You could already clear your bonus while playing = nice extra, or if you lose your cash balance (normally you'd have nothing left) and dip into your bonus you can choose to forfeit or play with your bonus for fun. There are some restrictions when playing with your bonus balance, but never with your cash balance.

If you lose your cash balance and start playing with bonus balance, there is only a max bet rule, but no restricted game rule. The max bet rule does have some tighter rules for a couple of games, but any game can be played.

I think Melvin will clarify it, but when I won on free spins (like 4-5 months ago) I had to deposit to be able to do the wagering. I was quite surprised too as I was continuing the wagering with the bonus winnings but it did not count, so after some time I checked with the online support who confirmed that I needed to deposit to be able to release my winnings (do the wagering).

The winnings from free spins are bonus (i.e. no cash part like the deposit bonus).

Free spins winnings will be added to your bonus balance, which in turn can be cleared by wagering 35x the initially received bonus amount with your cash balance. If you still have cash balance in your account, you can complete the wagering requirements with that, but if the bonus is all you have then a deposit will be needed indeed.

Any bonus that is cleared will also be added to your cash balance, so this can be used to clear future bonuses as well.
