You guys are all way off base. Every year I do this 911 promotion, amongst other important subjects dear to my heart. When I first did it I had players contacting me saying thank you that I did it and in the way I did it. I didn't do it last year, but when I didn't, I received a great deal of contact asking me why I didn't and telling me I should have continued. My style of promotions are different then that of what you will see in other casinos. Thats just the way I am. I like to draw attention to things that matter to me. The only way I can bring any attention to important subjects obviously is to do it through my promotions. I'm from New York, my sister was there when it happened 3 blocks away and just got out, so don't for once think you got me all figured out. Don't for once think I did this promotion for a deposit. You dont know me. I shed light where I feel it needs to be, I keep players thinking and remembering what it is they need to remember. I try to do good where I can as well, unlike others. Do you not see my pledge to The Red Cross? Were you guys also upset at my Katrina Promotion where we pledged? If you don't like something I'm only an email away. This is a very emotional and sensational subject, Danny from SF who joined today for the soul purpose of defending Danny. People were genuinely offended. Rants don't need to be 'rational'. The wound is fresh.
Danny from Costa Rica made a horrible blunder in not recognizing that 'promotion' and 'Painful black day in History' should not be on the same plate. Maybe someday we will see 911 whitetag sales, and December 7th and August 6th BBQ parties with free balloons for the kids. But I doubt it.
I'll venture into dangerous territory and suppose that some of the ire in this thread is being let out because Virtual is considered far less than a savory organization by most of this forum, and with good reason. That's not to say it's the only reason. Other casinos have had new a-holes ripped for promotions and PR that were beyond ridiculous; bordering on krass and predatory. But the bottom line is: It is not now, nor may it ever be, acceptable to mix marketing with tragedy. Period.

I lived in the US on 9/11/2001 and saw the horror on television. It took days to grasp the enormity of the devastation. I have never blamed anyone/thing for the tragedy other than vastly differing points of opinion and how it was handled. If you live in the US, it was a very bad thing; if you live in Iraq or Afghanistan, it was a victory. Conversely, the same is true IMO of the war in Iraq. Differing opinions dependant on where you live and what you believe. Everyone has the right to their opinion.

Danny has the job of bringing in money deposits to the Virtual....a tough job because of the group's rep. Would I have used 9/11 for a US promotion? HELL NO! For a middle eastern promotion? HELL YES!

We are here to talk about gambling.....not change the world. If you are offended by anything, you can post about it. If you are estatic about something, you can post about it. Seems fair to me.

I suppose if anything is to blame for the world situation, IMO, it has more to do with an "us vs. them" attitude than what promotions are being offered by any casino. I worked in downtown Manhattan for the majority of my life and I personally knew many young men that worked for Cantor Fitzgerald.
One in particular...Billy. A year prior to 911 he and I met for dinner. This was the first of many lunches and dinners we shared. We spoke of his pregnant wife and the two year old boy waiting for him at home. Billy lived on Long Island....recently bought a new home.... a young man just starting a life. except......if you care so much and its really from your heart (which Im not sure of because you said 7 years when Its 6) Then why not take the exta time and do this:

Send emails GIVING a $10 bonus and ask the player to agree that whatever they win from that $10 (no WR) , Half of all winnings would be sent to the fund for all of the people who got sick from volunteering and cant afford the dr bills.

This way both the casino and the player can do a good thing and remember with dignity instead of just using the horrific event as a promotional tactic. Lets face it, Life must go on and people are going to do what they normally do on that day with the exception of an extra prayer

I did something like this when my 17 yr old nephew died. I had won eminem/50 cent tickets and put them on ebay. Instead of keeping all of the money, I did a 50/50. I wanted to donate the whole thing but my brother told me he would get very upset if I didnt keep half because of my own dr bills that I had so I granted his wish and just did half.

The way your casino promoted this was unacceptable and in bad taste. Even Raymour and Flannigan furniture didnt do a 911 sale and they do every sale in the book!

