We have friends who are truly alarmed at a windmill project that is being set up right smack dab in the middle of a migratory path of birds and bats in Kelso Valley in California. The project needs to stop before it wipes out these animals. If you need more energy - quit using so damn much of it. Leave the environment - our wildlife - alone.

I live in Weldon, California. The North Sky River /Jawbone Wind Energy Project has started construction though it was fast tracked through the Environmental Impact Report process. The project is being built on a main migratory path that goes through Kelso Valley on the way to the Audubon Preserve at the end of the road, a critical stopping point for migratory birds. This will be remembered as an environmental catastrophy if allowed to continue.
That's why I created a petition to Governor Jerry Brown, which says:
Stop the massive killing of birds and bats by wind turbines indiscriminately placed in areas that are on main migratory paths. If this continues, it will cause mass extinctions of rare and endangered birds and bats. Our earth's delicate ecosystem will be gravely compromised forever. Thank you, Bimmy Keene
