To protect innocent, I will not use casino name. I won some money from a casino and waiting for cashout, then I was emailed that $3000+ will not be paid to me due to $1500 chargebacks on prepaid virtual visa cards. The casino did inform me that their payment processor made mistakes so some payments were processed a month later.

I am shocked as I never did any chargebacks. I went to investigate, and found out that when the processor tried to charge my prepaid virtual visa cards one month later, there are not enough funds on those cards.

Neither the card provider nor the payment processor notified me about this situation, until I cashout.

I do not think I should be responsible for this situation, the casino should not conficiate the entire $3000+, rather they should deduct the $1500 and pay me the rest.

I am seeking advice here, do I have a case? Also, why the processor call these transactions chargeback? I never disputed any transactions with my knowledge.

thanks

So you really had no idea you had deposited money you didn't have to the tune of 1.5k?.
What if you hadn't of won 3k . Would you now be offering to repay the 1.5k you owe?

To be honest to you, I do not have any ideas, because, when I deposited, the money was gone from the visa card. Every time I made a deposit, I did a new upload from my linked credit card.
and those money was refunded somehow and mixed up with few cashouts from other casinos.

My virtual cards are euro and I cashout in other currencies, very easy to mix up.

And if I owed that amount I would repay. The reason is that I do not have much choice on casinos like you UK players, I want to keep playing there and I played at that casino for more than 10 years.

Have you tried to contact (PM)with the Casino Rep ( if there is one here in CM)?:Admins, Indentured servants, Moderators and iGaming representatives
Hi pereblue:

Yes I did and no reply from reps, but I did get an email from casino. The email is to inform me that they confiscated the cashout. I am going to reply the casino with my own view on this issue.
Before that I am seeking advice that if I was at fault. I have been playing there on and off for 10 years till now, this is the 1st time I had this issue. I am not very pleased and shocked.
I want to keep playing there. I do not have much choice on casinos these days. However, I need to sort out this matter first.

Do you know what caused the deposits to your prepaid card to be refunded?
Has the prepaid card provider attempted to charge you credit card again after the failed transactions?
Has there been sufficient funds on your credit card to cover these deposits since the initial transaction failed?

EDIT: I may have misunderstood what you meant. Were the deposits from your credit card successful?

hi refre, sorry to confuse you. This is what I did. I first uploaded fund from my normal credit card to my prepaid virtual visa card. It was successful. Then I used my prepaid virtual visa card to deposit at casino, money was removed from my prepaid virtual visa card. I did 6 deposits on 2nd of June, I repeated this process 6 times. I have no idea fund was returned to my prepaid visa cards few days later. Then I may withdraw these fund with cash out from other casinos or deposited at other places. On 20th of July, the casino re-attempted to charge my prepaid virtual visa card for these 6 deposits, but there were no fund on prepaid card at that time, I was not informed by either side.

On the 20th then did anybody tell you they had tried to take the 1.5k and failed? It's a very large amount to lose track of ?

That's the problem with prepaid cards. Had this been a regular debit or credit card the charge would have caused the account to go into overdraft and the merchant would be none the wiser.
They clearly did a pre-authorization on your card ('when I deposited, the money was gone from the visa card') but this would have been expired for weeks when they finally got around to run the charge.
I do feel you should be given a chance to make good on these deposits. Unless of course, you had anything to do with the transactions being cancelled in the first place.

Most unfair to confiscate 3K when you owe 1.5K, as a result of their processor's cock-up. If they do not come good with at least a 1.5K cashout, I'd PAB.

If they decide to close your account over it, I'm not sure you can change their minds.

While it is a large sum, when you have money coming and going off a reloadable card, and play at higher levels, it's easy to lose track of what happened six weeks earlier, especially when it's nearly a month after that before anyone informs you. Some processors are used by more than one casino too (World Pay, for example, handles one of the casinos I play at, as well as the company I buy bus tickets from).

I once contacted a casino thinking they had paid me twice, when in fact I made TWO withdrawals that evening, and they were processed separately as they were several hous apart (I had been drinking and it was late when I made the second one, after keeping a bit to play on with).

I would hope that your 10 years with the casino would count for something.

I don't know how many days ago you contacted the rep, but if you do not get a response within a week, I'd notify CM.

thanks everyone for inputs, I have written to the casino about what have happened. I have requested the manager to review the situation.
I am waiting for response from the casino, I will wait for another 3 or 4 days...then I might have to PAB...

thanks again everyone...
