who does that. @L&L-Jan ?

Lets see just how many actually do lol.....

I'll go now and leave a decent review (if its straight forward enough to do so ) but no need for anything mate as I'm not a regular player at your fine establishment. If you need more let me know, have a few who I can trust to leave good reviews who won't want anything either....

Edit: Not sure if its worked @L&L-Jan - Nightmare verifying myself due to crappy camera on my phone so struggled to verify my TP account.

I'm banking on Jan having to at least award 20K in bonuses! :D

I love shameless plugs like this one and Mark's the other week (the writer guy)

Two of the best reps on the planet!
@L&L-Jan and @Mark_Lottomart

Hell yes!

Two people I've never met and probably never will that I'd easily say yes to going for a pint/chat with.

After I got a big withdrawal of 2k out of them they sent an email congratulating me and offering the money if a review was posted. Needless to say I did. Kind of annoying because they banned my account not long afterwards citing my exclusion from Leovegas that well and truly predated my account with them. Ah well.

As far as I know they do offer the oppotunity for reply to comments and reviews. But I think they do get more negative reviews as people mostly use it as a place to vent their bad experiences.
