I took a trip into bizarro casino-land and am paying the price. It appears as if goldengalleycasino.com, a 3WGraphics casino, is not going to pay my ~$600 balance.
I have had a pending withdrawal there since Oct. 3. At first, they tried to throw me off track with responses that could be likened to the oil slick feature in the old Spy Hunter video game. Here's one:
Dear XXX
As we told you before our Bank is currently not able to render its banking services.
We cannot transfer funds to our merchant neteller account. We do appreciate your patience and will transfer your winnings as soon as we resolve this situation.
Regards
Casino support
P.S See the letter of explanation from our Bank
Dear Client,
As you may have encountered, the bank is currently not able to render its banking services in the normal course of business.
This unfortunate situation is the result of a visit to the bank on September 5, 2006 by Dutch and local authorities for the purpose of gathering information as part of an investigation, inter alia into alleged money laundering by the bank in relation to alleged VAT fraud by clients of the bank. The Dutch authorities have placed substantial liens on assets of the bank to secure any claim they may have in connection with the above referred to allegations.
Now that's one I hadn't heard before. It does not inspire confidence.
A few weeks later they changed there tune to another cacophonous note:
Dear XXX
As you know recent USA bill is not allowing us taking any deposits from US Players .
At this moment lots of US players waiting for return of their deposits.
We are under big financial pressure and we are preparing schedule of payments to all US customers.
We will let you know when you payment will be processed
Regards
Casino Support
These two excuses have nothing to do with one another. The former is absurd while the latter is untrue. The UIGEA does not mandate that casinos stop taking deposits from USA players. It is up to their discretion. Further, I had deposited, played and requested payment well before the bill was passed.
As my pleas for payment continued, they simply stopped responding. I contacted the software provider but they just flipped me back to the casino, giving no assistance.
I pitched a bitch to Casinomeister but apparently the casino never responded to him either. As far as I can tell, Golden Galley is still in operation, taking deposits but not paying withdrawals. I can only emplore others to not only stay far away from this dump but to also refrain from playing at any other 3WGraphics casinos. They seem to have a very hands-off attitude.
I regret playing at a less than high profile establishment but I like to try out different softwares and gave them a shot. Bad move.
Casinomeister, please put this place into the rogue section as you said you would do. The list of necessities a casino would need in order to call itself a casino would seem to begin and end with the ability/obligation to pay. This is one casino that does not fit that definition.