If you are a christian, you may wish to look inside for this new start. If you are jewish or muslim you know it will be incumbant upon your God to know if the offense was of ignorance and he has repented in his heart. If you are humanist you may judge the future ethics and morals of this person. I, for one, see this opportunity as a potentially powerful and changing event in the history of online gaming. It's tough. I've been on the verge of removing RTG casinos a number of times from Casinomeister. At one time I did - it was for a few years in fact.

But RTG doesn't care - they really don't. If they did, you would have seen a major turn-around in their business model years ago.

This is the big problem, it certainly is not fair on the decent operators, nor will it make any difference to the rogues. Unfortunately, the world is not fair. As the rogues go more and more out of control, the 4 good operators will be further dragged down. Even these 4 have no organisation that has any kind of control over them, other than being delisted or even rogued here. Players are still relying on these 4 operators to remain good. This is much harder now we have seen so many previously good casinos suddenly descend into the rogue pit, and these have even included eCogra seal holders.
We even had HippoJo, with the best credentials that any new casino could possibly have, and it descended into the rogue pit in record time.
Players who know little about all this will just see the bad and the good RTG operators making the same claims on their websites and marketing - and players will assume that all are lying if they happen to make a couple of bad choices to start with.
Here in the UK, RTG operators may find it hard to get approved by the Gambling Commission because of the bad behaviour of most RTG operators coupled with the unreliabilty of the software in terms of being seen to be fair, and controlled centrally by the provider.
Even the accredited RTG casinos are being accused of fiddling with the games, and because it is known to be possible, they are hard pressed to convince some players that they alone among RTG operators are refusing to make use of what has been provided for them. If this is true, then they are more morally upstanding than most businesses when it comes to scheming to get more money out of consumers. Here in the UK, the most well respected businesses have been caught time and time again "cheating" with sly tricks and even illegal acts just to boost profits. The only way to trust a business not to do something, is if it were impossible for them to do it.

ClubWorld group, despite being highly regarded, have participated in one UK Consumer rip-off, and that is the disguised premium rate helpline scam - soon to be outlawed by OFCOM from March 2008. If they are willing to do this to us here in the UK, what else are they willing to get up to in order to make a little extra.

If a software provider is clearly notified that some of its customers is almost crossing the border of criminal activity (by not paying owed funds), or does something which can at least be called unethical business practice, then it comes to the software provider to keep its reputation by suspending licenses of these customers, as soon as it's allowed by the contract. Doing otherwise would be the confession that they explicitly support those companies in unethical business practice.

Similarly if an operator decides to obtain a licence and software from a provider which behaves - or not behaves - like described above, that is also their business decision. But they have to be aware of the consequences.

With other words I don't see much difference between depositing to Danny's casinos and obtain a licence from a provider which also provides licence for Danny's company.

This example might be a bit overkill, but still. If I would sell a mechanical engineering software, probably I couldn't prevent that a terrorist buys it as well. But when the police comes to me and say that they have found drawings on a terrorists' computer made by my software, then at least I would not send him automatic updates any more. Otherwise my other customers could get notified about the fact that I still send out the updates, and they probably won't buy my software anymore. Or they would buy it with the knowledge that I'm continuing to send out those updates to the terrorist, but that would be their decision.

