Hi,

Riviera Gold Casino has the Safebet logo, but i been hearing bad things about Safebet, so is Riviera Gold Casino really "safe"?

This is RTG-powered, so be careful because they are not the best in the industry if you subsequently have hassles of any kind and need help.

Riviera Gold is a relatively new addition to the IPI Media group of casinos. The others are Golden Comps, Onluck and Five Roses. Make a note of that, because the manager at this group has in the past pulled bonuses from players who registered at other casinos in the group without realising that they were all in the same group - he used the "multiple accounts" clause.

I've had a cashout pending for 9 days now @ Riviera Gold. It's still pending in my account. I will wait until Monday to see if they process it. I called support on Friday and they told me they will process it on Saturday. But im giving them the benefit of the doubt. WE shall stand united and make an example out of RTG. Boycott them scums

Yep! For me no more RTG sites. I won't open any new account even for free. I receive many spam e-mail about penis enlargement, hard-core porno, debt free!!!; from gambling, etc.

Anyway, may be their software are rigged. I know it's fun to play there but for the rest a big improvment about service and reputation has to be done before returning there.

RTG powered casinos have had their share of problems which I won't spend time delving into here.

As for a Safebet logo, this is merely a sign that a) the management is too lazy to do their homework to realize that Safebet is simply a shill watchdog organization. They are part of RTG. Don't beleive me? Listen to last week's webcast where I prove it online.
https://www.casinomeister.com/podcasts/

or b) they think their players are too stupid to notice that Safebet is a shill operation.

As for the 5Roses group of casinos. If you only play the bonuses, expect to be booted out.

Riviera Gold have messed me around almost as much as netgaming.com
Unfortunately I played these Casinos before finding this site.
I am still waiting for payment from Riviera Gold and still waiting for a bonus from Netgaming.
Also sadly for me I deposited money at 5roses before I realised they were a sister company to Riviera Gold. I've just about written this money off. We will see.

On April 6, 2003 I opened an account at their site with a deposit of $200 and began to place wagers at their site. At that time their site represented that new players initial deposits would receive a initial deposit credit of $200 for a $200 deposit.

Following my April 6, 2003 deposit I received an email from their support staff stating that they would not be fulfilling their bonus obligation stateing that I was some how engaing in what they term as "Advantage Play" and promotional abuse.

Ther terms and conditions that are posted on their site do indicate that, "15. Should we suspect your play to reflect "Advantage Player Tendencies", your account may be closed and any winnings and promotional funds will be void. Advantage Playing is defined as minimum wagers to the minimum wagering requirements with a subsequent withdrawal request."

I responded that I have never been involved in such activity and that as is evidenced by my current gaming activity at their site PRIOR to the crediting of the bonus (65 wagers totaling $840 with wagers ranging from $10 to $30 with a $40 net win) I did not fit their quite unusual "Advantage Playing" definition.

I requested the information that they had used in making such an arbitrary determination and they, as of the date of this writing, have not responded with any correspondence

The actions of RiveriaGoldCasion.com in this matter would seem to be in violation of at least three of the 10 abiding factors of the Gambling Commission Standards.

"viii. Player disputes must be addressed quickly and accurately."
(no representative of the site has responded to my complaint and inquiry at all.)

"ix. Player transaction logs will be thoroughly maintained."
(I asked them to provide and review my gaming activities since the opening of my account and they have not complied.)

"x.Casino representatives must be available to discuss player account activity."
(No representative has made themselves available to discuss this matter.)

I have writen to GC to determine if RiveriaGoldCasion.com is a Gambling Comission approved site as is indicated by use of the logo on their site?

I notice in reviewing the GC approved site list that they are not listed as an approved site and by their actions relating to my account I am suspect as to their legitimacy.

Somehow I guess my playing and winning at another of their related but unknown sites has made me a "bad guy"....All they want to attract I guess is losers. Sounds like the Golden Palace debacle all over again!?!?!

Just another RTG scam site.....all is well until they have to pay out to a player!?!?!

The Gambling Commission is another curious oddity. I have never heard of them solving any player problem, nor have I ever met any of them. It looks like another rubber stamp fake watchdog site.

The Interet Gaming Commission is another "commission" that is deceptive and doesn't do much of anything. https://www.casinomeister.com/rogue-casinos/

Thanks for the heads up on this. I think this needs further investigation. I'll see if I can't get a comment out of the Gambling Commission.

bl21,
It would seem that you don't have to do anything extraordinary to be labelled an AP at Riviera Gold or 5Roses.
A friend of mine was labelled an AP and Riviera Gold was only about the 3rd or 4th Casino that he has EVER played at.
I fully expect to not be paid after the 3-7 days that they have said I will receive payment (I'm now in day 4, since confirmation) This has been after a long battle to even get them to respond to any of my emails.

