Hi my name is Gail, not sure if I'm posting in right area of site and whether I'm being premature with my query but I wonder if someone can help with withdrawal issue , I was registered with Gamstop for 5yrs which ended this year so asked for it to be removed as thought I'd got my gambling problem under control but fast forward a few months and I realised I definitely havent, Went on Kwiff site to close my account and ended depositing instead Anyway verification message popped up and they'd also restricted account so thought I'd just withdraw what was left of the deposit I'd just made and then close my account, Anyway rather than closing my account like I requested they just put me on a self exclusion for two years and haven't paid me my fairly small withdrawal. Anyway I asked why they haven't paid it and they are still insisting on wanting all my ID first, what I don't understand is why they want all that personal information for a account I've had for a month and is now Closed, I haven't got photo ID anyway as never been abroad or driven so don't have neither a passport or driving licence, anyway ended up sending a copy of card I deposited with a bank statement and a utility bill so will have to see if that's acceptable to them, Any ideas what to do if not? Apologies for lack of punctuation.

Hi, I may have to get you to look into this at a later date but was giving them the chance to do the right thing and pay me before taking it further. Haven't heard back yet if they've accepted the documentation I've provided but will update when I do.

Hi, update they've got back to me and doesn't look like their accepting just the documentation I've sent, have asked me to retake pics with corners of documents showing and also asked me to provide photo identification even though I,ve already informed them I don't have any, they have also sent a link for me to apply for a citizens card and my reply to them was since it's only a small withdrawal amount it would be silly me paying out and applying for one since I wont be needing it again afterwards as have re-registered with Gamstop, and also have never had to provide photo ID to anyone else in the past as they've always accepted the documentation Ive provided. What I don't understand is that if my documents are good enough for a bank then they should also be good enough for them. Will now wait for their reply and if they won't accept what I've supplied then I will take up your offer to put forward a case for me.

As of 20 November the OP had joined Gamstop and wanted their account deleted. Done.