Guys, Just to let you know a few things. I do not visit the forums so I know nothing about any other post pertaining to The Virtual, right or wrong, valid or posted in mean spirits; I know nothing about them because I do not visit forums. I am only here now because I was told of the 911 post. If my players have a problem, they do not post on a forum, my players see me, email me, and then I take care of them. If they are wrong, I try to explain why. If they are right, I fix it. Like a player that also happens to be a Meister Member, she had a problem. She played the wrong games and was denied two payouts. Being very honest with you now, as I have always been so far, wanting to go out of my way for Casino Meister Members, I approved those games for play and allowed her to cash out and even approved the payout faster then most others. I reversed the situation in her favor and took care of it, all because she was a Casino Meister Member. Would I have done it if she werent? I do not know, probably because I did it with a few others as well that were not Meister Members, but the point was I helped her because she was a member. You see, one of the very first things I did becoming manager of The Virtual was email Bryan and offer my assistance to him and his members, I wanted to open up my door. Hearing all the talk over the years, I wanted to prove to Bryan and his members that The Virtual Casino Group TODAY is not the casino of yesterday that others Think it was. Now, I had plans to jump in once and a while on Casino Meister as well to see whats up and had emailed Bryan a couple times since then, asking if everything was ok but at this point I will not. Last time I visited a forum and willingly opened myself up to players for problems, questions, answers, it was about 2 or 3 years ago. All they wanted to do was open up old wounds, bash me, and act like little children. No one was willing to speak to me directly with problems and concerns. Bottom line was I offered myself up to those people back then and they spit in the face. Instead of wasting my time and energy and allowing them to continue to pull me into a circus world, I stopped altogether. It was only recently that I wanted to try it again and open up communications between player and casino with another forum and thought Casino Meister would be just that forum. However, as I said, I have since changed my mind. I can that see at this point it will be useless, which is a shame. You are not willing to open up, stay open and trust others. This is fine by me. I am not willing to change that type of person any way because they never will change. One day someone will see the importance of sharing between Casino and Player. So, for the second time you had an opportunity to come inside my home and sit down with me, yet it looks like my invitation has been declined because of the few that know nothing about how to be men. I will not be the subject of your thrills and spills. You do not even know me enough to speak badly about me, let alone call me the names with the language you have been. I wanted to get to know you, I wanted to get to take care of any problems you might have had, I wanted to share with you, but I can see you do not want that. Therefore, I will say goodbye. I shall just continue with the ones that do know me and take care of them, thats all that matters to me anyway. If you are a member and have a problem, you know how to reach me. Hey Danny,
Thats a load of Bull!!! You should know, because you saw me go through it before. You can not just flip the "switch" and say everything is new and better. I had the crap beat out of me almost everyday for months before compliments started outshining complaints. Hell I had just got to Virtual when I wanted to clean things up, and a lot of the crap I had to clean up came from you know who. But I did end up cleaning things up, not only did our reputation go up in the casino community, we also got complaints down to ZERO for over 4 months with RTG when I left. Danny you were there and had a big hand in helping clean things up, so I know you can do it. But crying like a little girl, because people have hurt your feelings or insulted you before giving you a chance is WRONG on your part. You are a big boy, listen to the Crap, Fix it, and Move forward. You will be suprised how many people will come to your side after awhile.

As a show of good faith, why not post what you have The Virtual Casinos Slot machines set at, and how many decks of cards at Black Jack you are useing. Or better yet post those numbers on your Virtual Danny page, so people can see the offers you do everyday. Any members who to see those offers, please please please do not fall into the trap of useing those bonuses, I only posted this so people could see how hard Danny works for his people. And if anyone cares, I would NOT deposit there untill I saw a countinued movement towards cleaning things up. Set the date Danny, keep things cleaned up and I will deposit Next Year.

Do the math on those fantabulous slots bonuses.... impossible to pay out on them, period.

From the player's side you almost have to hit the RJ to have a chance at the ever changing WR and then you might not anyway if you play it down to your max cashout they'll just deny your withdrawal and raise the WR again.

If you want this communities 'even break' you'll have to settle up with every PaB in the Meister's logs and probably have to change your business model so you are actually a casino.

I know Danny personally as we shared together and he and I were friends sure we had our clashes but what YOU people dont see is that honestly sometimes us as " managers " , sales reps or whatever dont have full reign over the situation.

When your boss tells you to something you do it point blank. So if everybody is such a patriot now why were you even looking to gamble or checking promos on this sad day??? OH nooo but I bet if Danny would have put out a free chip many would have jumped on it.

YOU were in the business of looking how to cop deals with players and then screwing them over dont be double faced here Im no ANGEL and Ive never claimed to be I shed light on what happens behinds RTGs but Phynq you were the one who started the whole Bonus Abuser thing and screwing people out of their money.
