Rival Could Be As Big As MG, If They Cleaned Up

Well, I know in my "about me" section, I mention that I dislike Rival. But
it wasn't because I wanted to dislike them on purpose... It's simply because
I have failed to find a reputable, trustworthy Rival based casino with on-time payouts, with little or no track records of customers getting screwed up
and down. Truthfully, I just don't think that most Rival based online casinos
have the funding needed to pay players if they won big. Maybe they used to and there are probably some players who have been paid big numbers in the past... But what about now?

The best thing about Rival is the intriguing slots they have and IMO generous
bonus rounds and multiple types of bonus rounds on games like "As The Reels Turn". A lot of they're slots have great music, good graphics and you can get
decent play time when you play them.

Here's an example of some funny Rival business: (ALL IS DOCUMENTED)
I recently went to XXXXX Rival casino off a no deposit bonus chip
being offered. I used it and won through the WR of over $1600.
Max cash out on that chip was $200. So I cashed out and it wouldn't
let me withdraw with my QT account. I contacted customer support and they told me I must make a minimum deposit of $25, which I did.
After two days I get an email saying I must submit my I.D and utility bill, plus sign and date a fax back form. Whatever, I did that. Two days later I
contact customer service and they said they received everything but I
must not block out my expiration date on my I.D. and the date has to be shown on my utility bill, plus I have to actually FAX BACK a signed forum. It's been 5 days since that has been done and the money is still sitting in the withdraw section and still labeled as "processing". This was a test to see how fast they process payments and how hard it is to receive it. Needless to say they failed in my book.

All I'm saying is, does it have to be this hard and painful? Why can't they just process payments within 24 hours? Why can't at least ONE Rival online casino get it right and build their reputation. Build it so that they can gain the trust of the online players and become as big or bigger than MG. Rival has the potential. They just need to go through detox and start new from scratch with a clean slate IMO.

If 3Dice has the capability to appease players with quick and on time payments and FYI, (I NEVER ONCE had to submit jack shit to 3Dice for them to process my withdraw after winning), than why can't a Rival casino do the same? Do they think "Hey, come deposit with us, we'll quickly take your money but god forbid you win because if you do, we will try our hardest to make it the most grueling experience you have ever had doing it. And worst case scenario, we will just ignore you until you fade away". That mentality is B.S.

I REALLY hope a Rival based casino prevails as a savior soon and helps them to become once again a trust worthy place to feel at ease about playing with.

My opinion on Rival is that they have fallen from grace and may never find their cloud with the silver lining again, but they will go on just the same.

When Software providers give their software out like cracker jacks to anyone without monitoring them and putting them on a probationary period, then this just says they don't care as they feel the industry can take as many black eyes as it can get and still come out smelling like a rose.

However recent issue have shown otherwise and Rivals short sightedness has seriously damaged them and many customers that would have been loyal to them for life may never come back to them.

Their games may be unique and potentially well paying, but I had found when I did play them, that the I-Slots required a nice starting bankroll to even play any of them. Getting to the stages for me seemed like watching an entire season of Lost then waiting till next year for the new season. A bit of an exaggeration yes, but I don't have the kind of money that is required to play those slots and am sure many other players don't either.

On the issue of the problems with the withdrawals, they know what you haven't submitted long before you ever make a withdrawal, so stringing the player along for days with we need this, now we need that, is simply a wearing the player down tactic as they know the longer the money sits there the more likely the player is to reverse and reversals usually always ends in total loss for the player.

Rogue casinos probably have hurt the industry more than anything, as Providers see that no matter what is done, accredited or rogue, they can still make a s--- load of money.

Not sure why Rivals take the live chat down at night. It's not run by the best CSRs but at least they could answer simple questions or flush a withdrawal.

Great point. Not to mention when you call they're number for help,
you get someone that sounds like they're at home answering your
calls. It doesn't sound like a call center.

Also I think that there isn't really a "accounting department". Customer
service was able to look at the email sent to their so called "accounting department" and tell me if everything was accurate or not.

I could write you ten pages why not to play Rival but not a single line why you should.
Usually RTG or MG cross my sights and take my fire but that is only because Rival are so far off my respectable radar I can 't even be bothered getting started on them.

MG - think promising student drop out.
Rival - think crack smoking mugger.

    There is no comparison.

I see two major issues with Rival:

    Too many white labels

    Inability to secure speedy processing

The first is a management issue and IMO just bad decision making. Trying to catch up to the likes of Microgaming by flooding the scene with casinos is not going to work, and I think Rival has learned that lesson now, I don't see them popping up like mushrooms anymore.

The processing issues are of course linked to UIGEA, it has become prohibitively expensive for casinos to find ethical processors willing to take the risk of legal repercussions from the US. The huge brands, who have been in business for a decade, can better afford the risk of having shady processors abscond with their money (or your money, really, and this happens all the time now) and they have better connections and resources to secure better processors.

The cost of doing business with US players has skyrocketed and that is one of the reasons why so many have withdrawn from the US entirely.

If you are in the US, and you are going to play at a minor brand, you will have to count on slow processing of cashouts. It doesn't make the brand rogue, they are doing the best they can. Sometimes they get lucky and find good, reliable processing they can still afford, and 3dice did just that. But you betcha 3dice isn't going to share that with Rival, so Rival is still hunting for solutions.

That said, just recently, like the past few weeks, I have seen a slight improvement in Rival processing, so maybe they are going to get that fixed soon.

Meanwhile, I proceed with caution there. The software is nice, so, if you want to play it, just be prepared to wait for your cashouts.

It's funny how you have to select who you want to chat with and the only option is the accounting department! But when you talk to them, it's clear they are not part of the accounting department. What's the point of selecting it then?

So in live chat, they can't tell who you are, what casino you are playing at, your email address, and the only choice to pick is accounting department which they don't work in.

    Crazy.

Its really a big shame Rival went this way.
I still find some of their slots to be among the best and most entertaing ones in the industry.
I'm talking about the older ones, the Scary's for example are the cream of the crop for high variancelovers like me.

But as Dominique says, too many whitelabels popped up in the past year, their whole businessmodel has become a multi-headed monster thats eating itself.
I think Rival has a vast amount of followers, the software is not for everybody, you either love it or hate it.
These players got spread over too many casinos, shopping for the best offers, and as a result some of them got in trouble and others, especially the independent ones are feeling the pain.

On top of that the processorproblems, which resulted in slow pay and negative publicity, a bunch of scandals that resulted in even more negative exposure and there you go..

I also think they concentrated on the US market too much, and scared most European players off with unessecary bonusbans.

I still hope they get their act together and survive somehow, as their games are worth it, and it would be a loss if they would disappear.
I know many dont agree, but its just my opinion.

This reminds me of why some people still play rogue casinos.
As long as they don't screw me they must be OK.
Some of you guys really need to search the forum for some of the back stories on Rival and their Casinos.

I never said Rival were OK. Not defending them in any way.
My last deposit to a Rival was about 6 months ago, fwiw.
Before that I played Rival several times a week.
I just tried to say that I love their games, and that it would be a shame if these games were lost forever because of mismanagement.
