Hi I had self excluded with gamstop but was allowed to open an account with vegasbaby in a moment of madness. I ended up losing £500, I know one click Ltd are on the list of companies on gamstop and was wondering if there is anything I can do?

Check the details you used are the same as Gamstop. Raise a case with support and see what happens from there. Numerous issues with Gamstop checks not working properly recently.

Maybe installing something like NetNanny on your PC/mobile/tablet to avoid accessing casino sites altogether and giving up control of your finances to your spouse/friend/sibling.

I find it pretty laughable that addicts think by registering with GamStop they've done enough and all responsibility falls to someone else. GamStop is not your serve/does-all thing, it can only be the start of getting your addiction under control.

Whilst I agree with the above, if operators are allowing players to sign up when on it then it won't end well. Quite a concern the number of cases recently.

People only signing up to GamStop to control their addiction are not serious about it, sorry, that is my opinion. It will never work as any urge will lead them to try it on with different casinos. Any gambler being really serious will see GamStop as only one of many tools and steps that are needed to be successful.

Especially gamblers like to shift responsibility to everyone else but themselves. Nobody has said that GamStop will work perfectly as gamblers will try and surely find ways to "beat" the system.

Plus, the OP has not stated whether he used the exact same details on GamStop and when registering at VegasBaby. Hence, this could be a case where some changes were made to get around GamStop.

Yeah sure, they'll refund all your deposits, and before you know you and a dozen others could pull of the same trick. What's next, a topic in where the casino refuses to pay you the won money out?

I dont think that I am not also responsible, I know I am. I was just asking a question that's all. I used the exact same details on gamstop as Vegasbaby, name, address, email, dob and phone number. To the other ops point if I'd have won 5k and they checked verification and saw I was se, would they have paid me the money without a fight?

He has now so that is a real concern. The system is supposed to work because it checks the database of exclusions. If it's not finding the details then there is a real problem.

If they checked and found you were se then they wouldn’t have paid any winnings. Just your deposit back (possibly not without a fight from yourself). Therefore depositing when your se is a pointless exercise unless you’re trying to get a free ride.

In the vast majority of cases it has to be players trying it on. Why deposit otherwise? Knowing there is nothing to be gained unless the casino fail to spot your se if you win or if you lose squealing I want my deposit back.

If that is the case then VegasBaby / One Click either are not with GamStop anymore or their systems are a complete failure. Did the casino inform you why the SE was not picked up earlier? Other than that it is beyond belief that your SE was not detected with all details being exactly the same.

They have a rep here at CM, albeit not a very active one, but he will receive a notification if you send him a PM: https://www.casinomeister.com/forums/members/one-click-casinos.49429/

I take it you read all terms when you signed up with GAMSTOP e.g.

All the best with getting your addiction under control. As I suggested earlier, install a software that blocks all access to gaming sites and hand over your finances to someone you trust, because right now you cannot trust yourself.

If your in the UK you now shouldn't have the ability to deposit anything without verification and a double check of these registers. We are almost a week into the new rules, not heard anything about how it's working(or not)