The behaviour of their management is certainly mystifying. In these days of stiff competition and costly client acquisition they seem to be squandering many of their customers with these strange AP decisions that do not seem to have been investigated before action is taken. They're throwing the baby out with the bathwater in trying to curtail the activities of Advantage Players.

It is really weird to see so many genuine clients being kicked out.

Sounds like they are labelling anyone who makes a profit on a bonus as an advantage player. :axeman:

I deposited $50 and got their 200% bonus which i think from memory i had to play through 9 times deposit and bonus which i did on various vp games. I did annoy them constantly re my amount wagered until i met the conditions whereupon i withdrew. I got paid on the 7th business day i believe. From reading the above it would appear i was lucky not to be branded an advantage player although surely this is why the conditions are in place, its still a gamble to try and turn over $150, 9 times and have any left. I have nothing bad to say about this casino, they were prompt and courteous with all their replies, and they paid me within the time frame they said they would. The absolute discretion of management to brand someone an advantage player really concerns me tho. If they are worried about minimum play to meet the bonus requirements then up the minimum play requirements and remove the grey area. Why would I play past the necessary turnover amount when I'm in front, thats basically telling a player you must play to lose at my casino or i don't want your business.

Brian --
Your right as rain about the "Gambling Commission" my email to their listed email address bounced back!!

These Shill entities are truely the scourge that undermine the ability of the player to even attempt to ascertain whether legit sites exist.

<,<,

I have just been deemed "an advantage player" by Fortune Towers. They didn't give me their first time bonus and gave that as the reason when I emailed them. At least the were quick to reply to my emails. The only reason I can think of is that I did have a lucky streak at Riviera Gold and cashed out a few dollars profit :)

Looks like another of the same group.

Although Fortune Towers is RTG powered I cannot find anything on the site that indicates they may be a member of the Onluck/ Five Roses/ Golden Riviera/ Golden Comps group? Their copyright is to Fortune Towers casino Inc. for what that is worth.

I have emailed asking whether they are related to the IPI Media group listed above.

Wow, that's the fastest response I can recall from a Support Centre!

IPI Media confirm that Fortune Towers Casino is a sister of Riviera Gold, Onluck, Five Roses and Golden Comps!

Thanks jetset.
I thought they must be. Also they were very quick to respond to my questions about why they didn't give me the bonus.
I wish all supports responded so quickly.
I wonder whether they will let me cash out the deposit and winnings that I made before I discovered that they hadn't credited the bonus.
Funny thing is that they did credit a NETeller 10% bonus.

I got their 100% bonus and played slightly past their wagering requirements. I was down $40 on their bonus but still made a net of $60. I cashin after receiving their confirmation that I met their wagering requirements and requested payment thru neteller. They requested some fax documents which I promptly provided. when I did not receive payment after a couple of weeks, I checked with them and they said that my documents were not in order, inspite of their confirming that they were and that they had reversed my cashin.
I promptly submitted a second cashin and also sent my faxed documents. Then the truth came. They quickly branded me and advantage player and suspended my account. Sometime later, they refunded my deposit. The bonus was reversed.

Those who want to play there, be prepared to lose. If u win, u will likely be an advantage player. Or continue to play until u lose.

Well I have to say it's not often I am speechless.
After all the negative posts about Riviera Gold, their dreadful support, their unrivalled reputation for not paying first time players when they win.....
After nearly a month, they have paid me, no pissy email accusing me of being a bonus player, they paid me the whole lot, $100 deposit ($200 bonus) and another 100 and something dollars on top of that. I have sent them loads of "how can you treat new customers like this" type of emails, maybe that swayed it for me, who knows.
Bottom line is, they took ages to pay me, caused me loads of hassle, wanted DNA samples to prove who I was, including a non-web based email address, but they did actually pay.
Maybe they realised that they are getting a bad rep for not paying bonuses.
I would still be wary tho, my case may just be a lucky one.
No doubt this MB will have something more to say on this matter, but for now, I am happy....

Glad you eventually received what was due, but the sad thing in all of this is that bad behaviour by many casinos is so rife that players are not only relieved but grateful when they are finally paid. It is certainly one helluva industry....
